At 0:40 she says jewelry must be removed "other than plain bands/wedding rings which can remain in place"-NOT for surgical scrub! ALL jewelry must be removed.
That's why you see a female scrub techs will wear their wedding rings in a necklace :) and tbh, I've never met a female surgeon so can't say what female surgeons do lol.

You should open the gloves in sterile technique inside the package before scrubbing or explain that the circulator opened the gloves for you inside the package
@@melaniep4099 True, but a regular faucet? Really? The hospital should be able to afford those knee activated faucets or at least those motion sensor ones. You don't have to keep the water running until you need to rinse.

how do I put surgical scrubs and surgical shoes covers and surgical cap and surgical mask and surgical gown and surgical gloves over the surgical gown cuffs for surgeon costume
In the United States we have absolutely different technique for surgical hand scrub which is way better than that one I just saw in this video. And, all our faucets are hands-free with electronic sensors that significantly reduces the risk of contamination and don't let the water run while performing the surgical hand scrub.
Every day. Well, it's like other things in life. You're actually thinking about what you'll be doing in the OR and watching others for breaks in aseptic technique.

No, she didn’t. You open your gown pack before you scrub. You can’t scrub, then touch the outside of the pack. You open your gown pack, go scrub, dry hands, and put on your gown, then gloves.

Its necessary to do so with such a tap because touching it will contaminate the person,Another person will do that, if the person scrubbing up does that they will risk contamination. For such reasons a lot of hospitals have a sensor faucet or a feet operated water supply.

Wash hands for 2 minutes taking care to waste as much water as possible. Don't worry about turning that water off. Just watch is go to no use whatsoever.
Apart from the fact that life is more important than a little waste of water you can't waste water anyway. At least not in the way you use gasoline for example. If you burn gasoline, the gasoline is gone. If you use water, the water is still there. You can clear it up in a sewer process and use it again.

Use foot operated tap to save water!
I’m honestly confused as to why all faucets in the world, medical or otherwise, don’t have foot pedals.

Love surgical style. Love surgical gloves ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pretty good. No jewelry at all. I think that the circulator's fingers were too close to yours.
Excellent Presentation !!

Well yeah water conservation is important, but surgeons need their hands to be clean to prevent the spread of infection.

The crossed fingers not hands😅

Not old, you just get used to doing it
Most hospitals only require a complete scrub once, and then you can use the special hand sanitizer type scrub for the rest of the day.
What is the difference between the first and the last washing?
thanks for the demos and skills it helps a lot in my profession as clinical instructor
Thanks a lot so benificial 🌸
We have sensor operated faucet even in a 3rd world country
The NHS is worse than most third world countries lol
Surely in more modern hospitals, there would be a foot pedal or motion-activated tap, as to not waste water...
In the USA a foot or leg control is required, this is in the UK I believe.
Nothing lives under the nails of course! Hilarious.

The person holding the card needs to go around you while you stay still
I’m in surg tech school now, and we have the circulator hold the card while we spin around.
notice the small space please.
um no.

How did you wash your hands FIRST, then open your your gown pack? The plastic wrapping of the gown ISN'T sterile. You just broke sterility 🤦♂️

I usually turn it off while scrubbing my hands especially if it works by sensor
if it's motion sensor you can turn it off obviously but if you retouch the thing to turn it off then you're not sterile anymore
