What a gaslighting loser! The funny thing is the ex broke his heart before. She will do it again. He is ruining something good for something that isn’t going to last. He will realize too late. I hope that girl finds so much better and doesn’t give that jerk the time a day when he realizes the mistake he made!

In healthy relationships between mature people, neither party has any interest in reconnecting with their exes - when an ex reaches out, they don't respond, or they just have a quick surface-level chat and go about their day. If they have kids with the ex, they still just keep the conversations casual and only really hang out if they need to discuss the children. The fact that he wanted to go to her housewarming was already a bit weird. Its good that she was confident enough to trust him until he gave her a reason not to. Unfortunately she just chose the wrong person to trust. I hope she finds a guy she can actually put her faith in.
