Nice little video of a nice little kit of a nice little tank. I know you don't use the commander figures but the one on the sprue looks great. Happy scimitaring.
Hi Herbert. I have built a few of these. The box is wrong. The commander figures for Scorpion/Scimitar are on each sprue rather than a separate sprue. BF have never corrected the box art, but no biggie. As for the turret, I had to trim the tiny guide pins in the forward left upper turret bit on all of mine to get the turret parts to sit flush. It’s just a minor engineering tolerance issue with the mould. As you found, easily corrected. As for the vehicle you showed at the tank ride, that’s actually a Sabre. It is the Scorpion chassis but fitted with the turret from the Fox armoured car instead of the Scimitar turret. There were only a few converted to this configuration. Apparently the Fox turret was slightly lower, cheaper to produce and I think I recall something about better optics or stabilisation, but I’m just going from memory on that last one. Don’t quote me on that one! You could use the BF turret from the new plastic Fox AC kit to make this happen. I reviewed the kit for Fog of War. But I’m guessing you aren’t up for buying a whole BF box set just to get 4 turrets. :-)
