This is great, and clean looking! Now make a version 3 where you put ultra bright RGB LED-strips all over the roof of the garage so the whole room lights up! :D

      Ha ha good idea
I have a tutorial on pir sensors that is based on the same concept.

    Hi Crazy Couple,
pretty good project. One potential issue: my own build worked for a few days, then it stopped running as it did before.
All LEDs but one stay always on now. The startup sequence after powering the Arduino up is also gone.
I have to de-install it in my garage and check what happened - I suspect that the LEDs' current killed the Nano I/Os.
Will report back here when I found the cause for the failure to share the findings for other makers.
Mightbe that the LEDs have to be powered by separate transistors, but let's see what happened.

I think a small problem is that based on which car is being parked the reflecting surface on the front/back may not be the same (based on the positioning of the sensor) so the accuracy is probably not to be trusted blindly.
So if only one car is used and the sensor is positioned right for it then no problem.

Could this be used for a water tank level indicator? What facts are there that I need to consider? Thanks for your informative videos

      Yes, absolutely
You will have to first find out the levels at which you want the LEDs to change colour
Then, just go ahead and update the values in the code.

Hey, couple of questions for you if you dont mind. 1. Arduino Nano board coding, do you have the video of showing how to code? 2. There are different types of Arduino boards, would any one of them work? (if you can provide a link to a board that would be great). 3. How does everything including the Arduino gets powered? Please advise Thanks!

      Hi there
      1. The link to the code is attached with the video
      2. Yes, any arduino board should work. However, my breakout order only allows arduino nano.
      3. You need to power the arduino board using an external power supply. +ve to VIN and -ve to GND.
