- We took the kiddos along this afternoon for a lunch on the second floor of the Polynesian lobby just down from O'hana and Tambu Lounge. This is an interesting one as some of the aspects were pretty good and some need a bit of work... Enjoy!

Used to love this for breakfast but the menu has gotten smaller in recent years and don't see the point now. What I now do and what I recommend to my friends if you are saying outside the monorail route is to have breakfast at Steakhouse 71 and walk over to MK.
The drinks do NOT come from tambu!!! lol service bar in back :) tambu only does Ohana :)
And yes I work there lol, our service bar in back has great long term cast members :)

We ate there in February, the pot stickers were delicious!
Lol we are in flight taking care of some details on our new home build and we ate at the Kona cafe yesterday. My wife and I both had the noodles with chicken and we loved it, I’d definitely go back again !
Yay, thanks for showing us the plant-based option, Leslie! We’ve had reservations here, but have always cancelled them as it just didn’t feel that special. I see it’s closing for refurbishment in August, though, so maybe it will return as a more attractive option!

First time I went to Kona in 2018 it was great. We went again in 2019 and the menu had changed and we had a terrible meal. Would still like to try breakfast though.

We haven't gone to Kona for awhile as many in my party did not like the menu changes. It used to be awesome 15 or so years ago. As the free dining started I feel the Kona started to go downhill.

Great review. Your reviews are always informative. Sometime could you order a gluten free option? I know there are plenty of people who would be interested in hearing how gluten free options taste.
Great point! We will ask about gluten free options. We could at least comment on them if we didn’t order them
