Adeeb’s father, my uncle Ahmed Ali Assaf was the main driver of the London Muslim Mosque. He was truly a pillar of the community and the city of London.
I remember Abeeb (David) from the Oxford Street mosque. A very nice man. I recall Adeeb was mosque president and Najeeb Juma was the part time Imam. Back in the late 70s .Juma Prayer attracted a dozen worshippers.
I must say that Abeeb became more handsome as he got older. Is the family name Assaf or Hassan? The whole family has “Assaf Hassan” after their first names. Adeed’s mother went through a lot of sadness in her life. She lost Ali, Onwar, Norma and Jameel during her lifetime. May Allah reward her patience.
