- Originally they were suppose to become Sychro monsters but I felt that fusion monsters were more inline of the idea of meld.

Just started watching this and I'm already salivating at the idea of Graff Rats in a HERO deck XD
probably a bit of nitpicking but a monster being able to preform a fusion summon through its own effect wouldnt be a contact fuse at all, its just a normal fusion procedure just like if you were using polymerization because despite the word 'fusion' in "contact fusion/fuse" its not a fusion summoning nor can it even pass as 1 either to the point that even if you're prevented from fusion summoning you can still contact fuse hence why all contact fusion never refer to the fusion monster being fusion summoned but simply being special summoned
rather contact fusion is simply a colloquial term (no thx to the yugioh gx anime for coining it) for fusion monsters using their own built in summoning procedure similar to the other extra deck summoning mechanics work where the procedure is built into the game as a manual action the player may preform at any time during their main phase if the appropriate materials is available rather then something that needs to be initiated from an effect of another card so if chittering host or mishra actually is contact fused then their effect cannot even be applied since contact fusing isnt a fusion summon
I'd be interested to see the opposite of this process. Have Yugioh cards become magic cards.

Very cool video concept, only card i see a problem with is Brisela since you wrote down Link 3 or lower summons get negated and destroyed as well…. Just because there is the number 3 in there doesn’t mean it’s the same as the magic effect😅.
A link 3 monster would in fact be closer to a level 5-8 monster, the number in link monsters only means how many monster you need to sacrifice to summon it.
So what your really looking for is link 1 monsters which already would be kinda op since link 1 are usually very important for strategies in yugioh
for link 3 it was more along the lines of how sprites listed rank and link 2's for it's effects and restrictions.

Mishra lost to phyrexia would be a bonkers card & i cannot imagine it not being banned almost immediately with that "force your opponent to discard 2 cards" effect.
because in yugioh its a high chance that you might've accidently helped your opponent since sending cards to grave by card effect or not tends to be a common trigger requirement for some effects and even if not the grave is a favorable location to have some cards as they may only work while in the grave or serves as a setup for bigger plays so forcing the opponent to discard 2 might just be a game breaking for the opponent instead
A fusion that requires 2 specific named cards is pretty much doomed to unplayable. Last Warrior from Another Planet dosen't even real get away with it and it has a broken effect.
I think the better approch would be the main deck monsters have lingering effects that say "named fusion" made with this card gains these effects(With the effects split evenly between them). Then have the fusions require either of the named cards and +2 monsters, so you could use both named if you had them but could use only one if that all you had. BRISELA
(EDIT) Further thinking, what I said above should be for Brisela but Mishraks should be a bit diffrent. It should also do either named monster plus +2 others. The fusion than has all the effects on it and says you can only use one effect and each effect can only be used once each turn. Then have it say "if this fusion summoned card was summoned with (named cards)" it can activate an effect 2 additional times each turn. That lets if have the broken effects as its then balanced around the possibility of Reborn effects and Cards that cheat out extra deck monsters

@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 Yes it was literally the first lesson the learned with fusions. Why do you think after that all fusions started using generic or 1 named card only?
Elementsl Hero's only got away with it it as the extra deck didn't have a limit at the time and they had a card combination for all most any 2 specific named cards.
@@the24thcolossusjustchillin39 Your approching card design wrong. A 20 year old card is not outdated junk that you can't learn anything from. With ever generation of card the Card Designers learned something that currently effects the current generation. The first evolution of the fusion card was to stop requiring 2 specific named cards. Later on they relized Polying 2 monsters out of you hand was a inharent -2 as it took 3 cards to make 1. Thats why we got cards like Overload Fusion then eventually Shadoll Fusion. There are good reasopns to understand what make a 20 year old carrd good or bad.

Maybe I’m tripping. But you can only attack an opponents monster once because they will be destroyed. This is unless you mean it can attack twice in general only if it’s targeting monsters. Idk how the wording in yugioh is anymore it’s been a while.
The way it's worded is that if your opponent has 2 monsters it can attack both but if your opponent has one it can only attack once.

it only uses monsters on your side of the field as it doesn't specify either side of the field.
@@Eliot_Draws Other than cards that do not have any text mentioning material on the field, I can't find a single card that allows using material from the field that doesn't:
Specify "your"
Specify "your opponent's"
or
Specify "either" (or "either side").

@@ModulationAllegro no it usually comes from the cards owner after their Egyptian god card gets destroyed by common removal.
