I thought I was the only person that still said woo-hoo 😊
215 is part 2
This is the kind of thing we watch this show for! The insulation, electrical, plumbing, roofing, those are all 1 man jobs when that man knows what he's doing, but structural or foundation issues, that's a whole different ball game where you need a knowledgeable team.
Exactly to build a house you have to know how to structure it. I have learned a lot watching this show.
finally part 2!
Nice to see such decent attempts at doing things correctly and actually helping people in distress, while educating viewers!
Yes the end of this crazy adventure with a BAR as well 😊
What's really scary is that there are other houses in that street that no doubt have similar issues. I hope those owners can afford to fix them before disaster happens.
Great job guys and girls
LOVE that basement with the bar!!! I know exactly what I would do with that! I don't know if they raised the property value with all that they did... but knowing that house isn't going to fall apart on them or freeze them out is priceless!!!
Full bars were popular in homes built in the 1940s to 1960s. Renovations in the 90s got rid of those or made them into a smaller wet bar. It could raise the value to those that entertain a lot.
Great team of people. Love watching them & learning! Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
This is WONDERFUL!!! I learned so much. What a terrific job. Thank you Mike Holmes and Crew!
Squirrel must've been built like the hulk to bend that steel?
Yes part 2 Great work. And beautiful
great crew that works great together
That roof is complicated with several sections, and they used architectural shingles. Probably a 25 to 30k job. Then the cost for structural repairs and electrical was expensive. I hope some materials were donated. House looks great and the kids room will be comfortable and warm. The homeowners should keep that house for many years. They won't find another house this nice.
Just wonderful 😊
Finally made the part 2 and made it right.
About time! Thank you
I love the family doing this carrying on dying skills
The problem isn't with the home inspectors, it's with the Builder
2 things. I'd cut a half sheet replacement for the Roof. It's just easier. And spray foam the pipes in the attack plus the Spray foam🤔
I want that Bar 😢
You better call Holmes on this one....😂😂
I know these are old shows, but I watched an episode yesterday which was Damon's first time on the show.
RIP Craig Lowe
They should have knocked it down and built another house so much work, structure problem 1,2,3,4,5,6 and on and on. Plumbing electrical insulation vacuum out all old insulation rewire the entire house.
It’s not normal.
Spray foam and blown in insulation openings for air circulation and oh by the way a brand new roof.
Fix all the ductwork seal all ductwork fix air returns plus all the painting new electrical panel.
It was probably 170,000 worth of repairs plus the new bar ! Better than winning the lottery!
Why were they roofing the lower roof before stripping the upper roof? Then dumping all the upper roof onto the lower.
I'm thinking those shots were shown out of order. Otherwise, it makes no sense.
I *still* can’t believe that someone had come along at one time and cut the TRUSSES for dormer windows! That just kills me. And the structural damage the guys had to repair with a steel beam! I shouldn’t be surprised anymore but I still am.
At 32:56 I thought "OMG What happened to his fingers!?!?!?!?"
These people needed a cat. A cat would have been DELIGHTED to manage the mouse and Charlie situation. I know that these shows are from several years ago. But my gut is hollering " CAT! ".
I didn't, thanks I'll go back and watch
Would Mike ever consider building Tiny Houses for his clients??
Eu agora tô assistindo aqui de dia o programa dele eu perco tempo assistindo a amo o programa desse paz Eu só não falo inglês nem internacional mas eu é legendado da televisão
Question time - why is spray on insulation not used in the attic?
Because it acts as a sealant as well as insulation. You don't want to seal off the attic space because that is where the hot air vents from.
If this area is subject to building codes, then the floor-system for the master bedroom and the unsupported bulkhead on the main floor would never have passed framing inspection.
Corruption..... It's what's for dinner......................
👍👍👍👍👍👍
where is shawn, havent' seen him on here in several past videos
I wonder what happened to him also, as he was on a lot of the old episodes, my guess is he has his own crew now and probably his own company
Mike said he took 5 weeks off for honeymoon cause he got married and I have seen him on a few episodes lately

Tell your roofer to get good leaf blower. That's how this ex roofer cleans them out in short time and I stay cleaner
What legal recourse do these people have ? When will they change tbe rules for inspectors must be qualified and must have the proper equipment to do their job 😢

Seems like they always find the worst homes in Canada
America isnt much better i see a lot of poor quality around me, although most of the ones around me are redneck engineering of old houses. although there is a youtuber that does inspections that comes across my feeds now and again for new homes which have tons of small to big issues, channel name is cyfyhomeinspections
The audio is messed up :(
