Never understood why Grace's dad was going after the Chanels for Grace having been traumatised when Hester's the one who killed people - at least Dr. Cassidy and the nurse have alright motives.
he always hated them for being in the sorority and he had the same motivations as hester (mutual dislike) also hester is his daughter
@@heavenswitch My problem's that he justified himself as "avenging" Grace when that was not the Chanels, it was the killings
I think he was angry that none of them visited her and blamed the sorority as a whole for the murders

Yes! Don’t follow the same characters, use the same actors in new roles and new location. They should have done literally anything else because the hospital was an awful decision. Coulda been good if it was similar to Ratched on Netflix… but ughhh it was non stop no laughs and full cringe
S2 was so BORING!
I will say I rooted hard for Chanel No 5 and was super proud for her when she passed her test without cheating like 1 and 3. 3 on the other hand I think regressed to being boring which just made me super sad.
One major reason for Season 2's low quality is that many of the references were stuck to 2016, the year it was released, which makes it seem rather dated to anyone watching years later. Plus, they reduced the roles of fan favourite character like Denise and Chad.
Even tho season 2 is a step down to season 1 I still really enjoyed the season with its hospital setting, Chanel #5 being a lot more likable and showing her strengths, Chanel #3 and Dr. Cassidy’s relationship, Zayday being the main lead, the gore, and episode 9 is my favorite Ep in the series. I’m still hoping we’re getting a season 3

The reason that Grace wasn't in season 2 was because Skyler Samuels who played Grace decided to finish getting her degree at Stanford. I read that she had taken a year off to film season 1 but went back instead of doing season 2

@@justabruinit’s possible but it’s not so far fetched that she didn’t want return to finished her degrees. Either way she made a good decision not returning since it’s wasn’t a good season.
Though season 2 wasn’t great - much of the plot was based on tropes from horror sequels - it just wasn’t executed in a good way. Bringing back characters that are basically useless, reusing plot points from the original, having a “darker” atmosphere, etc. are all very common in the genre, but this was just written terribly (which one could argue is also a sequel trope lol) Even down to the setting being a hospital, which is surprisingly common in horror sequels/threequels like Halloween 2, Nightmare on Elmstreet 3, Hellraiser 2 etc. There is a lot of material there to satirize which I think really added to my disappointment in this season.
This was such a disappointment to watch in real time having loved season 1. The only joke I remember laughing at in season 2 was Hester standing over Chanel's bed menacingly because when she's bored she thinks about murder.
I’ll NEVER understand WHY they changed EVERYTHING! They cut everything that was built in that cliffhanger from the season 1 finale. The Chanels were locked in that asylum, Hester were the victim and Ms. Munsch couldn’t do anything because Hester knewt to much. GRACE WAS MISSING!!! From the campus with all of these opened plotlines right into a HOSPITAL???? Like, OUT OF NOWHERE!!!!??????
All of that plot was completely deleted for that horrible season 2. I’ll never forgive Ryan Murphy for what he did to that series. It could be a lot better that it ended up being...💔💔💔💔
the mistreatment of chanel #5 in season one was funny, but in season two it genuinely pissed me off especially when her boyfriend died i was fuming.
A completely boring mess from start to finish. But was I surprised? No. It's a Ryan Murphy show after all 🙄
Season two had a lot of potential but the writers decided to waste it.

I enjoyed her take a lot and she had great ideas for a solid continuation of the plot over her seasons. I think there were 4 seasons in total with 6 10Minute Episodes each 🤔

I totally hate season 2 it's pure hot garbage god it wasn't even funny to me I wasn't surprised the show got canceled the season was a big step down 😬😖🤢🤮😡🤬
All Ryan Murphy shows share this same issue of having a solid premise and tend to start out pretty strong but then end up not following through on what grabbed the viewer in the first place and just meanders around whatever bullshit they thought of the day when writing a given episode. All his shows tend to have a solid structure but you can’t make a house out of just a good structure and paper mache. You’re also gonna need wood, concrete, a roof, windows, doors, etc. He’d be a far stronger showrunner if he just knew to edit his ideas down and remove all the unnecessary crap that doesn’t compliment the main storyline, and also to know when to call it quits and not jump the shark. That’s why AHS is his best work, as each season is it’s own isolated story so when one season is done with, he can just move on to something else and won’t have to build upon a flimsy foundation that was never intended to be expanded on.
i enjoyed both seasons a lot but if we’re doing a critical appraisal, i definitely agree with the critics. i do hate the trashing on number 5 though, i think they could have done that without it being excessive
I think Original Sin (more so than being a combo of the original PLL and Riverdale). Is more like a combo of Scream Queens with 13 Reasons Why? And if that sounds like an odd combo well that's because it is
Yeah it even takes plot lines directly from scream Queens scoliosis the 20-year-old murder mystery, involving kids the death I a bathtub, and they're probably a few others I can't even think of right now.
I totally think something toxic happened between some of the girls and Skyler Samuels. I mean, this was a set with Emma Roberts and Lea Michele. 😂 She claims she left for school but she doesn't really follow anyone from the cast and doesn't talk about it. I think Grace would have made an amazing and shocking killer in Season 2.

Tbh how did they cancel this show with 1.44 million viewers while American horror story: Nyc had like 240k views in episode 4 and didnt cancel it..
AHC is not network, it’s cable. They could have at least moved this to cable or streaming, though
Season 2 wouldve been nice if it followed the "Chanels as News Anchors" theyve been saying since Season 1. Imagine the sets they wouldve pulled off since the location is based on different talkshows.
There was a big change up at the last minute. The intended theme of season 2 was supposed to have been a summer camp. In fact a number of articles and even Glenn Powell himself had talked about it. I don’t know what they were thinking switching the idea to a hospital.

It definitely isn’t as good as season 1 but personally in my opinion it doesn’t deserves to be horrendous they tried something new, it’s met to be experimental on their own take of horror comedy satire yk, my biggest issue was the new Chanel’s got 0 screen time
if Hester wasn't played by lea machell she wouldn't have been in the 2nd season. but because she's ryan Murphy's Golden child she's in everything he does

Did people forget the massive timeline error? Season 1 technically ends in spring 2016 after the Chanel’s trial and sent to the asylum… yet in Season 2 it’s stated that the events take place in autumn 2016… yet season 2 is supposedly taking place multiple years after season 1…? Lazy writing.
I know right! Maybe they were released from the asylum in summer of 2016. Then got their lives together in September and the show starts in October. Finale in 2017? Idk Ryan Murphy just gave up

Unfortunately Ryan Murphy shows tend to lose its luster between season 2 and 3 or become downright unwatchable depending upon how many other side projects he has going. His unhealthy obsession with Lea Michelle played into Hester's return.
Once I got to episode 7 season 2 of scream queens I was done with the show I was so un interested this show had so much potential if season 2 had way better writing it could’ve have more seasons

I thought season 2 was fun. I think there were more stupid bits but I liked taking the characters and putting them into this new random setting and the push into even more ridiculousness than the already ridiculous first season. I like that it didn't take itself too seriously

I did not watch scream queens at all. And there's an episode in season 2 where they make fun of the gentic disorder Neurofibromatosis and I have that and it was horrible the way they depict it. I will never watch it because they make fun of other things and I can't watch things like that.

Ya, season 2 is such a massive down grade in every way. Just horrible. As for Channel and how iffy the show could be theme wise, I remember all the jokes about Channel not being into sex and 'faking' it as hints she was queer(asexual maybe) and her being so queer phobic was her hating herself. If they had the character kind of accept themselves and then go on to call out past actions that could have been very interesting, but no, as you say, it's just iffy, but at least the first season was very funny and a very good slasher.
Season 2 was so boring, I wasn't able to get through the first episode without skipping some scenes

Season 2 definitely is less than Season 1, but I did enjoy it a considerable amount. Hopefully Season 3 is better than them both and brings Grace back.

I agree with your overall assessment, but don't agree regarding their eating disorder remarks. It's obvious those are used as a negative trait, and not in a way to promote them. The Chanels are image-obsessed and superficial, so it makes sense that body-shaming and ED are things they would be associated with. It's part of their character profile.

see i told u season 2 sucked! lol hahaha its not even worth watching lol. when it comes to the grace character, she didnt want to return to the show. she wanted to go to college. that didnt last long cuz she was still under contract with fox and was in their short lived xmen related series. i think the creators did know what they wanted to do. i feel that way cuz of his past shows. the main ones r popular (which all eps r uplaoded on youtube. omg check it out trust me u will love it. it was before its time) glee, this show and american horror story. glee and popular r similar. teens in highschool, drama but glee is more of a musical comedy. popular was more of a teen drama, with lil comedy. i think he tried to make scream queens similar to american horror story but differently. the whole anthology thing. new season, somewhat same stars or characters but different theme. it just didn't work out. as for lea coming back. well that show runner just loves her. which explains the whole glee racial drama
