John works so fast! Lovely seeing an artist at work 💗
This has to be one of my all time favorite channels... Entertaining and educational!
John you crack me up. Hundred miles an hour.😀. But i want an irish shovel now for sure.
John you an encouragement to all what we do with out you and your beautiful garden
Oh Joy ! It's John Lord. Up there with Line of Duty in the best of entertainment.
Totally agree, such enthusiasm and energy.
Absolutely love John's garden, his wit, spunk, knowledge!, and an artist! absolutely! Great looking eucalyptus!
I really like that you only allow the hardy stuff in the garden and toss or relocate the weak performers so they can do better in another spot. Love your channel and I can't wait to see the beautiful summer display this year!
John.....I’ll have some of ur energy......love the garden and learn a lot by what u do and explain why u do it!
You are a ray of sunshine you bring a smile to one's face .
It’s like organised chaos on this channel which makes for brilliant viewing 😊
Once again a really enjoyable video - you always bring a smile to my face - I would be in heaven if I had a garden - like your secret garden - thank you
Mmm, you’d work your ass of and have sore muscles if you had a garden. Also a farmer’s tan.
@@elsagrace3893 What I could burn off calories and get a tan ha ha
Thank you John - as you planted that last rose I was hoping you would talk about watering it in AND you did!!!!!!
That is the best shovel!
John Lord... we want more videos!!! Love your channel. I love your humor and no-nonsense gardening!
I’ve started using a chisel for hand weeding - far better than a 4 inch wide trowel . Highly recommend - you can deep real easy & never bend - cheers John all the best 👍
love your videos but, boy howdie, I'm exhausted when they're over - haha !!! thanks for all the info and inspiration, and a few laughs along the way !!!
The brush is beating you up today just like that darn Rose bush , I swear I be in heat crying from laughing 😂 so hard I love you , I tell you I wish I was there , nice seeing you again JL
It’s a joy watching you. Love your energy 💜
Oooh - new camera John - wonderful! I've got a few snow gums here - but I'm in Australia, sub-alpine, so they're very happy. I raised my eucalyptuses from seed - you're right, it's easy. Our gardens are just going off to sleep here - it's nice to see someone working in spring.
I laughed so hard when John commented he shouldn’t make videos in the middle of the day when customers are around, because I was thinking the same thing.
Good to see you again!
So looking forward to seeing more of this garden, & happily we can, here online.
John, could you do a video or 2 in the potting shed showing us what you do. Maybe showing how you do cuttings & potting on. Thank you. Your channel is wonderful by the way, really loving it. X
Always a pleasure to watch your entertaining and informative videos ! 🙌
omg John you made me laugh from deep of my heart .Such a lovely Irish humor of gardening.Love it .Waiting for more videos...
I love your channel and look forward to visiting (and interrupting one of your videos) one day 😂
New recruit John and a wannabe gardener (have been these last twenty years!). Absolutely love your fresh approach where the results from your garden get the star rating as opposed to repetitious Latin names. An avid viewer from here on in!
You should dig up the wild bramble and train it on a fence or wall. The wild blackberries always taste the best!❤😊
LOVE love love Carol Klein..She is my top to view. She needs more shows updated. Her enthusiasm is so powerful, she actually jumps forward explaining things..lol. I covet her aerial view ( looks white from air) of the wedding cake tree variegated willow on her intro. Hard to find. NOW that is one for your garden. My other fav, and have many, is the snowflake viburnum. They bloom 3 seasons. Carol covers all her seedlings w grit and has a presser board. When she transplants plants they are 4 feet tall that she then plants into her "jungle" . I hope she just cuts apple tree branches off w canka and not remove whole tree.
hello from Japan!
i was at a loss without you. you are such a genius.
how can i get such irish tools?
"Irish shovel" LOL. Perfect for killing zombies. I would definitely buy an irish shovel when visiting Ratoath Gardens, or at least a t-shirt with the saying "Irish shovel"
I love single flowered peonies more than the doubles so its great to see some single flowered ones planted here.
I was really tempted to buy Clematis Little Lemons before when I saw it at a garden centre but I decided I didnt have enough room for it sadly.
Thank you for a great video, AS Usual!
At the end of every John Lord video, I'm left wanting more.
Yeay I am excited to view your video, I had to comment before I get a chance to sit and relax and enjoy it!
Thank you always enjoy your videos..hopefully I'll have at least a 1/3 of what you do on my property eventually..blessings

Fantastic new border, 'Beni-maiko' looks perfectly at home there! Thanks for the information on spacing the shrubs.
Hydrangea Early Sensation blooms twice?, I'm getting one!! Great shovel! Cheers!
'I don't know, we'll find out?', must be a new catch phrase!😂😅 From your Anglo/Saxon cousin.
Love watching your videos!!! High energy. You are like the Bob Ross of gardening!!
Fantastic John
Great video... Lovely to see you... Stay safe...
Fabulous as usual 🇨🇮
I’m tired just watching you, where do you get your energy from. You need to go for a rest now. Thanks for sharing your passion for planting and placement. 👍❤️😊
Angsty John - full of energy as usual, sleeps like a log no doubt
Brilliant.
Brilliant 👏👏👏👏
John Lord you are the best
I'm getting one of those shovels!
Beautiful! Inspiring! Thank you!
Hi John, I noticed you don't grow wisteria and so I'm hoping that you feel as I do, that it's a terribly destructive plant. If you could discuss it in a video, it would be so much appreciated as most people seem so uneducated about it until it's too late.
I can't wait to see the garden in full bloom, it's been a long winter without your garden.
what is the amazing white margined tree that John keeps bouncing around but not identifying?! variegated ilex?
I have a cotoneaster and it has hundreds of bees on it this year, never date so many on it before and down 42 years
I wish somebody could explain the plants that Mr. Lord grows in relationship to the USA. He has thriving permanently a number of things that when I look them up say Zone 7. But our Zone 7 would have a very different climate than Ireland.
hi john where can I get bamboo plants, I need the clumping kind as they are not invasive, I am in the north of Ireland, thanks.
Love it!!! Now, where can I find one of those lovely Irish Shovels?! Lol
In Ireland, no doubt:)
They're on eBay
Love your videos
John is the best.
Sorry, yes and I tried a fish fertilizer and I noticed beautiful foliage coming on it now Woo!!! Thank goodness
Your shovel is grand if you only need it for 5 minutes. Try to work with it for longer it weighs a tonne. Exhausting.
Hopefully he makes an audiobook one day
Fantastic
John, it is Euphorbia 'Excalibur'?
When are ye opening john
Hello my friend 😊🌹🍫
My newly Rose bush, is suffering from frost, is there any advice as to what I need to do
Did any of the stems turn black? That happened to my new David Austin rose. They told me to cut below the black parts to remove them
customer wanted to know when you were gonna bust out the power tools. jah bless!
Did you water that rose?
♥️♥️♥️
😂 Superb.
😊😊😊🌹🌹🌹
I'm looking at this video thinking; 'I have it - deer ravaged it' ... 'I have it - deer ate it' ... and so on and so on ... they have ravaged my hydrangeas (Limelight, oak leaf, blue billow and french hydrangeas), dogwoods, japanese maples, rhododendrons, magnolia even ate my elderberry (Lemony Lace) I just planted last week ... sigh.
Heartbreaking, isn’t it?
@@sharonbarrettewing7472 yup
Little spelling error. Fru has to be Frau as in Rosa 'frau dagmar hastrup'
I just noticed quite a few websites spell it as Fru while others as Frau. It has to be Frau though as that means 'Lady' in German
I love the tree so the weedy thing gotta go 👩🏻🌾
💐🖐️💐
Plants are living creatures so they need care and attention, we do not expect to buy a plant then let it grow on it own, I used to see my mother _ may Allah bless her soul _ very busy with her little ones, watering them, protecting them from heat so we would have a little garden in the upper roof. I never knew the importance of her efforts to give us beauty and fresh air. Now I have realized the importance of having a small garden wherever possible. As a fresh learner of gardening skills, I make many mistakes which result losing some of my plants but some _ thanks to God _ are more resilient so they manage to flourish under the hot sun. Checking the plants everyday show us the problems they have and help them survive thirst, or any bugs' problems. It is amazing how every plant is different and how each one adds beauty to your space, so thank God for His Blessings. I see every house should have some greenery and a pet to relieve any stress and discomfort.
I meant to say hear not heat
