Wow, It was splendid and I'm splendid. After watching all terrible videos around drives, I got my hands on this awesome video and today I learned about AC drive so much in single video. AWESOME JOB!
To control the linear speed of various material from different reels, with different grammage of coating, would it be possible to programme the VFD to sense the change and manage accordingly? Thanks.
One of the most informative videos out there. Fantastic job and thanks a ton! As to your question below about topics. One idea may be a well focused video showing the parameter entering process for the more used options, start stop, frequency min max etc.... Maybe one specifically on configuring a drive to vary the output frequency from an analog input, say 4-20 mA, including every wire connection from the control terminals to the potentiometer or transmitter and power supply and every last parameter setting then a test run.... I guess we'd need to pack a lunch. (I've been away from this stuff for a while and appreciate the refreshers you're providing here.
Great presentation. ABB also has some of the most user friendly, easiest to program drives out there on the mark. It is basically all I spec out and use, just love them!
I have a question, can i use a vfd to convert 50hz to 60hz to power my washing machine? I live in Barbados and we have a 50hz grid but i bought a washing machine in the USA which is 60hz and the machine wont work. Can you help me ?
Thank you for the question! Household appliances typically have single phase output motors, which most drives cannot be utilized on; additionally, when specified on a specific Hz, the appliance is usually restrained to the voltage that frequency is used with (i.e.240V with 50 Hz and 120V with 60 Hz). We would recommend contacting the washing machine manufacturer for further information.
It would be best to contact the washing machine manufacturer directly. We don't want to make a recommendation without knowing more about the specific product. We wish you the best of luck with your situation!
I had already contacted the supplier but the told me to return it. The problem is that I have moved from the USA so it is extremely expensive to return and import again.
Every Engineer or Technician that works around drives needs to watch this.
Great presentation; clear, straightforward delivery of a lot of material.

Great technical video from ABB Drive US ! AC Drives brain of any mechanical operation !
Great presentation and mini course.thank to ABB
Great presentation. Learned a lot quickly.
Thanks for the kind words and sharing!

Thanks, great presentation . Please send more videos on Drives PLC and Automation
Great presentation! Learned a lot, thanks! btw, our drives at work are 85% ABB's!
I have a 36 pole 48 magnet PMAC motor, what drive would you recommend, The motor name plate says 310v .6hp @ 3ph
Fantastic source of information. Thanks
Thanks for the explanation.
Very good clear explanation. Thank You
Glad we could help!
Superb tech video with mind blowing presentation power!
This guy is amazing, makes learning easy
abb acs 350 we this drive ahu unit how can high speed with frequency or rpm which parameter setting use
Nice presentation... The link you provided to download it is broken.
Thanks for sharing! Looks like the link is broken, we're going to take a look at this.
If only this guy was my lecturer at uni..

can you share the presentation file?
hello! can someone please tell me what's the difference between a vfd and a solar vfd???
Is there a better recording anywhere? Sound is not too good...
Great prezzo by the way!
Not sure if we have a better recording available, however we will see if there happens to be a recording available.
Glad you liked it!
Do you have a current alarm system for your AC DRIVES? Can we set an alarm on the average load capacity of the motor?
