One of the best from the game. I like how the high pitch notes go up and down a lot, it fits the Yo-Yo theme.

After playing this game, I can say it. Yo-Yo Man is by far my favorite Robot Master from Mega Man Unlimited. I really like his design. Very fitting and I can understand why Wily would want his enemies to be caught off-guard. The song that plays in his stage is by far my favorite song in the game. I love that the notes go high and low, fitting for a yo-yo. His stage is fun but can be a bit tricky. Such as the precise jumps over the spikes, or the final stretch with those platforms. Still a fun stage to go through either way. As for the fight, I've noticed Yo-Yo Man himself in terms of difficulty gets mixed reviews on that. Some people consider him pretty easy, where as others consider him pretty difficult to fight. With his weakness, cakewalk. Without it, for me he's the 2nd Hardest Robot Master in the game. It's when he jumps backwards and throws 2 Yo-Yo Cutters at me where he's a problem. When he sands still and fires two Yo-Yo Cutters at me, it's not that bad but sometimes it catches me off-guard. When he sticks to the ceiling firing two Yo-Yo Cutters, that's by far his easiest of his 3 attacks to dodge. Though his Yo-Yo Cutters kind of work like Plug Man's Plug Ball when he does that to where when you're under them, they fall straight down. Fun battle but a difficult one for me. As for his weapon, I love the Yo-Yo Cutter so much. It's such a good weapon. Overall, this is why I love Yo-Yo Man. An awesome concept of a weapon managed to be one of my favorite Robot Masters in any Mega Man fan-game.

Totally agree, Yo-Yo Man is my favorite from MMU as well. His pattern is a lot more dynamic than many of the other fights, and can be very punishing, or it can go easy. You really never know what kind of fight you'll get with him. That jumping back technique though.. that is the hardest attack of his to dodge, which throws you off - every other boss I can think of with a difficult-to-dodge attack moves TOWARD you, not away from you - because it makes the angle the Yo-Yos come at you very awkward to dodge.

This game has such good designs and music. Even the weird designs at least make sense in terms of the purpose of the robot master.
And it is not like the official games don't have their fair share of weird designs.

Honestly really creative stage. I loved the gimmicks and enemies in this stage, even if those skateboard robots were really annoying. Yo-Yo Man was also awesome to fight.

IMO, I feel like only Ground, Cold, and Pirate were the best ones. Burner's easily the worst, Tengu is way faster, Astro is more of a spasm now, and I agree with you on the rest. I like the music as well, tbh. If you wanna use the shop to make the game easier... just do it, I guess 😅

I remember when the trailer for Unlimited first came out back in 2012, with this music playing. I knew I was in for a well-polished fan game.
Easily the best theme in Unlimited. Maybe in Classic Mega Man in general? It's just such a fantastic melody, you really can't go wrong with this. And its the theme song for yo-yos! That just ices the cake!

AustinOnSugar Honestly, I prefer a few others from this game to this, namely Wings Cut Through the Night, Starfield Disarray, Climb the Walls, An Unbreakable Will, Coundown to Void, Uncertain Future, A Glimmer of Hope, The Dream is Unlimited, and Enigma of Aqua, Wings Cut Through the Night and An Unbreakable Will in particular.

Pretty underrated theme! IMO the stage and music don't fit Yo-Yo Man much, but I guess it has to do with him being made unknowingly dangerous! In any case, excellent music and one of the better ones in the game's OST!

Why do I feel Yo-Yo Man was built for a far more nefarious than his appearance lets on?
Apparently Dr. Wily was trying to create a blade that could cut through almost anything, for use in wars and stuff. To make enemies less alarmed by the one who used the weapon, he designed the blade around Yo-Yos, hence why Yo-Yo man is based off of Yo-Yos.
Yeah...but who was Wily trying to catch off guard? ...I have a theory.

That's correct, the synth plugin or whatever was not entirely accurate, so the static noise starts out the same for every drum hit (which happens on the Gameboy, but not on the NES)

Don't get me wrong, trinitro man is badass as well, but yo-yo man is more of a weird robot to me. I can see why trinitro could be considered weird as he's a walking warhead, but that's just how I saw it.
