Dude you were ripping in these!! Some of the best skating I have seen from you. The steez was strong!
Thought the same. Looked very stylish. Smashing it.
Agreed. Very smooth style and grinds.
You're right, Marc has done so much for the brand (as well as filming and editing for Rising), I just hope he gets the credit he deserves for all he's put in so far.
I'm sure Billy knows how lucky he is to have Marc on board. Moreno is a visionary.
I used the 45 degree strap off my Seba CJ as my cuff strap on my Mesmers. Put the Intuition Premium in them with Oysi 68/60. Loving that setup.
Skates look amazing 🙌 love these reviews as always g!
Just a mention, heel pads are a good addition considering all the aluminium frames on the market.
Ask Brandon Drummond about his heel injury.
I agree they can be, but on a raised heel skate it's always necessary. More often than not it's technique that's the issue.
Man I loved your skating! Never seen it, and you´re actually pretty good! Solid good tricks! Thanks for the great review!
yeah i got one of those heel pads in but i took off the velcro pad on my prime liners
i can appreciate a little padding and no bruised heels but i hate feeling like im skating in high heels
Amazing review! Would love to see them with a v-cuff in future models. I'm curious how they would perform if you were to take the aeon cuffs and slap them on the Mesmer skates?
The Aeon cuff is really low so I don't think that would work. It wouldn't come far up this boot at all.
Thanks for the honest review!! keen to cop these. but also nervous about downsizing so that was somewhat helpful. Your skating was dope and I enjoy your accent ;)
Great review. I have the same kind of pain on the top of my feet, going to try this tennis ball trick you spoke of.
Great blading skills! Especially your savannahs are smooth as hell :) and Somerset switches. Keep it up!
Nice clips Dave. Getting good use out of those indoor parks
Love me a good heelpad, guess you don't really need em but they sure are comfortable 😅
Pretty much the same here. I love the skates, but I have easy feet to fit in skates... I broke the cheap buckle in the 3rd session and changed the liner to a intuition. Now it's my favourite setup. Pretty surprised by the frame and wheels as well. Don't get that everyday...
Bro you made these look good.
Nice to see you skate 👊👊
I was bummed I couldn't use the Mesmer Slayer liner in mine even after heat molding it. Sitting through the heat molding process in those with the tightness at the top literally sprained my feet even though I am not too long in the foot, or too wide. I think the heel pad raised the liner too high within the boot, creating pressure down onto the top of the foot where the shell meets with the liner. The only liner I could find to work at all was the 2nd Skin.
I took the heel pad out straight away and it felt better
@@wheelsceneblading I was just considering last night whether to swap it with an Aeon heel. It seems like it might help.
@@wheelsceneblading First off, great review - definitely keep up the great work! :) Second, I did exactly the same: took out the heel pad straight away & since then have no problems at all. Using them currently with my Danny Beer Intuition Liners & works perfectly fine with me. The stock liners were way too painful, even heat-molding them 3-times didn't work at all.
You're recommending the heel pad removal was a good suggestion. I took mine out to look at the difference with and without and noticed mine were glued in slightly forward of the heels edge on the flat plastic footbed. So I decided just to peel them off and reset them closer to the back of the boot, and suddenly the fit has much less of pinch at the laces than I had before.
Definitely agree on the frames. They look way too short for the boots. The dimensions on the fluid Vs are nearly identical to symetrics, but with the big chicken lips around the groove it makes it seem deeper than it is.
The Fluid 5 feels entirely different to the Symmetrics. Symmetrics are way softer and groove much easier. Fluids have no break in time. It all depends on preference....like everything in blading.
@@wheelsceneblading most definitely. Very different material. Just the dimensions are surprisingly similar.
The solid thud on the landings is extremely satisfying. Have you tried longer waxed laces with the wrap around to compensate for the lack of eyelets, just an idea. Marc Moreno for the win, dude is amazing
I actually didn't notice an issue with the lacing when I was skating them. I just thought it would be nice to have am extra eyelet because there is space for it
Good stuff. I never skated thrones back in the day, I wonder what the ankle flex is like? I’m using them 909 with intuitions right now but I feel like all the moulding around the buckle receiver makes it very rigid. I long for solid boot skate with the flex of a shadow 1.0 cuff. Off to the drawing board…
It's got good ankle support. There's not much difference in flex between the Mesmer and the 909. Nowhere near as much flex as the Fifth Element cuff, which is like rubber.
@@wheelsceneblading hmmm, it’s making me want to try the fifth elements haha, I like flexible cuffs like the oldest razor genesis and Salomon and shadow. My ankles are hyper flexy from skating tarmacs with the buckle undone. Obviously bending the knees is best practice which I do also, I’m just keen on pressure points on the side of my shin.
Thanks for your reply.
Anybody got a pair of fifth element cuffs to fit some S 909 shells 😂???
Great skating and in depth review. Missed a key detail though, what brand pants were you rocking?
Which time?
@@wheelsceneblading at both parks. Need a good skate pant. Always
@@longtermsquatterbrown ones are Dickies 874. Black ones are Levi's straight leg.
sick skater man
Nice one dude. Great Video!
When u say u have a wide at the toes how wide across roughly in cm? I currently skate the gawds tf1 old usd 7 shell and really like the look of these
I’m not sure. I no longer have the skates. It’s not so much the width, rather that the toe box is really low. It looks higher on the USD VII shell
@@wheelsceneblading thanks for the reply mate yeah my foots super odd shaped its super flat like no arch mid width but very low and flat on top i have lots of up and down wiggle room at toes on my gawds skate so it may fit great hopefully i find someone who has a pair i can try before i shell out any $$
I've got a fresh pair of classic thrones all stars, would it be able to fit the mesmer souls on them?
Not without modification
@@wheelsceneblading has it been done before? I guess new holes would have to be bored in the boot, but are there any other mods needed?
@@fabianginsel6247 you also need to shave plastic off the soul plate the boot sits flush. The new Mesmer boot is a modified version of the Throne shell, it’s not the same as the original.
Since there's a pair of thems in my shopping cart I think I'll add a set of mesmer souls and go wild on this one :D
Are the mesmer skate shells wider or more/just as narrow, compared to m12s/them skates?
Mesmer is more narrow than the Them 909, but not as narrow as the M12.
@@wheelsceneblading thank you, you’re a goat
Nice review + good skills 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I really want these but am worried about ordering due to size. Im size 9 us. What size would be a good fit for me in these? Plz help
It all depends on your foot shape.
IVE SAID IT BEFORE BUT YOU HAVE GREAT TASTE IN THE BEATS YOU USE. good shit brother. if u ever need any royalty free beats hmu ive been making hip hop beats for over 20 years
@@chinobean3555 send some links to the Wheel Scene instagram and I will have a listen
@@wheelsceneblading aight igy
Hey I have the same size foot also pretty wide. How wide are your feet? I want to know if it's going to be an issue for me
The main issue was the width. I'm not sure what my measurements are.
Hi bro! Could you give let me know please how’s the flex ? Thanks
I would say they are quite stiff, yeah. Certainly more than the Roces Fifth Element but maybe not as much as the original Aeon
Again very good review :)
May I ask what size intuitions you use?
Large

Heel pads..... if you're 39 and your knees are chalk. they're a god send.
Possibly, but no one needs one inch thick heel pads. These ones are much more sensible
@@wheelsceneblading that's quiet possibly so. I'm just saying I ain't no Haffey but I still need them.
Fluid V vs Diridari?
Is the boot as narrow as a M12?
Yes
@@wheelsceneblading 😑 that's the end of that then.
What's your foot width in mm?
That's a very personal question. At least buy me dinner first.
@@wheelsceneblading Jesus man I'll tell you mine first
@@thatmountain I'll measure tomorrow, just for you, babe
Mine are 95mm unweighted and expand to like 110mm under pressure. Without the liner, my forefoot touches the inside of the 43/44 shell. I'm really curious about the 41/42 shell with a thin liner.
@@BrandonShatley yeah mine are 110 unpressured. I Love the Thems but never had a great fit even with the intuition but I'm riding the Blank az 10.5 now and it's perfect.
I think folks shud just buy the right size and stop buying skates two sizes too small. Just getting the right size and putting maybe double foot sizer soles and ur feet will fit perfectly. U can always make ur skate smaller but u can't make it bigger.those little sole platforms is a great way to make ur skate fit smaller. Less issues. I don't know why everyone buys skates sooo small. Little feet look weird anyway. Just a thought 🤔
@@Hayyothhakodesh it’s not about buying skates that are too small, it’s about buying a skate that fits your foot as closely as possible. Buying your Norma shoe size on skates regularly results in the skate feeling loose and less responsive. Putting in extra insoles doesn’t help with that, it just fills up empty space that shouldn’t be there in the first place.
@@wheelsceneblading your probably very right. I guess I just kept hearing everyone talking about pain and feet problems. I played hella hockey and was a professional dancer and choreographer for 26yrs and whenever I sized down I had serious foot problems. Very serious. I started skating in 98 till 2007. Now back at it. I noticed major pain whenever things were too tight. And in my past I developed a foot injury due to too small of footwear. With these experiences I said what I said. I meant no disrespect. But you have skated in length and Im sure your knowledge is very valid. U cud be very right. Happy skating bro.
@@Hayyothhakodesh wearing skates that are too small is definitely not good for your feet and can also lead to back problems, but getting that performance fit and getting a shell that fits your foot as close as possible can make all the difference in terms of feeling and performance.
So you downsized?
Yeah.. this left me wondering if the width would be okay if I just bought my regular size and used an Intuition liner.
I got nuthink agents new skates but all the companies need to stop doing that not making them true to size not only u paying but right away u need to start buying extra stuff which is not cool don’t get me wrong u supposed to buy new stuff like hafe way true the skate but this is not cool but the skates look 👀 amazing
u wanna sell those stock liners?? lolol
Those skates - and liners - are long gone!
Przepraszam, ale to najgorsze łyżwy jakie miałam, ciężkie, rozmiar... dziwny, śruby wbijajace się w stopę i kostkę. Wiele wiele innych wad. Po co ja je kupiłem???!
