I gasped when he swore, I feel like it was a very important point in Pyre's character development...Like, it's the first time we see him CHOOSE to go against his religion, despite no outward pressure at the time. He wasn't FORCED to say wtf, he wasn't pressured by anyone, he really did make the conscious choice to say what he said. We can hear his words carry off into the distance and echo back at him, as if to affirm him of what he just said. He looked uncomfortable for a moment, which is understandable, but he didn't apoligise to himself, or seem to regret it at all. I feel like THIS is the moment that truly solidifies to the audience that Pyre has chosen his own path, and it's my favourite part of the film!
I’m no biblical scholar, but I’m pretty sure Polygamy violates the 7th commandment of “Thou shall not commit adultery”, as well as the 10th commandment of “Thou shall not covet”. Apostle Paul speaks out against it in Roman 7 Deuteronomy 17:17- he shall not multiply wives for himself, or else his heart will turn away.

Quoth the Highlander. :D
Thank you fx. I really enjoyed this miniseries. It was so gripping and the actors and actresses fit the roles so well. Very well done.
I love this scene so much. So profound. I wasn’t expecting this series to do so much philosophical work
This scene was the BEST scene in the whole series. The scream of WTF, was so well placed and well done.
Andrews performance omg!! I can’t with him! So good! He deserves so much recognition! 🤍😭🤚🏻
He was nominated to get an Oscar, I think for this role.
@@thinagarrett I think so, or an Emmy too. So proud of him!
@@madelynstoltzfus Yes!
@@thinagarrett I’m also super excited for his new movie with Florence Pugh. Did you hear about that?
@@madelynstoltzfus Yess!! I found out about it on Oscar night, they’re both great at their job and I’m intrigued to see their on-screen chemistry.

This scene is full of fake Mormon cliches, preaching down Mormonism and preaching up some sort of miraculous atheism. How dumb can people be.
Seems like you didn’t watch the show at all then.
