So this is where all the PL42ACs are! I always love to see them down between Bay Head and Long Branch! NJT always uses ALP-45DPs for the shuttles which I see there to be no need for!
Nice to see the Port Jervis line still uses PL42AC's. I live near the Port Jervis line (Harriman station). Have you seen a Port Jervis line use ALP-45DP's?
They all work fine from what I've seen. The locomotives used on this line are ALP-45DPs, PL42ACs, GP40PH-2 (and 2Bs), GP40FH-2s, and F40PH (2CATs and 3Cs).
I've noticed that, with a few exceptions, most trains in this video seem to only have either Comet V cars or Multi-Level cars. Are they taking over the other Comet cars? I like these train videos, but I'm not too fond of all Comet V or Multi-Level cars with trains.
NICE ONE MAN!! I was just in Hammonton yesterday catching NJ Transit also!!
3:10 There are some Gamewell Diaphone horns in the background on a tower

Awesome video. I sure need to come here again sometime...
Lol, you caught GP40PH-2B 4211 at video time 42:11
Would have been better if I had positioned myself at the crossing... always with my shitty luck lol.
Fan Railer lol
+Fan Railer too bad theres only 2 PH-2 remaining
Really nice video, i enjoyed watching it, gotta love those Metro North F40s...
Another nice little rural station. :-/ horn at 20:45.
Nicely timed 31:43!
43:52 Bell Fail xD
I never seemed a train station like this
It's been a while since I've played it.

the Port Jervis line (up north of Suffern): the locomotives used are only GP/F40s
Calvin H I just saw an ALP-45 yesterday and it's was Train #59.
It varies, but it’s usually PL42ACs with a mix of Geeps and F40s
Trains 59 and 68 have not so good locomotives so they either have PL42s or ALP-45DPs. Rarely theyll have GP40s/F40s :/
Only just caught up with this. The question as a UK based railfan is what works now and what locos are on the line

Thanks
I like that horn 4912 metro north
I wish Dovetail Games make the PL42ACs

i would absolutley love an lirr line, i live on LI
I live near that station. There's a possible chance we may bump into each other sometime....

Other comet cars are used on eltrcfied lines and shuttles

want to hangout soon at Ho HO kus soon
I need your help on how to toggle the atc and acses in the ALP45DP.
CTRL D and CTRL F
What's your favorite type of horn?
K5LA
Is it me or does it seem like NJT does not give a damn when it comes to horn and bell usage procedures.
It just feel dangerous that most drivers dont start blowing until a couple of feet away from the crossing.
You know the procedure for American trains, right?
And what you said is true
The higher the line speed, the earlier you start blowing for crossings. There's nothing wrong with the horn/bell usage here.
Fan Railer oh, thanks for the tip, never knew
Why are MTA trains paired with some njt trains?
They probably borrow them
