Plus taking the apples off also keeps the boughs from breaking because they're so heavy

    Good morning from Los Angeles.
I’m a new viewer to your channel. I saw you redo your studio and that was a big job, congratulations on that.
was looking at the size of your apple trees. I really think it would be better if you got somebody in to prune them because they’re really out of control. That would help with not having quite so many apples too. I’m not sure what time of the year pruning should be done. Please get the advice of a professional, somebody who actually does that.
I would think January, but I could be way off. It would be good to find out about the months and leaves and what’s going on with the trees too.
As far as not having as many apples grow on the tree it would be better if you removed blossoms before they even started to turn into apples. They do that a lot in Japan where they end up having very few apples per branch (not just stem, but branch.)
I don’t know what variety of apples you have. Limiting the production might get them to grow a bit bigger, but I’m not sure by a whole lot.
It would be a very good idea though to not waste the energy of the tree to grow apples that aren’t going to be used.
I hope your potatoes were tasty. I’ve never had potatoes that fresh myself.
    Take care.
    Make lots of art!
    Peace,
    Kevin

Thank you so much! You are totally right about the apple trees 😅 we have been meaning to prune them for ages now! I will have a go this winter, I also really want to try and graft some new ones, to save the old varieties we have.. Thanks for your kindness 😊

Thank you so much! Yes I’m partly trying to avoid that challenge 😆 but I really don’t mind, I’ve had these for a while and just would love someone to have something they would appreciate, please don’t be afraid to offer whatever you can if you choose ✨ and thanks for your kind words!
