Biodiversity Budget Tracking Finance Solution

Indonesia's Biodiversity Action Plan 2015-2020 required US$ 10.6 billion to manage and promote the country's biodiversity - from the mountain ridges to the depths of the oceans. Since 2021, BIOFIN has been working with the National Development Planning Authority (Bappenas) to advance biodiversity funding. Through extensive meetings, consultations and coordination with line departments, this collaboration has successfully marked US$600 million as biodiversity spending across eight ministries in 2023.
