- It was just an ordinary Monday afternoon in London when something very special and out of this world happened ... Crowds react to an incredible performance by four piano boogie bosses!
I'm speechless!! Almost. That was simply incredible. Ive been following you for awhile and subscibed. My Father used to play Ragtime and Boogie Woogie upright piano. If only he was still alive to see and hear this!! And you brought back some great memories of hearing him Jam when I was a kid. He taught me this was the very early original predecessor that set up, what was to later progress into and become known as Rock 'n' Roll in the 50's. I'm absolutlety blown away. Kudos to you too, for not only keeping it alive - but now having some other talented jammers who are right into the buzz. Much respect to you Sir, from New Zealand.

OMG, Terry!! This has got to be one of the BEST boogie woogie videos I have seen in my life! What a performance! You and Dr. K. HAVE to get Reece and Jared together with you and do some sort of live event. This is absolutely astounding! The four of you together is boogie woogie magic! I'd pay money to see a performance like this. BTW, Jared's playing is astounding. Look out, Ben Toury! There's a new kid on the block! Lol! I'm on my third replay of this video, and I think I'll play it again. Going to share it, too. I noticed the people that were watching this, and so many of them just looked astonished! I would LOVE to see you all have a live session together like what you did at St. Pancras a few years ago. Awesome! All this video needed was Anthony there with his harmonica. It would have been perfection.

Awesome. My 7 year old boy is learning a boogie woogie song with one of the other kids learning piano. (1 and 2 at the local Eisteddfod this year, so they go alright). His Ba Chan (grandma) is over from Japan and they are all heading back to Japan in a few days. She's learning the second part so they can practice together. I searched "Boogie Woogie" (and eventually Terry Miles Boogie Woogie) and this came up.
Absolutely perfect. Ba Chan (and her daughter) are 100% classical (and pretty good at it too). I put this one on the telly to show her and she watched memorised by the whole thing (the wife spent a couple of minutes also mesmerised.. She busy but) . Wow. (I'll show it to the boy after he gets up from his nap).
Inspiring. I'll put a dollar down I'll see her a year from now and she'll be some old Japanese nanna boogie woogie Queen (cos that's the type of lady she is if she gets her teeth into it)
Might just inspire me to have another go at the piano too. What a time to be alive. I'm really inspired by my family. I mess around with instruments a bit but I'm terrible.. I don't get the process really. Play a song for 3 minutes and I can't do it so I get frustrated thinking I can't do it and I'll never be able to do it. But I watch my children, (and demand a lot from them and tell them to persist where I don't and tell them all the reasons why they shpild. Why they must.. That I don't listen to myself.. Don't end up like your dad kids.. I tell them that too) practice every day and improve. It inspires me and shows me how to be better. I watch my wife spending hours for weeks practicing three bars of some Vivaldi tune on the violin that I already think sounds amazing but she isn't satisfied with. I think of me spending 3 minutes on the guitar on a new song and get inspired to be better.
Then between my RUclips daydreaming of grandeur on the Piano, the kids being amazing, their mum and Ba Chan being amazing and helping them to be the best they can and then the likes of Terry and Co sharing this with the world I can introduce them to this and we can all be inspired.
Maybe a few years from now me Ba Chan and the two kids can put a video of the four of us up on you tube like this (my role will be the one finger, one note out of time melody)
And I'll close with noting the biggest thing you see in these videos, outside of the music, is the joy it brings to everybody. The people playing, the people watching and even the people just walking by on the way to something that they can't stop for. (Maybe some of them will be a little inspired to create a life where they sacrifice a little to gain time to stop)
And of course bringing joy and inspiration to all these people sitting at home on the couch, making lunch, having a quick break and a coffee. Whatever
