I was same when I found out my pregnancy. I didnt want to be happy too much. I wanted to protect myself if I miscarry baby or if we couldnt find heartbeat... You make me remember these wierd days... I wish you good and healthy birth
Enorm gefeliciteerd! Fijn dat je ook benoemd dat het sociale druk is, wat een goede leeftijd is om een kind te krijgen. Ik ben 35 en start met een ICSI (stapje verder dan IVF) traject. Helaas is het voor ons al 3 jaar proberen, en dus niet zo vanzelfsprekend. Ook erg lief dat je dat zo benoemt.. Ik blijf je volgen, want ik ben benieuwd hoe jouw zwangerschap verloopt. Geniet van deze bijzondere tijd!

I’m 31 weeks pregnant now and we’ve been trying for 2 years but still had the same feelings at the beginning. I was so scared to have high hopes and then loose the baby and have my heart broken I hadn’t allow myself to be happy until I’ve found out the heart is beating.
When you said about the responsibility “till your last breath” that scared me a lot girl 😂 although I am fully aware of the responsibility when you hear that... it makes your heart stop for a sec 😂

Ik had precies het zelfde! Elke keer voor een echo zenuwachtig of er iets mis kan zijn. Sinds deze week (week 18) voel ik de baby in m’n buik en dat maakt alles weer zo veel echter! Daarnaast heb ik volgende week de 20 weken echo en maak ik me zelf weer helemaal gek of alles wel goed zal zijn, en dat het na die echo allemaal wel weer goed zal zijn haha. Dilan I love ur outlook on life an I also agree with the baby questions can sometimes be hurtful believe me I went through that with my second pregnancy that I lost and I felt the pressure because everyone wanted me to have a boy n that time around we planned him and it just turned out to be one of my most difficult times of my life loosing my son but with my first pregnancy I had my babygirl we didn't plan her but she was a blessing and I swear me and my husband found out the same way u and ur husband did :)

Second, I'm glad to hear that you said you don't want all pregnancy blog or post. I'm taking fertility treatment for years for fist baby. (the profile pic is my nephew) I don't want to name her but she has opened up she's strugling fertility. She got pregnant luckily. The second she revealed that she's pregnant, she post ONLY pregnancy bump🤰🏼
I'm fertility tho, other's pregnancy is happy thing!✨ but at the same time, it's toture for us.

We had been together 14 years when we got married, my husband had had a brain tumour that affected fertility and we spent 7 years without a child, we got those comments you mentioned. I also got a positive test really early, mine on the digital said 1-2 weeks. I knew though, I did have symptoms that early. I now have an 8 year old miracle son and have been married for 9 years in December, together for 23 years in December.
Can I predict a girl, based on those cravings. Mine we all pickles and salt or ice with my boy.
I was also 34 when I had him, and I do feel like you say, we had time to do things together as a couple before we had a child, and I do think in a way that made us stronger as parents. I do wing motherhood though, you can’t plan to be any type of mother, it just happens as it happens. I do however have a little boy that will be a mummy’s boy his entire life. I look at him and although I can see his dad in him, he is a male version of me x
