  • Inspired by 'The Textile Manufactures of India', an 18 volume set of fabric sample books assembled in 1866 by John Forbes Watson, Art in Manufacturing Season Four Artist, Raisa Kabir worked with John Spencer Textiles and Queen Street Mill to create her own personal woven pattern designs that relate to collective imaginings of place and belonging in East Lancashire.
    A co-commission between the National Festival of Making and British Textile Biennial, the outcomes of this residency will be shown at Queen Street Mill as part of the British Textile Biennial in October 2021 and the 2022 National Festival of Making.
