Out of all the songs about bonking a snowman, this is definitely in my top 5.
IMO, this is one of the best songs Kate has written. It's captivating and sad at the same time.
Kate wrote a song about a one night love affair with a snowman and it made me cry. Name any other artist that could pull that off lol. Otherworldly. She is beautiful.
Her dislocated siren music is one of a kind and timeless, but her music has matured, as she has, into something more mellow. Everyone is allowed to evolve. I think this song is beautiful and very her.

A young girl builds a snowman which comes alive and visits her at night. It’s a familiar story but Raymond Briggs was never like this. Over a stately 13 and a bit minutes, Bush weaves a spare, piano-led, erotic tapestry that, as in Briggs’ fantasy, can only end one way. More than 30 years after she first rose to fame with “Wuthering Heights”, Kate Bush proved with 50 Words for Snow, her last studio album to date, that she was still a singular talent. In other hands, “Misty” would have been an absurd premise, but, with a dream rhythm section in ace session drummer Steve Gadd and double bass legend Danny Thompson, lush but never intrusive orchestration, and Bush’s deep, husky vocals, “Misty” is a fantastical experience, as challenging and ambitious as any of her finest works.

Love the full song, creates an amazing atmosphere, and tells a sweet story. The ending is gorgeous
very deep and cold and sweet album it is. I buyed since it came out, few years ago, but I actually started listening to it recently... I love her music, hope I can see her in concert one day, perhaps in a cold and white and sweet london venue

Love the whole song. This is good and interesting to look at; but, it's lost so much context being truncated. The full version of the song is ravishing and harrowing, just the way I like my Kate Bush!

Why do five fingers always look cumbersome on animated characters?
Nice song.
Probably just because we’re used to only seeing four. Hands are difficult enough to draw anyway, let alone over and over again on animation cells or stop motion frames (where it’s very fiddly indeed dealing with five fingers that are actually doing something quite complex like picking up a teacup) so as you know, cartoon characters are conventionally drawn with 3 fingers and 1 thumb. I think we just subconciously get used to it when we’re growing up, watching Tom and Jerry and Bugs Bunny etc. So when we watch something animated, five fingers look wierd as it isn’t ‘accurate’ in the context of the medium through which we’re percieving them.
Nice, but the whole track is where it's at, though this part is beautiful. Kate's piano is mesmerising.

I think that anyone who forces him/herself to like this album, is in denial that KB has lost it, at least with regard to this record.
It's taken me 7 years to appreciate it (I wasn't keen on The Red Shoes at first but that is now one of my favourites). Sometimes you need to give her work time to evolve as you mature. That said you cannot fault "Among Angels" That is simply beautiful.
