Hey i just made this little farm and i seems to be a problem when i get fish and it's throwing back again the trapdoor reactivating again as soon as the bait gets under the boat
Minecraft 1.20.2
If this farm does not work for you, switch out the chains for a lightning rod. Perform all the steps the exact same.
Tip: Boat placement can be sloppy, you just need the bobber to stop moving in-between the boat and soulsand.

this works for me for like 10 minutes but then suddenly the rod will just stop casting and i’ll have to reset it even tho i’m still right clicking, do you have any ideas how to fix?

Another way instead of doing that is switching your binds and putting something on top of the key
im not sure what to do about the fish part,when the fishing rod gets on the hitbox of the boat it pulls the boat back.do you have any ideas
does this not work as of 1.20.2? i tested out the entire build, arranged the boats over and over... at this point my durability goes down, but i aint catching anything.
my bobber wont go up to the boat unless i aim up to the soul sand and then if i go a bit longer up it takes the boat out of allignement.
the bobber also wont stand still, it will rather throw it out again.
any tips?
It definitely still works (atleast in java singleplayer worlds, as thats where I built it) but it's definitely way less efficient than he showed, as my trapdoor keeps flickering 3-5times extra, making it slow
When it works it works well but after a few times it stops throwing the rod so every few minutes i have to move a little to throw it again, making it unable to afk. Also it happened twice now that somehow the boat got pulled by the fishing rod. Good design but still had some flaws…

Idk why but when i catch fish, it pulls the boat on the chain forward even tho nothing touches it...
uncrouching and then holding right click just makes me interact with the chest.
OH IT'S BECAUSE I'M USING GLASS. Need to make sure you have a solid block on the other side of the bottom double chest.
for mine when i fish my trap door flicks two times then once i get something the trap door just spams how do i fix this?

I am running into a problem when after a few catches, the rod fails to cast and I end up just spamming right click on the chest without a bobber in the water and I stop caching anything. Is there a way around this?

[Playing on 1.20.1] I've pretty much replicated this perfectly, and there seems to be a couple things I have issues with.
- 5:30 Getting the boats in the proper place is a little difficult already, but with the chain/pressure plate seems even harder without some glitchy movement happening., but I got the hang of it.
-When in the proper place and trying it out, it doesn't seem to want to catch when the line gets a bite, I just keep trying to open the chest when I hear the splash that indicates a bite. So it doesnt catch anything at all.
I'm hoping that it wasn't patched out in 1.20.1, but if it is, at least I have some spare Redstone supplies and an excuse to make a nice lush pond somewhere in the valley I'm living in :)

If anyone else is having this issue, double check your boat placements! I was trying to get this built and I skimmed over breaking these blocks at 5:05 to get the boat actually ON the chain.
Hey there, luckily for you I built this in 1.20.1 and it works perfectly still, so something must be going wrong on your side.
Are you playing on a server?
Are you making sure to uncrouch on your second catch?
Are the boats in the correct position?

Its not exactly a starter farm, but then again for the loot you are getting, that seems fair
The boats keeps moving off if i let it sit for a few minutes and it broke my mending fishing pole cus nothing came from it
it seems to have been patched some how ;-; single player with the ticks in the video and multiplayer with all ticked to 4. I just don't get any items, everything works as it should, but no items ;-;

My trapdoor flicks 2 times, is there a way to fix that?
For everyone complaining, im on brand new 1.20.4 multiplayer server. With anti-cheats and boots auto clickers. The boat placement is a b*tch.. but it does work. The f3+t auto click works well. I found the placement of your player/crosshair seems to be very very sensitive and needs right spit for it to work.

Try putting all repeaters onto the 4th tick to try compensate for server lag.

When i use my phishing rod it just spamming noise detection from skulk detector and the trapdoor just spam open/close without fish...
Edit : It's ok now, it was fail about my placement/position

the bobber just catches onto the boat and when you reel it on you reel in the boat - java 1.20.1

You really do need it, as the sfx from the bobber triggers the whole of the redstone

Same thing happend to me. @@Cweepr Full inventory, and items go toward the hopper, but floats up in the water.
Oh well my boats are in the right position (I guess ... F3+T claims to function, but there are no boxes on my screen), I'm using java, my bobber ends up under the one boat, but when I stand up and hold right click I just throw out the bobber repeatedly like a mad person. No fish for me. If my boats are not in the right position I simply cannot place them right. I've placed them over and over again using your directions.
No it sounds right. Just observe the exact position I throw my first and second rod. Also check if I'm crouched or not for both throws
@@ReytGood I found out I needed to change to a noteblock instead of a sign, but still got only fish and no treasures. A shame.
@@MereteBBruun what version are you playing on? This is very strange, this was recorded on java 1.20.1, and works perfectly! Or you on a server or single player??
@@ReytGood I am on 1.20.1, and today I got a magic fishing pole. So I believe I can get other magical stuff too (yay!) Now a new problem showed up instead. It only autofished (with F3+T) for about 3 throws, and then it fails to get caught under the boat, and I have to stay at my screen and adjust. I am thinking perhaps lag from playing on a server with many farms perhaps can make this, or am I doing something else wrong?

Can you build it underground?
you can build it underground, but the actual water must be directly below the sky. So you can't place blocks above the farm

Yes, it certainly does. Obviously ping and lag comes into play, so some of the repeaters we set to the 2nd tick, might need pushing to the 4th tick., But yes it does.

had this built about a month ago on our paperMC server , I had to add a very long timer to reset the farm every 20-30 seconds cause occasionally it would bug out and break but after that ran like a charm , and still using it to this day when I go to sleep and want some free enchanted books/saddles

i cant place the boats. don't try this at 1.20.4
boats are not placeblae like in the video. on top of after i did find a way with slaps to set up the boats, it dose not work no fish is gona bite anyway. 2min nothing not even a little bit. lure 3 and luck of the sea 3....

Whenever a fish grabs my bobber, it does not trigger the skulk, is there any reason anyone knows as to why?
You definitely placed no wool above the sculk?

Im having the same issue and i definitely did not put wool above the skulk, triggers on the initial cast and then the fish bobbing noise doesnt trigger anything@@ReytGood

@@reidargeraci969 I haven't tested it, but it's designed for java mainly due to the fact that you use F3 to reload resource packs and show hitboxes etc

@@ReytGood i followed all the step, it works fine but the moment the bait got stuck under the boat it activate the sensor. I double checked the furnace and redstone repeaters

Hey, I haven't actually tested it myself, but with the F3+B & F3+T java features, it might make it more difficult, but to be fair, apart from that it should work
