  • In which my anxiety gets the better of me... but I'm fighting back.
I also cook a curry, step outside and do a bit of a ranty reading vlog in between drinking wine and watching girly shit on the telly!

Hi Jade. Encouraging note for you. My hubby had OHS about 4 years ago and had a metal valve put in anyway he developed something called "pump" head from the OHS it is fairly common although no one ever said anything about it to us before surgery . My point is he is on the same meds and they WORK for him at least. Hang with it. I will say he has had to adjust dosage a few times (up) but it made a huge difference in just a few weeks. From what I understand it is the best thing out there that is working without a lot of side effects and less addictive. 💚

My inner physiology nerd needs to be let loose...
breathing helps, because deep breaths slow your heart rate which in turn slowly decreases your adrenaline levels.
Think about it like this: you feel more stressed because your stress hormones (adrenaline, cortisol, etc.) are increased which slows in a higher heart rate and shallow breathing.
    Cooking is fun :D
