It's predictable and boring and usually 95% of the stuff isn't worth half of the Tender they're asking for it. It's getting more and more like the real money store every month, and that thing is an abomination of overpriced, consumer-unfriendly grifting, so...

Initially, the monthly reward was supposed to be "the item everyone wanted", so instead of putting it up for Tender, they'd give it out for "free". But at this point, it means weird back pieces and pets. Remember the New Year watch thingy that you could hardly see? That one was the worst reward so far. But for some reason, mounts aren't the monthly rewards any more - the pets are.
Yes! The June and July trading posts have changed prices to "odd" prices such as 330 instead of 325, or 80 instead of 75( this makes you have odd amounts left you can't buy anything with) they used to put a high tendies reward for the end of the month reward instead of a "cheaper" reward as of recently. This is a trick that stores like Walmart and big retail stores use all the time.
I disagree completely. Making something fully random makes people have no clue on what they are offering. Themed at least gives the player an idea of what to expect. It's actually good. The monthly reward being a pet, however, is just a scam to get people money.
@@igorpopien3346 My only issue is when the themed month feels terrible. For me, February, June, and July's themes fell flat for me. It can make an entire month leaving you waiting for the next month on day one. Give me themed Halloween items for October then I'll probably sing a different tune.

I like pets, i like mounts, i like collecting every transmog. But its pretty poor design to have people wait an entire month for the carrot colored cloak to finally change to a sawdust colored coak.
Problem: Trading post tender value each month keeps increasing and earnable tenders is static, setting people farther and farther behind each month. Solution: Allow players to keep earning tenders beyond the 1000. Problem to solution that blizz has stated: Don't want players feeling that they have to complete every single thing in the traveler's log. (ie the torghast problem) Solution: All traveler's log entries completed after the first 1000 tenders earn tenders at a 10% rate. This allows people to continue earning some tenders just by playing the rest of the month without making it feel mandatory.

the people's own fault, they loved the recoloring nonsense that we now have a duplicate of everything in clothing and mounts, the community has allowed this nonsense to grow the people were stupid not to ask for a recolor system in the game, i would farm for paint blueprints to recolor something myself vs. here you now have a pink horse instead of the original blue one
I've enjoyed it for my druid. But I can understand how it would get tiring. But, I also feel the same way about a lot of the plate armor transmogs. They're neat and all, but I'd love more leather and cloth transmogs for my casters 🥰 we can't get everything we want right away
I'm a woman who really hasn't been big on the pinky purple flowery anime type stuff either. Most of my roster's Forsaken and that aesthetic's just not going to work. At least my stockpile'll keep growing to cover when I find something spendworthy.
I think they should sell treasure maps instead of the items themselves, for example the diving suit it would be cool to go find it in a ship wreck or maybe sergaras weapons have to go do an antorus run
They stopped having mounts as the completion reward because they noticed most people just hoarded their coins every month to buy the mounts and ignored most other items. So now people gotta spend their coins every month instead of hoarding them. Why that is problem I'm not sure, but I think that's the reason.
Seagulls, man. I once saw a seagull literally throw a pigeon under a bus. Seagull and pigeon having a bit of a scrap in Titchfield St in Kilmarnock, just outside the Ladbrokes shop where I used to work. Gull injures pigeon in some way in the fight, it's flapping around all half-gimped, gull then grabs the pigeon in its beak and yeets it into the path of an oncoming Stagecoach bus. Pigeon goes splat, bus drives on and gull swoops back in to pick up the pieces. Next thing I see is the victorious seagull with the last bit of one of the pigeon's wings disappearing down its gull-et.

personally I would like to see older trading post offerings (has been featured in trading post before AND 2 years exclusivity period passed) will be available year-round for purchase using either traders tenders OR bronze bouillons.
That and the transmog for me. I regret it now. I want to refund TWW but it's too late. I'm just not remotely hyped for it and WoW has become a Whale trap for me.
Ive been able to maintain a balance pretty well. Some months have a lot of stuff i like, some dont. Sometimes ill see something in the retuning section thay im thrilled is back. Some months its just the mount i want, other months, the mount is just meh, but i like the armor. Im an alcoholic though, so i see these optional purchases as a win win when i find one i like

I was hoping for class and race armor and weapons transmogs, you know, stuff that people actually want. Instead we get summer wear and squirt guns. If the trading post is just for trashmogs and recolored cloaks, why bother. Maybe the time would be better spent making armor look better on races other then humans and elves.
I know there's more items available on the trading post, but I don't think the per-item prices have increased actually. Full transmog set in March 2023 was 850 tenders. A Backpack treasure chest transmog was 750. This month the full diving suit was 800, so 50 cheaper than March 2023, and the oyster shell back transmog is 800 so 50 more. Relatively the same. A mount in April 2023 was 900, and this month it was 800. There's just more stuff, and the monthly reward for completion is unsatisfying, but it's not more expensive.
Hard to please everyone. Some people will always say "i don't want mounts!" or "i don't want pets" there should be an option to choose tenders instead of the reward
Yeah but there have been a lot more pets than mounts from that reward (at least lately, and I suspect always), and I think it is fair to say that a lot more people like mounts than pets.
Thing is. They could put Traders Tenders up in the shop to purchase but the big problem is half the crap in the Trading Post is fucking rubbish. There is a portion of decent stuff now and then and it's nice to get the mounts I've missed but I'm so not interested in pets or fucking grass skirts etc.

I've been feeling that too, there hasn't been anything in it the last 3-4 months for me, maybe the odd weapon for 100 tender. That being said, then how are Michael and Matt both broke, I've 7k tender sitting there. If they think the stuff isn't good, they seem to be still spending it big each month. I do have a feeling the months after War Within will have all the cool stuff, when the player count goes back up, and a couple of months for returning players to build up tender, they would feel crap coming back for release and seeing lots of cool stuff they cant afford. Remember those Fel motorbikes, insta buy for me
I just purchased the mount from this month's TP and I currently am sitting at 4050 tender. I have not purchased any of the things which would give me "bonus" tender since they dabble in those every now and then. I'm quite conservative on my use. I buy mounts, evening gown gloves, and pretty much nothing else, IIRC.
You know, they could solve a good chunk of the trader's post by making the "do 12 months of maxing your trading post" 500 above cap instead of cutting 500 from what you need to earn.
The Trading Post is essentially just a log-in reward screen (with mostly mediocre rewards, just like in other MMOs). I finished mine on day 1 just by playing Remix without even looking at any of it in advance.
i want them to let us be able to fulfill all the traveler log "quests" "objectives" for tender to buy most of whats in there that would keep people engaged tbh esp xmoggers
I love the battle pets... if they actually have decent chance of being useful in a battle strategy... but in the grand scheme of things... it's a mini game, not the main game, and I'm not sure they have a clear notion of what people want in the main game. Observation: Tender pricing has gone crazy as a means to get people spending real world money on TWW and multi-month subscriptions that come with extra tender. Is it effective marketing? Clearly not if you piss off more people than you are able to con

Yeah, I'm over the pets. Don't use them, so it's just this new thing stuffed into pet inventory. I used to be pretty amped about gear sets and mounts, but... Not so much anymore. If this doesn't improve I'll be ignoring the Trading Post every month
Pets were ruined when they tried to make it Pokémon. Just having a cute little guy follow you around was much better than "gotta catch 'em all!" scouring the land for random critters and bloating our collection tab. I could see them justifying the August trading post by saying War Within releases at the end and bloating September with something good. Only for October, November, and December to go back to pet/back piece rewards, of course
It's like when weekly research came out in Pokemon go. They made it cool and an alternate way to get legendary Pokemon, and now it's garbage, just like the trading post pets.
Would love to have a sentinel wolf, but that likely means there's yet another month I can't afford to purchase my frozen item (due to high tender costs), also... why the heck can we only freeze 1 item? Blizzard adds a F2P P2W currency, who is surprised that they’d get greedy with it. At no point in the last 15 years have they shown a modicum of restraint for additional purchases tied to game content. They dialed that price tag to 11 every time.
The only things I've actually enjoyed and used the last few months is the different colours of the vagabond cloaks, hoods/shrouds and the tabards. Everything else hasn't peaked my interest. I realllllllly want a that blood troll set.

I don’t really understand why we keep getting custom items for the trading post but we get the same 12 reskins for all our gear in a given expansion. Why can’t we have cool quests that get us cool gear. I like getting more options but personally don’t think the trading post is the way to get it. It feels bad getting the items and I wish we could have more to actually DO in the game to get gear. Even the beach gear could have been a cool “visit the beaches of Azeroth” quest, but no it’s the fucking trading post.
Maybe they're waiting for September after everyone gets into TWW? Personally I think they want to find a way to piss off players just enough to drum up support for purchasable tenders again and use the stifled amount of tenders as a reason. They can choose how much we get, this is entirely by choice and on them.
uhm...look, in one hand, people complain that they have to do xxx amount of activities to get the month reward, if the reward is really good, on the other hand people complain if the reward is not good...i don't think the idea of the Trade post was ever for someone to be able to get every item every month, it's obvious they set it in a way that in the furute they can slow down on new items and make the old one circle back (given people the oportunity to grab) I think as long as they don't sell the "coin" it's all cool, cause it's all bonus, as soon as they start selling the Trader Coin, than i say burn it to the ground.
The trading loot been so lacklusting for a good while. i got over 8000 tenders atm. my feeling is the trading loot just been more and more meh. in my opinion there is nothing special anymore.
I only finished the log because I leveled another Remix character. If it wasn't for that I really had no motivation to earn the pet. I don't even pet battle. My max level pet is like lvl 5.
The only thing I bought this month was like my sixth recolour of the scarf, woohoo. And getting a pet for the monthly reward is just... I'm sorry, I do not care in the slightest. The idea that this random naga minipet is "the item everyone wants" is patently absurd and I don't believe for a second that blizzard thinks it is. I did buy the summer murlock set because it was funny but other than that I haven’t spent really anything in the store for shit months! Really like the free things you can earn for essentially just playing the game but man has it been rough lately. I’m a pet collector but could care less about getting them from a store because where the exploration or getting a rare/good role?
They never offer anything worth buying. I have 10k of the dumb things and nothing to spend them on. I am still waiting for the standard blue cloak and hood to come back around

Trading Post never has been "meaningful choices", it was just a new way to sell FOMO and to keep people subbed. Even though items may return later, but you don't know when and can't plan around this.
And god help you, if you have perhaps 3-4 different characters with different themes... then you barely can get the things you actually want and it's more a: "I have to go for items B, D and E. Because I can afford these, for my main. But I have to let go of potential cool items that would be great for your 2nd or 3rd alt. I ever hope that there's a month where there's stuff without any items that fit my OC's themes, so that I can at least save up some tender for one month, but those moments are rare, because there's always several items that fits either for my main or my alt and I can't help but feel there's really no meaningful choice but just FOMO, because you can't plan ahead or don't know when the item returns. Also noticed that some items never return while some do multiple times already.
Once again just gotta insert a "I told ya so" or "I called it" or even "and you thought it would get better LOL!" Same shit, same Blizzard, idk why so many of you still torture yourselves with that shit, it's no where near good enough to be worth putting up with Blizzard being inept.

I've been feeling that too, there hasn't been anything in it the last 3-4 months for me, maybe the odd weapon for 100 tender. That being said, then how are Michael and Matt both broke, I've 7k tender sitting there. If they think the stuff isn't good, they seem to be still spending it big each month. I do have a feeling the months after War Within will have all the cool stuff, when the player count goes back up, and a couple of months for returning players to build up tender, they would feel crap coming back for release and seeing lots of cool stuff they cant afford. Remember those Fel motorbikes, insta buy for me
I just purchased the mount from this month's TP and I currently am sitting at 4050 tender. I have not purchased any of the things which would give me "bonus" tender since they dabble in those every now and then. I'm quite conservative on my use. I buy mounts, evening gown gloves, and pretty much nothing else, IIRC.
You know, they could solve a good chunk of the trader's post by making the "do 12 months of maxing your trading post" 500 above cap instead of cutting 500 from what you need to earn.

The Trading Post is essentially just a log-in reward screen (with mostly mediocre rewards, just like in other MMOs). I finished mine on day 1 just by playing Remix without even looking at any of it in advance.

I love the battle pets... if they actually have decent chance of being useful in a battle strategy... but in the grand scheme of things... it's a mini game, not the main game, and I'm not sure they have a clear notion of what people want in the main game. Observation: Tender pricing has gone crazy as a means to get people spending real world money on TWW and multi-month subscriptions that come with extra tender. Is it effective marketing? Yeah, I'm over the pets. Don't use them, so it's just this new thing stuffed into pet inventory. I used to be pretty amped about gear sets and mounts, but... Not so much anymore. If this doesn't improve I'll be ignoring the Trading Post every month
Pets were ruined when they tried to make it Pokémon. Just having a cute little guy follow you around was much better than "gotta catch 'em all!" scouring the land for random critters and bloating our collection tab.
I could see them justifying the August trading post by saying War Within releases at the end and bloating September with something good. Only for October, November, and December to go back to pet/back piece rewards, of course
It's like when weekly research came out in Pokemon go. They made it cool and an alternate way to get legendary Pokemon, and now it's garbage, just like the trading post pets.

Would love to have a sentinel wolf, but that likely means there's yet another month I can't afford to purchase my frozen item (due to high tender costs), also... why the heck can we only freeze 1 item? Why not multiple?! So that we actually have meaningful choice later on? Why can't we just pick any item from the past months if we decide one month doesn't has anything we want?

Blizzard adds a F2P P2W currency, who is surprised that they’d get greedy with it. At no point in the last 15 years have they shown a modicum of restraint for additional purchases tied to game content. They dialed that price tag to 11 every time.

The only things I've actually enjoyed and used the last few months is the different colours of the vagabond cloaks, hoods/shrouds and the tabards. Everything else hasn't peaked my interest. I realllllllly want a that blood troll set.

I don’t really understand why we keep getting custom items for the trading post but we get the same 12 reskins for all our gear in a given expansion. Why can’t we have cool quests that get us cool gear. I like getting more options but personally don’t think the trading post is the way to get it. It feels bad getting the items and I wish we could have more to actually DO in the game to get gear. Even the beach gear could have been a cool “visit the beaches of Azeroth” quest, but no it’s the fucking trading post.
Maybe they're waiting for September after everyone gets into TWW? Personally I think they want to find a way to piss off players just enough to drum up support for purchasable tenders again and use the stifled amount of tenders as a reason. They can choose how much we get, this is entirely by choice and on them.
uhm...look, in one hand, people complain that they have to do xxx amount of activities to get the month reward, if the reward is really good, on the other hand people complain if the reward is not good...i don't think the idea of the Trade post was ever for someone to be able to get every item every month, it's obvious they set it in a way that in the furute they can slow down on new items and make the old one circle back (given people the oportunity to grab)
I think as long as they don't sell the "coin" it's all cool, cause it's all bonus, as soon as they start selling the Trader Coin, than i say burn it to the ground.

Here's the thing with the trading post, the fact that it exists only proves how desperate Blizzard as been to keep people subbed.
The trading loot been so lacklusting for a good while. i got over 8000 tenders atm. my feeling is the trading loot just been more and more meh. in my opinion there is nothing special anymore.
I only finished the log because I leveled another Remix character. If it wasn't for that I really had no motivation to earn the pet. I don't even pet battle. My max level pet is like lvl 5.
I have so much tender because I hate everything they offer every month. Feels bad 😢

The only thing I bought this month was like my sixth recolour of the scarf, woohoo. And getting a pet for the monthly reward is just... I'm sorry, I do not care in the slightest. The idea that this random naga minipet is "the item everyone wants" is patently absurd and I don't believe for a second that blizzard thinks it is. That just clearly isn't their goal or direction for it any more.

I did buy the summer murlock set because it was funny but other than that I haven’t spent really anything in the store for shit months! Really like the free things you can earn for essentially just playing the game but man has it been rough lately. I’m a pet collector but could care less about getting them from a store because where the exploration or getting a rare/good role?
They never offer anything worth buying. I have 10k of the dumb things and nothing to spend them on. I am still waiting for the standard blue cloak and hood to come back around

As a gay man who mains a Druid and likes to collect battle pets, I want less transmog lol. Give me more pets! But also I’ve never gone out of my way to complete the trading post, it’s passive rewards to me so whatever they put in there is fine with me.
Trading Post never has been "meaningful choices", it was just a new way to sell FOMO and to keep people subbed. Even though items may return later, but you don't know when and can't plan around this.
And god help you, if you have perhaps 3-4 different characters with different themes... then you barely can get the things you actually want and it's more a: "I have to go for items B, D and E. Because I can afford these, for my main. But I have to let go of potential cool items that would be great for your 2nd or 3rd alt. I ever hope that there's a month where there's stuff without any items that fit my OC's themes, so that I can at least save up some tender for one month, but those moments are rare, because there's always several items that fits either for my main or my alt and I can't help but feel there's really no meaningful choice but just FOMO, because you can't plan ahead or don't know when the item returns. Also noticed that some items never return while some do multiple times already.

i am glad i manage to get the balck hood, tabard and cloak, now they keep adding the same pieces over and over but in extremely ugly colors that dont match with literally anything else in the game.
Alot of it is plain hogwash and we all know it. Ive been using the diver suit beacuse im kinda stoked to "dive" into some delves. Its fun sometimes to get into the spirit of things.
I’m sitting in 6k tender because everything they have added is just dogshit, they datamined stuff from when they were first introduced the trading post.all these cool sets/items and yet they have NEVER been added. Like the pole arm that’s like jousting themed with a banner on it. Or the chain mail bikini top. I’m tired of pets and toys I want transmog and mounts. I’m tired of shit items I’m never going to use. Like the armor set the diver set the copper whatever. Like wtf is that shit. I want a cool fucking warrior set with heavy plate and cool weapons. I finish every moth of the trading post and there’s nothing to spend. The mount they added for July was cool but it’s too expensive.
