Honestly, now that I'm getting close to having 6000 tokens for the first time, ive finally realized just how SLOW the game is. Having to open 100 tokens SIXTY times is so insane to me, i know im not the most active or min-maxed player, but ive been playing almost weekly since launch, and ive opened two duplicates from Spotlight Caches. I really dont know when ill spend my tokens, cause the realization of how much time it took to get them is absurd.
I was really excited for spotlight caches as a way to stay current with releases since tokens are such a grind to accumulate f2p. The fact that you can get duplicates from them feels like a slap in the face...happened to me probably half a dozen times now. Nothing better than grinding extra hard for a week for a good cache and getting a series 3 you already have instead.
@@japan100100 The trouble is that you might have to wait *months* before you're able to buy the card with keys, because of the weekly schedule (whereas the token shop changes every few hours and doesn't show duplicates). By the time I'm able to get Nocturne, she will probably be a 3-3...
Remember that trailer that Ben Brode did at the start of Marvel Snap going "Imagine if you couldn't just buy all the cards in the game"? So how's that going.

The one thing that annoys me most about Marvel Snap is the Ben Brode ad where he says “you can’t just dump hundreds of dollars to get all the cards” or something like that. Blatant lies!
Honestly, been playing only Arishem since he released and the game feels fresh to me now. Since I will never have all the cards like people who have been playing since launch, Arishem gives me that chance and it's been great.
The fact that some people in the snap community think that 6000 collector tokens for a SINGLE card is somehow proper for a F2P game in which at most bundles for 4k tokens come at around 60$ is absurd

There’s definitely more bad titles than good but I always appreciate a good name/title combo. I once played someone with the player name JD Vance and the title Silver Couch Surfer.
I can't justify to myself paying in this kind of game, so once I got frustrated enough about not being able to get the cards I want, I quit the game. I could maybe see myself returning if they start doing series drops more often, but it will probably never happen
To me, Marvel Snap is like a rollercoaster that keeps going up, and you're just waiting for the payoff where you feel like all your time amounted to something, and then the rollercoaster just stops.
Marvel Snap is a fun game but I certainly have many grievances: 1. Lack of series drop. They said cards being released at series 5 would mean more series drop, can't even remember when the last one was 2. Albums have lots of potential but they use it as justification for pushing certain variants in the shop and the sentiment that every variant will eventually be part of an album is untenable given they're releasing new variants every day (I am a Chibi enjoyer and am still salty about the Gonzales chibi album being the way it is and the fact that there's no album for old chibi despite chibi being the 3rd largest category of variants) 3. Having no way to get the season pass card during its season for F2P players is annoying, the game is certainly not "play to win" considering it is impossible to ever have a complete collection without paying for the season pass 4. The game, especially with Deadpool's diner, has a fair bit of pressure regarding winning games to progress and get limited time rewards. If you lose a game it feels terrible, especially pre infinite and that isn't a good way for a game to feel 5 Reserves suck, this video confirms it. Titles are pointless, the credits earned feels meh (especially since it isn't a guaranteed number and you can get only 150) and needing to get 60 of the token reserves to afford a new card is ludicrous. The excitement when first playing of potentially getting a brand new card from a reserve is completely gone once series 3 complete and variants are the only thing exciting to get yet they can only ever be rare variants as far as I'm aware which is annoying Sorry about the rant but it feels good to express my grievances. I'm glad I found your channel not too long ago, looking forward to future videos!
I definetely agree with you! I wish they would adjust the token drops from duplicates or the rate of earnable tokens from various objectives in the game and remove the titles, avatars or whatever the boring other thing they give out from the reserves until series 3's were completed. After that it would be nice if we had a 0.5% or whatever chance to drop a series 4/5 card and like a low but fair percent to get super rares as well. This game would feel so much better and people's opinion wouldn't start to change negatively
I've been playing Magic, Hearthstone, and now Snap on and off for a decade and never spent a scent on any of them. If you think "I'm supposed to have every card," then that would suck, but I've always thought "This is a COLLECTABLE card game; I'm gonna have fun with what I have."
My number one favorite thing about Snap right now is having bounties in the Alliances. The higher tier ladder rewards don't inspire me to put in the effort to go Infinite every season so I only play until Omega or so depending on how much free time I have, so having the bounties gives me a bit more incentive to play while also trying out new decks/card combos. My number one least favorite thing in Snap right now is that shop prices have never changed ever. A pixel variant still costing 700 gold is insanity. Having Titles, Avatars, and Gold Tickets being on the same level as variants as far as worth is also insanity. And I would hate to be a new player right now that wants to collect variants and fill albums because they have been putting out so many new variants that if you don't have enough gold for that one variant, kiss it goodbye because you will never see it in the shop again.
You got the Multiple Man variant that i've been waiting to show up in my shop forever.... I've been seeing it in a lot of places lately but still not my shop lol... Good to know that it's possible to get in reserves too.

I actually stopped playing like over a month ago. I realized I had a really toxic relationship with the game. I HAD to get to 100 no matter what, so I didnt sleep, or played all day until I didnt even get boosters anymore. Always falling for the bundles and spending so much money. I enjoyed the game alot at first, but now I dont wanna play anymore.

One thing that took me away from the game years ago was the grind for cards because you can pay for stuff, but it's so expensive it's criminal really, but occasionally I will buy it because I always am missing 2-3 cards per deck that could actually be playable. I returned after a year or so break, and I was able to get back into it quickly. The problems remain the same, but with some minor improvements to how you can get cards.
Monetization always sucks, but this games does it so well imo. I only pay for the season pass and the amount of value you get from that is pretty great. Also, I just love the gameplay. What I do to never get tired of playing is test a lot of different decks, that's why I like videos such as yours so much, with creative decks for me to try. Thanks man

Last week i came back to the game, immediately got confused by all the meta currencies, the pop ups, the do this and try that and all the small red dots. Anyways, started playing my ongoing destroyer deck, and everybody has these new insane cards! Like other than farming bots how do you climb out of bronze?! After an hour or so, i was like yeah this game is not for me. But i still watch you regis regularly! Love you man ❤

You could use splits from cards with the base art maybe The cache's are really underwhelming tbh but I don't feel burnt out playing like 1 or 2 hours and aiming to get every card is dumb because not every card fits every style, this month I just got Marvel boy and the rest I'm not intrested so my resources are fine as a f2p

I've been getting burnt out since I was trying for the Arishem drop (Never got it). Then I went into the Deadpool's Diner grind for Casandra Nova which burnt me out a bit more. Then, after only buying season passes in the game and a couple variants, I spent more money than I wanted to in order to get Copycat. I had to keep buying bundles in order to get credits to get upgrades for my cards, so I could finally get Spotlight Keys for her (It took 4 keys). Ever since then... I have been pretty burnt out. And now, I find the Alliance bounties aren't super fun. I have been having a lot of fun with Marvel Boy though. Thankfully, I got him in 1 key. So that was a nice relief. I still enjoy the game and don't see myself giving it up, but I do find myself playing it a lot less.
I started Snap on May and been loving it. The only problem I have I guess is the card acquisition progress, it's not that much of a problem really but I'd love to acquire more cards tbh. The other part is probably the costs of things, like how much of a super rare variant costs and how much some bundles cost. As well as not being able to buy the variant I want outright. There are more than 370 variants right now right? And having to wait days and days just to get that specific card is frustrating. I'd also like to see more permanent modes to the game. I know this is probably the most budget card game out there but it would feel so much more better if it didn't take months to sometimes get the card I want. Also the rewards could be enhanced for f2p too in my opinion. Let's look at every gacha game and how they handle the f2p of the playerbase. They're so rewarding that you never stop playing them. I feel like this game can also use more social features, better UI and detailed interactions etc. Like I enjoy it a lot don't get me wrong and I got most of the series 5 cards even tho I'm fairly new but I desperately feel the need of QOL updates every inch of the game for me to keep playing it more frequently. (And also the duplicate 1000 tokens is a joke. Should be 3k from my pov and with corpo greed at least should be 2k but 1k is just a joke)
I’m a recently new player and I actually feel really invested on this game. I really like the collecting aspect this game has, and the gameplay is top notch. However the monetization feels kind of wrong. As a new player is super hard to catch up, like even if I buy the gold pass and battle pass I have enough tokens for like 1 series 5 card a month. And then they keep throwing this special offers or bundles that are insanely expensive
I played since launch an had a few months break last year, when I came back to the game I had 14 cards unowned, after playing regularly again for a solid 5 months I have 17 unowned cards, I’m not completely FTP either. Regularly acquiring new cards, completing all content available and still somehow missing more cards than not playing at all is crazy, obviously I know they release a new card a week but as mentioned I’ve been acquiring new cards on a pretty regular basis. Most players will simply never be able to catch up on missing cards if the system carries on like this which is pretty sad
They need to get rid of titles, boosters, gold tickets, and avatars from the CL. Up the amount of credits and tokens you can get, and add gold into the track. Would be a massive improvement that wouldn’t break anything
I spend more time watching/learning how to play than playing and since Arishem the game feels fresh and renewed and I truly won’t ever care now to own all the cards. The game is excellent fun and long as they do these balance changes frequent enough to give the game an ebb and flow it seems like a damn good time to be playing Snap
If, in the spotlights, we could exchange any of the three card that we got that were already in our collection for 750-1000 tokens, I think I’d have no complaints about Marvel Snap
I think the MMR is annoying. I like to play but in the 80s I get completely wrecked and it’s never fun. It’s been super hard to hit infinite again for me. I win with 2 cubes then proceed to get perfectly countered the next 10 games forcing retreats or 2-4 cube losses. I feel like my CL and mmr got boosted faster than my skill. And I suck lol.
The only money I've ever spent on the game was the £2 anniversary bundle and I think it'll stay that way, I think OTAs keep my interest a lot since it allows me to go back to other decks, like I'm currently back into Thanos. In general, I think I probably get 1-2 spotlight keys a week, and try to plan around not getting variants unless I'm specifically wanting that variant, so it definitely feels slow but not the worst. All I want is for a consistent series drop schedule, they must have the maths worked out for it by now, I don't really care about the buying good or anything like that tbh

I think it would be interesting to see you cover the new Pokemon game. In fact, as a Pokemon fan i think it would be cool to see you play a normal Pokemon game in general if you're interested lol. Pokemon games are usually very beginner friendly so you don't have to worry about it being too complicated.
I havent played the Pokemon TCG since I was a child, collecting the cards as a family and going to game stores to earn Gym badges. Our cards are old; possibly worth a pretty penny, now that I think about it. Im sure it's greatly changed by now, but I would consider giving Pocket a go just in the name of nostalgia 😀 Nostalgia for Pokemon apparently doesnt mean much for you, Regis, but could still offer some potential fun lol
I've been playing this game since the global release almost two years ago as a F2P player and I honestly think I'm in a really good spot. I think it's all about managing your resources and get what you want, not everything. But that doesn't mean I'm afraid of the game going through monetization issues that I don't like at all.
I'm a new player and I really enjoy the gameplay but i definitely enjoy growing my collection of cards and variants more, I'm mostly ftp (just get the bp and the occasional variant i like) and so far my only complaints are the outrageous monetization and the lack of more game modes
I’ve always just wanted a dedicated Practice mode from Marvel Snap, like what you’d find in other types of games. And no, being slapped around by top tier lists in PGs won’t suffice
I just wanted to jump in about the cost to have all the cards. I started playing Snap in November of 2023. Right now I am fully collection complete and have been for months. I'll admit that I have whaled pretty hard, for me at least, but I haven't spent anywhere near $9,500. I have spent less than $2K. Still a lot, but $9,500 is wildly inaccurate. The majority of cards you get from keys, which just come passively while you play. If you only get the battle pass and do all of your quests every month you get a couple of keys a week with little effort. If you buy any of the more efficient bundles you end up with even more. Especially if, like me, you started after the keys were added to the game. I know it's still a lot, but I've really done less than $200 a month on average and I have everything. The monetization does really suck, but it's not really as bad as people like to say it is.
The start of the season was great, I got to 249 in infinite, had fun in games. But recently, I’ve just been losing 50/50 after 50/50 and it’s so frustrating when I try to love the game. When I do play a good deck that’s fun, sandman counters it- and don’t say “well, just play around it” because the decks that do that rent fun to me, they’re boring
Gameplay wise I think the game is on a good spot, and balance changes have been good. My gripe is with the monetization, ideal spot for me is if I get the season pass every month and spend 10 bucks more I should be able to get at least 70% of the new cards while playing 1h daily.
Since you're asking, I'll tell my story. I quit the game a while ago. I came back for Deadpool dinner, didn't liked it, made a push to get Cassandra Nova and uninstalled the game back. The Symbiote season looks good, with the new keyword coming in, but I'm so burned out from the game that I don't think I'll come back for a while. If the game becomes healthier, I'll probably come back, as the gameplay and theme appeal to me a lot. But the game was affecting and triggering things I don't like and I'm happier without it. Eventhough, I continue following you and some other content creators to keep updated in the state of the game.
It sucks to get a gold ticket from caches and it sucks to get a duplicate card when using spotlight keys only to get 2000 tokens. Things would feel better if they gave us gold instead of gold rickets(I’d take something as small as 50 gold) and give us at least 3000 tokens for a duplicate spotlight. Especially if every card going forward is going to be series 5. They themselves value spotlight keys at such a premium and it’s a straight slap in the face and kick in the balls that if we get unlucky and have to use 4 keys, we’re not even getting half the value of a card. These small changes wouldn’t break the economy and it would make opening stuff feel considerably better
Hey Regis! This is my current gripe with SNAP: where the hecksies are previous season pass cards in the s.l. caches? With this month and datamines for the next three months, there have been zero season pass cards spotted. The last one released was Hope Summers for the end of july and Zemo should have been August. But he hasn't even appeared in data mines for sept, oct, or november. I'm really curious what SD are planning to do for him and the other season cards that followed since none of them are anywhere to be seen, spotlight wise.
Ok, I'm a new player started playing this year. I have some positives and negatives, from my time play other competitive games. Positive - There's always new content coming out, maybe it's a bit too much but it's fine. They are able to fix the balancing issues extremely quickly. Negative - Cards are extremely hard to get, and because I just started this year staple cards that everyone uses like Nico I can't get. I think it's a good game and is extremely fun, but I can't recommend it to people because it's so hard to get to a competitive level.
My big gripe with snap atm is the fact that whenever it comes to token tuesday, for the past month and a half, the token bundle has ALWAYS been 200-ish gold more expensive than i can afford. If i have 1200 gold, it'll be 1500. If i have 800 gold, it'll be 1000 gold. Conspiracy hat is on, but i don't like the feeling that i'm being purposefully taunted by being so close to the bundle that i might be tempted into buying gold with money. That doesn't feel great.
for me snap is pretty good, having fun on ladder w evo, getting cool variants, it is kinda hard getting new cards but maybe that makes em more valuable and cooler to have, they get nerfed eventually, keep making this amazing content and i hope u still get to spend a lot of time with your family!
I very much hate Arishem right now. It feels like on ladder Arishem was at least 50% of my games. The consistency with which they either dropped a turn 2 Loki or turn 5 Blob is incredibly frustrating. And the adding of 3 cards didn't really feel like much of a nerf.
4:50 love the gameplay but card acquisition is the main the thing that comes to mind. Getting new cards does not feel very good/fun…1 card per week via spotlights just don’t seem like the right answer…
Vibes on marvel snap: Overall pretty good. However, I feel like they're doing a lot, almost too much at the same time. Not letting it simmer. Like, for a long time we just had ladder, and conquest. And it feels like in the span of less than a month we got alliances, league, and the diner. I feel that should've been spread out more. I already have whiplash from the constant card releases and balancing changes. I feel like they could have done alliances, let us do that for a bit, and eventually dropped leagues. The diner was a fun event. Love most things about the game (though I wish proving grounds was just one round) like most people, I am not a fan of the card acquisition, monetization, they really need to pump the brakes a bit with it. They could loosen up significantly and still be making a killing I'm sure.

I've been playing Magic, Hearthstone, and now Snap on and off for a decade and never spent a scent on any of them. If you think "I'm supposed to have every card," then that would suck, but I've always thought "This is a COLLECTABLE card game; I'm gonna have fun with what I have."

My number one favorite thing about Snap right now is having bounties in the Alliances. The higher tier ladder rewards don't inspire me to put in the effort to go Infinite every season so I only play until Omega or so depending on how much free time I have, so having the bounties gives me a bit more incentive to play while also trying out new decks/card combos.
My number one least favorite thing in Snap right now is that shop prices have never changed ever. A pixel variant still costing 700 gold is insanity. Having Titles, Avatars, and Gold Tickets being on the same level as variants as far as worth is also insanity. And I would hate to be a new player right now that wants to collect variants and fill albums because they have been putting out so many new variants that if you don't have enough gold for that one variant, kiss it goodbye because you will never see it in the shop again.
You got the Multiple Man variant that i've been waiting to show up in my shop forever.... I've been seeing it in a lot of places lately but still not my shop lol... Good to know that it's possible to get in reserves too.

I actually stopped playing like over a month ago. I realized I had a really toxic relationship with the game. I HAD to get to 100 no matter what, so I didnt sleep, or played all day until I didnt even get boosters anymore. Always falling for the bundles and spending so much money. I enjoyed the game alot at first, but now I dont wanna play anymore.

One thing that took me away from the game years ago was the grind for cards because you can pay for stuff, but it's so expensive it's criminal really, but occasionally I will buy it because I always am missing 2-3 cards per deck that could actually be playable. I returned after a year or so break, and I was able to get back into it quickly. The problems remain the same, but with some minor improvements to how you can get cards.
I am 100000% gonna be playing that new Pokemon game. Definitely will support your channel.

Monetization always sucks, but this games does it so well imo. I only pay for the season pass and the amount of value you get from that is pretty great. Also, I just love the gameplay. What I do to never get tired of playing is test a lot of different decks, that's why I like videos such as yours so much, with creative decks for me to try. Thanks man

Last week i came back to the game, immediately got confused by all the meta currencies, the pop ups, the do this and try that and all the small red dots. Anyways, started playing my ongoing destroyer deck, and everybody has these new insane cards! Like other than farming bots how do you climb out of bronze?! After an hour or so, i was like yeah this game is not for me. But i still watch you regis regularly! Love you man ❤

The cache's are really underwhelming tbh but I don't feel burnt out playing like 1 or 2 hours and aiming to get every card is dumb because not every card fits every style, this month I just got Marvel boy and the rest I'm not intrested so my resources are fine as a f2p

I've been getting burnt out since I was trying for the Arishem drop (Never got it). Then I went into the Deadpool's Diner grind for Casandra Nova which burnt me out a bit more. Then, after only buying season passes in the game and a couple variants, I spent more money than I wanted to in order to get Copycat. I had to keep buying bundles in order to get credits to get upgrades for my cards, so I could finally get Spotlight Keys for her (It took 4 keys). Ever since then... I have been pretty burnt out. And now, I find the Alliance bounties aren't super fun. I have been having a lot of fun with Marvel Boy though. Thankfully, I got him in 1 key. So that was a nice relief. I still enjoy the game and don't see myself giving it up, but I do find myself playing it a lot less.
That Carnage is so close to being perfect. If only his head wasn't a god damn jack-o'-lantern.
I started Snap on May and been loving it. The only problem I have I guess is the card acquisition progress, it's not that much of a problem really but I'd love to acquire more cards tbh. The other part is probably the costs of things, like how much of a super rare variant costs and how much some bundles cost. As well as not being able to buy the variant I want outright. There are more than 370 variants right now right? And having to wait days and days just to get that specific card is frustrating. I'd also like to see more permanent modes to the game. I know this is probably the most budget card game out there but it would feel so much more better if it didn't take months to sometimes get the card I want. Also the rewards could be enhanced for f2p too in my opinion. Let's look at every gacha game and how they handle the f2p of the playerbase. They're so rewarding that you never stop playing them. I feel like this game can also use more social features, better UI and detailed interactions etc. Like I enjoy it a lot don't get me wrong and I got most of the series 5 cards even tho I'm fairly new but I desperately feel the need of QOL updates every inch of the game for me to keep playing it more frequently. (And also the duplicate 1000 tokens is a joke. Should be 3k from my pov and with corpo greed at least should be 2k but 1k is just a joke)
I’m a recently new player and I actually feel really invested on this game. I really like the collecting aspect this game has, and the gameplay is top notch.
However the monetization feels kind of wrong. As a new player is super hard to catch up, like even if I buy the gold pass and battle pass I have enough tokens for like 1 series 5 card a month. And then they keep throwing this special offers or bundles that are insanely expensive
I played since launch an had a few months break last year, when I came back to the game I had 14 cards unowned, after playing regularly again for a solid 5 months I have 17 unowned cards, I’m not completely FTP either. Regularly acquiring new cards, completing all content available and still somehow missing more cards than not playing at all is crazy, obviously I know they release a new card a week but as mentioned I’ve been acquiring new cards on a pretty regular basis. Most players will simply never be able to catch up on missing cards if the system carries on like this which is pretty sad
They need to get rid of titles, boosters, gold tickets, and avatars from the CL. Up the amount of credits and tokens you can get, and add gold into the track. Would be a massive improvement that wouldn’t break anything
I spend more time watching/learning how to play than playing and since Arishem the game feels fresh and renewed and I truly won’t ever care now to own all the cards. The game is excellent fun and long as they do these balance changes frequent enough to give the game an ebb and flow it seems like a damn good time to be playing Snap

If, in the spotlights, we could exchange any of the three card that we got that were already in our collection for 750-1000 tokens, I think I’d have no complaints about Marvel Snap
I think the MMR is annoying. I like to play but in the 80s I get completely wrecked and it’s never fun. It’s been super hard to hit infinite again for me. I win with 2 cubes then proceed to get perfectly countered the next 10 games forcing retreats or 2-4 cube losses. I feel like my CL and mmr got boosted faster than my skill. And I suck lol.
I’d say the quality of the variants you pulled off was pretty solid. Few Hipps but they were good Hipps. That Scotti young Blade is a cool one.

The only money I've ever spent on the game was the £2 anniversary bundle and I think it'll stay that way, I think OTAs keep my interest a lot since it allows me to go back to other decks, like I'm currently back into Thanos. In general, I think I probably get 1-2 spotlight keys a week, and try to plan around not getting variants unless I'm specifically wanting that variant, so it definitely feels slow but not the worst. All I want is for a consistent series drop schedule, they must have the maths worked out for it by now, I don't really care about the buying good or anything like that tbh

Pokemon games are usually very beginner friendly so you don't have to worry about it being too complicated.
I havent played the Pokemon TCG since I was a child, collecting the cards as a family and going to game stores to earn Gym badges. Our cards are old; possibly worth a pretty penny, now that I think about it.
Im sure it's greatly changed by now, but I would consider giving Pocket a go just in the name of nostalgia 😀 Nostalgia for Pokemon apparently doesnt mean much for you, Regis, but could still offer some potential fun lol
I've been playing this game since the global release almost two years ago as a F2P player and I honestly think I'm in a really good spot. I think it's all about managing your resources and get what you want, not everything. But that doesn't mean I'm afraid of the game going through monetization issues that I don't like at all.

I'm a new player and I really enjoy the gameplay but i definitely enjoy growing my collection of cards and variants more, I'm mostly ftp (just get the bp and the occasional variant i like) and so far my only complaints are the outrageous monetization and the lack of more game modes

I’ve always just wanted a dedicated Practice mode from Marvel Snap, like what you’d find in other types of games. And no, being slapped around by top tier lists in PGs won’t suffice
I just wanted to jump in about the cost to have all the cards. I started playing Snap in November of 2023. Right now I am fully collection complete and have been for months. I'll admit that I have whaled pretty hard, for me at least, but I haven't spent anywhere near $9,500. I have spent less than $2K. Still a lot, but $9,500 is wildly inaccurate. The majority of cards you get from keys, which just come passively while you play. If you only get the battle pass and do all of your quests every month you get a couple of keys a week with little effort. If you buy any of the more efficient bundles you end up with even more. Especially if, like me, you started after the keys were added to the game. I know it's still a lot, but I've really done less than $200 a month on average and I have everything. The monetization does really suck, but it's not really as bad as people like to say it is.
You mentioned close up art.. I wish snap had a 'portrait' series where it's practically the faces, similar to that Luke Cage variant..
The start of the season was great, I got to 249 in infinite, had fun in games. But recently, I’ve just been losing 50/50 after 50/50 and it’s so frustrating when I try to love the game. When I do play a good deck that’s fun, sandman counters it- and don’t say “well, just play around it” because the decks that do that rent fun to me, they’re boring
I'm challenging myself to not open caches between 14k and 15k. Currently at 14.7, so 300 more to open caches
Gameplay wise I think the game is on a good spot, and balance changes have been good. My gripe is with the monetization, ideal spot for me is if I get the season pass every month and spend 10 bucks more I should be able to get at least 70% of the new cards while playing 1h daily.
Since you're asking, I'll tell my story. I quit the game a while ago. I came back for Deadpool dinner, didn't liked it, made a push to get Cassandra Nova and uninstalled the game back. The Symbiote season looks good, with the new keyword coming in, but I'm so burned out from the game that I don't think I'll come back for a while.
If the game becomes healthier, I'll probably come back, as the gameplay and theme appeal to me a lot. But the game was affecting and triggering things I don't like and I'm happier without it. Eventhough, I continue following you and some other content creators to keep updated in the state of the game.
I remember when this used to be all of the (5) content creators doing snap videos like this& the first back ground split was like hitting godsplit😂
It sucks to get a gold ticket from caches and it sucks to get a duplicate card when using spotlight keys only to get 2000 tokens. Things would feel better if they gave us gold instead of gold rickets(I’d take something as small as 50 gold) and give us at least 3000 tokens for a duplicate spotlight. Especially if every card going forward is going to be series 5. They themselves value spotlight keys at such a premium and it’s a straight slap in the face and kick in the balls that if we get unlucky and have to use 4 keys, we’re not even getting half the value of a card. These small changes wouldn’t break the economy and it would make opening stuff feel considerably better
Hey Regis! This is my current gripe with SNAP: where the hecksies are previous season pass cards in the s.l. caches? With this month and datamines for the next three months, there have been zero season pass cards spotted. The last one released was Hope Summers for the end of july and Zemo should have been August. But he hasn't even appeared in data mines for sept, oct, or november. I'm really curious what SD are planning to do for him and the other season cards that followed since none of them are anywhere to be seen, spotlight wise.
I am also super hype for Pokemon TCG pocket, and I would LOVE to see my favorite marvel snap creator play that as well

Ok, I'm a new player started playing this year. I have some positives and negatives, from my time play other competitive games.
Positive - There's always new content coming out, maybe it's a bit too much but it's fine. They are able to fix the balancing issues extremely quickly.
Negative - Cards are extremely hard to get, and because I just started this year staple cards that everyone uses like Nico I can't get.
I think it's a good game and is extremely fun, but I can't recommend it to people because it's so hard to get to a competitive level.
I've never played a Pokemon game either or even watched Pokemon, dw you're not alone.

My big gripe with snap atm is the fact that whenever it comes to token tuesday, for the past month and a half, the token bundle has ALWAYS been 200-ish gold more expensive than i can afford. If i have 1200 gold, it'll be 1500. If i have 800 gold, it'll be 1000 gold. Conspiracy hat is on, but i don't like the feeling that i'm being purposefully taunted by being so close to the bundle that i might be tempted into buying gold with money. That doesn't feel great.

for me snap is pretty good, having fun on ladder w evo, getting cool variants, it is kinda hard getting new cards but maybe that makes em more valuable and cooler to have, they get nerfed eventually, keep making this amazing content and i hope u still get to spend a lot of time with your family!

I very much hate Arishem right now. It feels like on ladder Arishem was at least 50% of my games. The consistency with which they either dropped a turn 2 Loki or turn 5 Blob is incredibly frustrating. And the adding of 3 cards didn't really feel like much of a nerf.
4:50 love the gameplay but card acquisition is the main the thing that comes to mind. Getting new cards does not feel very good/fun…1 card per week via spotlights just don’t seem like the right answer…

Vibes on marvel snap: Overall pretty good. However, I feel like they're doing a lot, almost too much at the same time. Not letting it simmer. Like, for a long time we just had ladder, and conquest. And it feels like in the span of less than a month we got alliances, league, and the diner. I feel that should've been spread out more. I already have whiplash from the constant card releases and balancing changes. I feel like they could have done alliances, let us do that for a bit, and eventually dropped leagues. The diner was a fun event. Love most things about the game (though I wish proving grounds was just one round) like most people, I am not a fan of the card acquisition, monetization, they really need to pump the brakes a bit with it. They could loosen up significantly and still be making a killing I'm sure.
