Over the years I done all the wainwrights in the Lakes 150+ Munro's. IMHO The 5 best bridges walks in Scotland. 1: Full traverse of the Cuillin ridge. 2: Aonach Eagach. 3: Liathach. 4: An Teallach. 5: CMD. But my Fav mountain of all? you've guessed it "Stac Pollaidh" You can spend all day up there scrambling what ever grade you want to your hearts content. In spectacular surroundings. It is special
Thanks for the great wee video, some journey there and back, beautiful mountain made it worthwhile I bet, we climbed it last May for the first time, would love to do it again.
Another cracking video, Murray. And it's always nice to hear someone from another country compliment our fantastic scenery. Especially when their own country is also beautiful 🏴 🏴
Hi Murray, I've bagged 65 Munros to date and looking to bag 70 on my 70th. birthday this year. Although not a Munro you have just about made my mind up to do the Stac after watching this and your overnight camp video. Keep on inspiring me. Regards
A stunning little mountain which I still haven't topped more than 25 years after my first attempt. The first one ended on the moor at the back of the mountain in storm force winds where it was one step forward two steps back and I retreated while I could still get back off in one piece. The second ended a year after a major heart operation and work down south where I didn't see a hill from one month to the next. I was so unfit that on a perfect May day without a breath of wind I didn't even get to the top of the paved section. Happily all is mended now and as soon as the pandemic permits I shall be back over the border where I prefer to be. All this stop-start has given me a real appreciation of just how hard it is to make good mountain walking videos. Hope you all find a way of keeping the faith going during the new lockdown.
Thanks Tony - yeah its definitely one of my favorite mountains, such a cracking place to go. Hope you get back some day when the weather is better :) Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray

I spent a week in Scotland once and it rained heavily almost everyday, it put me off ever going back...but seeing this video makes me want to go again. Lovely video 😁😀😀
@@tooyoungtobeold8756 I went hiking in the english lake district once in the summer. Lumped all my camera gear up a fell in high heat. Never sweated so much in my life, so yeah I guess we can't win with the weather!!!
A fantastic little mountain which I climbed some 25 years ago, and managed to scramble up the the west summit. Although I recall that it was rather more difficult getting down. It's an iconic mountain with an iconic name. But I'm always disappointed when I go out cycling locally (Wirral) and I pass a house that they have named 'Stack Polly'. Grrrr. Someday I going to amend that !
Really enjoyed both Gary's and your vlogs. Nice to see the SP car park almost empty, it can get somewhat stowed out in the summer months. SP is a cracking little hill but I'd nominate Ben Stack as my favourite wee mountain. Nearby Meallan Liath Coire Mhic Dhugaill is another favourite for me, climbed it 5 or 6 times and only once saw another walker. Next door to Arkle which is absolutely stunning as landscape photogs might say. Thanks for one of the best RUclips channels. Awesome stuff.
The timing of this video made me smile, as tomorrow would have been exactly a year since I was last on it. I was up for a week's winter climbing and late February was like spring not winter. Still 5 mountain days in the West Highlands in February and only one hour of rain while out, isn't something to complain about, despite the lack of snow. Stac Pollaidh via the West Buttress climb was my last day of the trip. Back up again next week, so should have more of a wintry time. Always a lovely mountain. It really looks the part driving in, but from the car park you can't really see the shape. Then as you climb you get the view.
ahh - one hour of rain in 5 days in the north west , my idea of heaven, shame it not been like that recently :( maybe we will get a break in the weather soon - fingers crossed !! Thanks for watching ATB Murray

I can boast having climbed all the Munros, but the West top on Stac Pollaidh is rather tricky getting past the mauvais pas. What this hill/mountain or whatever you want to call it shows, is that the pleasure of a hill is not correlated to its height. This video captures that well. Stac Pollaidh is an excellent experience.
Evening Murray, just discovered your channel and I have to say you are re-energising my enthusiasm for the mountains. Your use of stills, video and drone results in perfect, IMO, video.
