That could be a reason. Or their drug stash. But ironically the people in the story only got suspicious when the people chasing them were running after them. They probably could’ve just said “hi” and make small talk and no one would’ve been the wiser

I stopped listening because I'm not a fan of the compilations of short stories for every video and I don't ever bother with them, but rather prefer longer single story vids, like you used to post. i love the content but all this commercials ..... makes it hard to get into the stories
Interesting ad from Cerebral. All the testimonials crawling over the screen are about how easy it is to get their drugs and it's called "care". Treatment of your symptoms with drugs = "care". All drugs, all the time, yup, we got a drug for that, you need more drugs and just drugs (or once in a while, surgery). I was just a teenager when it struck that something stunk really bad with this whole notion of medical "care" which seemed to consist of "prescriptions" for "medication". Medication, is it? Hmm, I thought, doctors go to school for 8 years to beocme legal drug salesmen but no training necessary for illegal drug sales? What about addressing the root causes of issues and taking steps to reverse medical problems? Why not spend 8 years training to be a doctor that has a single clue about actual "healing"? Everyone everywhere (damn near) actually believes they need drugs to survive. As long as they're legal drugs, that is, as long as they're "prescribed" drugs. Legal drugs are the ones you get prescribed when you call your doc and say, "hey, I got this pain or this symptom". Yeah these are the ones you need to survive. God was just not on his game when he created humans because the only way they can survive is by taking "meds". Guess what? You're all a bunch of mugs.
In the last story the guy said he is now afraid to hike. Carry a gun while you hike and you can walk around without fear! If you live in the USA and even some other great countries its so easy to not allow yourself to be a victim.
