    Perfection! The velocity curve you created is amazing. The old Rhodes had very stiff actions. They didn't max out unless you spanked them. And the ambient noise and audibles are incredible.
    Wow!

    Just got my PX5s, had a couple of different Rhodes models, they were so heavy to move to a gig, (and I’ve gotten too old to haul them), and the PX5s is wonderful. Love your sound edit. Thanks for sharing this!

    THANK YOU for this!!!! I love my PX5s, but the EPs are basically unusable right out of the box. You've changed the game with these sounds, my friend!

    Carenso...wow...great to hear you buddy. OMGoodness love this keyboard when Steve Weingary demo'd this. You have a smooth touch bro, lobe what you customized.
    And bro, I enjoy your vocals back on an ep you cut years back.

    Hi,
    This is the rhods I was looking for. THANKS A LOT.
    I did a little editing a distortion on S1 and a pad on S2
    How can I change the volume of the key off (the mechanical sound)? It's a little to loud for me.

    What is cool to know is 1) the factory sounds are not the "end of the road", nor the best of the best with what can be done with its artchitecture / technology. 2) It does not always have to be add-on sounds from some third party's programmer, and that the owner/player themselves can come up with decent variables (the latter statement not meant as a subtraction from your ability and expertise Carenso, as I suspect you are much more inclined to that mastery than many of us are). Personally, I had numerous Kawai's and etc. in the past, (some time ago), and there programming for further tweaking was anything but intuitive, and/or, maybe it's just me, but should I get that keyboard, I will definitely look to Casio, or to your site for download of. Thank you, also, ... I am curious as to which keyboard is directly above the Casio. It looks interesting, and definitely like from more of a different angle, or possibly more analog-like / digital hybrid.

    Do you know if these patches can work on the Casio WX-P1? Since it also uses Hex layers?

    what is the keyboard action like? I tried the Roland FA08 and I didn't like the heavy dead feel of the keys. On the flip side I have heard the Casio is too bouncy which I interpreted that to mean It might be a little lighter which I think I would prefer and like better. Will the action lighten up over time with a lot of playing or loosen up a little? I like that feel. I can't play one in town cause nobody stocks it in shop.....would love to hear your thoughts

      @arielkuz 5 лет назад +1

      My friend got one, and the keys are definitely on the lighter side. As reference, in my opinion Roland's keys are almost mushy (heavy and dead as you said), and compared to the Roland, I think Casio's keys are lighter. You can compare it to the action of an upright piano (Yamaha U1 maybe). A tad too light IMHO. But it felt nice and agile, you could play fast/repetitive tones, glissando etc without problem.

    Hi. sounds good. I have never had the privileged of playing a real fender Rhodes. I have a CASIO PX 560 (Which i believe is basically the same sounds as the PX 5S) and i have been fiddling about trying to get the nearest replication to a real Rhodes that i can.
    So, is the sound that you have produced a true reproduction of a "clean" un Phased Rhodes? if so ill use your sound as a basis to make mine. Thanks,

      It would be a long video to show how he developed this particular sound. I'm sure it wasn't done in a few minutes.
      There are videos out there already on creating and editing Hex Layers on this particular keyboard as well as other hex layer equipped keyboards from Casio.
      If you want to learn the process on how to do it, watch those videos on creating and editing hex layers. If you want the sound, download it. If you want see what settings he used, download it and edit it to see for yourself.
