Is Big Island Hawai’i worth your vacation time? Or even your money? Part #1

We decided to come back for a round 3 to the big island, we booked ourselves at the Hilton Grand Vacation king’s land resort in the Waikoloa village, 20 minutes from the Kona-Kailua airport, we do recommend this side of the island more due to its dry weather and beautiful white sand beaches, here we can assure you that you will have endless sunny days now Im not saying the other parts of the island are not worthy but keep in mind that one side is more tropical, meaning it rains more, we explore some of our favorites from the last time we visited the island, and Kehena black sand beach (clothing optional) is one of them also the pohoiki bay and hot springs are the most relaxing, stay till the end and you shall see. We are Big Island fans. We avoid fancy hotels and condos. We like the Hilo/Volcanoes area the best and we've been there many many times. We love the Volcanoes area. There are plenty of
less expensive places to stay. The volcano is Kilauea & there is lots of great hiking. The other side-Kona is lovely, but we just go there for the beach. The food everywhere is just great.

We agree too, we stayed in the area of pahoa before and it was way less but we wanted to explore the area of Kona and we opted to stay at a luxury hotel but honestly it was too expensive for what they offer so it’s definitely our last time we do it 😂 but we definitely love the other side of the island more

We have been to the Big Island many, many times over the last 30 years. We bought a condo south of Kona last year (Country Club Villas #332) and love it. We have explored the whole island, but you gave us a few new places to try!

😂😂 I don’t blame you we would do the same thing too, we loved it I been there about three times now we know the island pretty good
