One of the hardest information to find, so, what is the diameter of the threaded neck under ???? No, I don't want to know "standard" or "range" I want the exact measure... simply, my new sink has a 1-3/8 hole that everything I look is too loose because the neck is always 1" . Thanks.
Hey there! You should just be able to twist it counter clockwise. Maybe if it’s on really tight, you might need a wrench and/or you might need someone to hold the other side of it on top of the sink to keep that still. Hope that helps.
The lock nut is loose but the stupid soap bottle will not unscrew. From topside, I tried turning both ways while I try to hold topside in place with a wrench. Help!!
@daddoesvideos mine is definitely a screw on, came from Home Depot, put in place by a handyman 4 years ago. I tried re-screwing the lock nut in place to hopefully stop any other part from moving while I still used a wrench to hold top in place, then tried unscrewing bottle, but will not budge.
@@daddoesvideos thx appreciate it. I also have a leak in the bathroom sink. The faucet is loose and out of place so water leaks into the sink cabinets and if I try twisting it into place I wouldn’t be able to because of its placement. It would hit the wall.
The hard part for me was taking off the nut from the old dispenser, which you did not show. My fixture was different and could not easily be screwed off. I need a special tool. This was not helpful. Sorry.
Yeh, that was hard for me to show around 4:15 in the video because I needed both hands to do that, and there wasn’t some to set up the camera. The nut should just twist off counter clockwise. Yeh, each dispenser is a bit different. Stinks you need a separate tool.
Thank you, this was EXACTLY what I needed.
Great to hear! Glad it helped. And thank you for watching!
Is it possible to use the soap dispenser whole for installing a water filter instead. Don't really need a soap dispenser.
Don’t see why not if the hole fits for you want to do.
Thanks! Helped a lot and I even had the same Home Depot special replacement lol
Hahah. Glad it helped!

Diameter of this product where the hole is in the counter is 1 and 1/8 inch. Hope that helps!
My soap dispenser won’t come off in the first step you did. How did you get yours off?

That’s weird. Sometimes, you have to pull instead of twisting. Maybe give that a shot?

My nut is frozen, and I'm also having trouble removing it.
I was able to unscrew the nut however the bottle is attached to the bolt- any suggestions.?
Hmm. I’m unsure of what you mean. Your old dispenser isn’t able to be removed?
My soap dispenser is leak now how do I tighten it
Which part is leaking?
@@daddoesvideos I figured it out i had to go lefty loosely for some reason to tighten it
Ahh, yeh, that happens sometimes! Glad u figured it out!

@afnanj should be some kind of nut underneath the faucet that you can tighten. But might just need to call a plumber
My soap dispenser isn’t locked on
Did you tighten the nut underneath as much as you can?
