I don’t know why we didn’t soak up pressure like we did in the FA Cup game and only play on counters and in transition for the first goal we pushed the line too high with a gap in the middle for odegard to exploit. If we play the style we did yesterday against quality teams that’s when the lack of DM really shows and Mac is exposed

Cause you cant do that all the time against the big teams. In the FA Cup we were poor in the Liverpool box, we should've been up by 2-3 goals by half time. There is no guarantee that we finish poor again this time. That is a small team mentality. You have to attack. I think the biggest mistake Klopp made was not starting Elliot and Robertson. There was too much space in midfield for Odegaard and Jorginho to dictate the game because Gavernberch is not comfortable in advanced spaces. This was causing issues for Van Dijk and Konate because they had to cover the space in front of them, and then watch for Saka and Martinelli cutting inside from the wing.
Montz you said on Never a Foul that VVD’s mistake was like Gerrard’s slip. Martinelli barged VVD to push him in front of the ball and got in the way of Allison so Martinelli should get some credit, a usual striker would get credit for that. It was a error by VVD but it was forced by Martinelli.
