@@jordanherkowski5052 if you bring them in already rolled and already to be processed then yes but if you bring them in for them to hand count, absolutely not.
@@trishtips419 I can’t speak for all banks, but I’ve been saving and rolling up coins for years now, and every bank I’ve ever been to gave me 100% of my turn-in’s.
I save my quarters in a big 5 gallon water jug. So it started because I’m not the greatest with money. If the money just sits in my bank account, I’ll swipe my debit card and spend it. If it’s in my savings account, I’ll act on impulse and transfer it to my checking account and swipe my debit card and spend it. So then I started saving cash in bills at home and hiding it in the closet. I found myself grabbing $10 here, $20 there and spending it. Quarters in a 5 gallon jug is the only thing I’ve found where I can put it there and leave it there and not spend it because it would be a hassle to spend it and I don’t want the hassle. It sucks, but that’s the way I do it. It works for me. I’m extreme with it too. Like I’ll be at the grocery store and get like $10 cash back and then go next door to the bank and buy a roll of quarters from them, take the roll home and break it open and put all the loose quarters in the jug because I’m afraid of grabbing the roll and spending it.
Thats a good strategy bro 👍 Another strategy would be to get another savings account at a different bank and don’t get an ATM card from them and don’t download their app. Maybe you can put all your coin money in that account and forget about it.
hey i use to be like you but i got burnt out spending my money now i save 100's of dollars i even go to the bank get rolls of quarters. i also work for domino's which helps not only that but i also get $2,495 from ssdi. i have 1200 dollars in my little big baseball plastic beer bottle i threw in 700 dollars in recently and i believe i have like 500 dollars in quarters but i aint counting the money yet till i get me a 5 gallon jug when my giant plastic beer bottle change saver is filled to the top i'm gonna dump it in the 5 gallon jug and start over filling the big plastic beer bottle, i'll probably end up getting me like 3, 5 gallon jugs cause i plan on buying me a new truck soon or an RV i need the money. my dad always told me if i want something save mym oney up and buy it. took me 15 years to get burnt out and i'm finally put quarters and 20$ bills away
Hey, I agree 100% grabbing the quarters from the jar is a hassle. The best way to save. Thank you for sharing your story. Very appreciated. And true 🙏💯
I know this old but it makes me wanna save up like you did , it's easy to save the cash but I'll take a little bit at a time for something and there goes my little savings. My goal next year is to start going to the bank and getting $40 of any coin to save in both containers. I have a 5 gallon jug and a glass gun that I randomly found under my house it held alcohol in it but it only holds pennies and dimes . So fingers crossed I actually can cash it at the end of 2025
Have you looked through those quarters? There are some that could be worth thousands and more. If you have the Centennial ones there was a lot too! They were prints in 1976.
Most centennial dont have any value other than face value. (Unless there in MS grade). They should have looked if any of those quarters were pre 1965 quarters since those have silver and are worth more than face value
I’m curious as to why it ends in .55 cents. It should always end in .25, .50, .75 or .00 unless they took out a percentage and .55 is the ending total 🤔
Me: wow this would make a good hobby to do since is getting close to new year's ima do it one more step to being rich... Also me: realizeing how long a year is...... 😬
In 1971 a senior gentleman came into the bank I worked for on three SEPARATE occasions within a year and cashed in $6,000 worth of change each time. 6K in 1971 money is equivalent to 40K in 2020 money
Congratulations to you, my friend. One thing I don’t do is go through all that change. But if I had to trust me, I would. at this point, I believe I’ll leave that one up to you you wanna come by and check all my quarters I’ll take 20% of whatever you find and the rest is for you.

@@marvinhicks4100 absolutely it was heavy and hard to get the quarters out that little hole on the 5 gallon water jug. Next time it has to be something with a bigger top. For sure. 👍
A dude I knew had about 5ive of those bottles full to the top quarters 8 bottles of dimes and a few bottles of dimes wow I knew it was a lot of money but damn ...
Time to hit the showers. $2,500…the smart thing to do is buy a 1 oz American Gold Eagle (at spot price, the deals are available), and maybe another 1/4 oz AGE with the remainder. Now you’d be securing the future value (purchasing power) of that $2,500, and be able to carry it in your pocket, instead of a shopping cart.
That's going to be impossible for me. How do people get so many quarters? I've saved mines for 8 years and if I cash in my coins it's probably barely reach 1k. Reaching $2k is a dream!

Not only that I tell him thank you many times, but I also tipped him. I’m probably the only person that goes there and tips. At least in that neighborhood. Always your helper man.
Who the hell stores money in a 5 gallon water jug? You should already know you can't pour them out easily. User a 5 gallon bucket from Lowe's or Home Depot.
I can’t believe that. I agree 100% the only problem with that is it’s much easier to grab it. And what we call a hassle to take the quarters out will be spent every day to go to the store and buy……. lol. it was a serious pain in the ass and super heavy. I’m very slow coming out of the 5 gallon water jug, but it was good for savings.
