hi his is my first update of the trumpeter king tiger in this first video i start on the lower hull working on the wheels and toursion bars thanks for looking
In regards to the zimmerit, I used Elmer's Professional Carpenter's Wood Filler. It looks like peanut butter and has the same consistency. It's water-based and doesn't attack the plastic. I apply it in 2 coats. The first is a scratch coat applied with a threaded rod for leveling. The finish coat I applied with a sabersaw blade that had a tooth the look correct for the zimmerit. After the filler dried, it can be cut away to mount the tools and cables like it's balsawood. Looking forward to seeing the finished tank.
Thanks so much my friend really appreciate the tip on the zimmerit will definitely be giving it a try the good thing is you get a tool with the kit to help do it it’s a messy job but I’m sure it will look great when finished thanks again my friend
Just saw this video as you are building my favourite tank, namely the late Tiger I and out of curiosity I had la look on this 1:16 scale model of the Trumpeter. I can see that the Trumpeter has improved a lot compared to the previous models. I will have a serious look on your subsequent videos because I'm planning to buy this model soon, buy the way I fust subscribe! Thanks for sharing this video....
Thanks for the comment my friend yes this kit is fantastic builds well and packed with detail just wish it had a metal gun barrel really hope the videos help you out if you need help please ask and good luck with your build
Bloody hell, Rob, you've taken on a beast, this I will watch with interest. I built this beast when it first came out. You'll do it proud I reckon. You'll need plenty of glue and paint, tis a hungry and thirsty kit.
Thanks so much my friend really appreciated and nice to hear from you yes it’s a fantastic kit and really nice to build just hope I got somewhere to display it lol
Just found you! Name's Les and I am in the States building this same kit right now. Posted on parts 2 & 3 so check that out. But man, to see it from day one, again! I am about a month ahead of where this video is. I was so intimidated when I started! I wish I had seen this video before I did. Your vids are super!
Hi my friend thanks for the sub it’s a fantastic kit really enjoying it I’ll check your progress out hope you’re having a great time building it to and many thanks for the kind words
What colour would you suggest undercoating this internal chassis? I have to ask as i'm colourblind , so i can follow suggested paints but don't "wing" it very well
Hi my friend thanks for the comment I spray mine with grey primer first then I use mig ammo 014 red oxide if you going to chip the paint then spray a dark brown first then a chipping coat and then the main colour hope this helps
