Cyberpunk edgerunners was one of the biggest reasons for 2077's boost in sales. Considering how anime is much more accessible nowadays. People are flocking just to avenge David and Becca lol Then Phantom Liberty came in and sealed the deal. It's one of the best stories for a DLC that I played.
I hear this argument all the time. If the game doesn't sell well Game Pass makes it successful, if the game sells very well at full price they don't mention Game Pass. LMAO it's a constant double edge sword argument

Cyberpunk was a broken pile of trash and the game still isn’t even half of what the devs said it was supposed to be. Meanwhile Starfield is torn apart for not being somthing it never said that it was
@EggEnjoyer it's all due to streamers and the game awards, the game awards collectively make people think something is better cause they can't really tell for them selves unless someone is saying it to them, they didn't really change much in cyberpunk instead of the way the ui looks and how physics works alot of the quest and world feels empty to me, you can't really find anything unless your actually doing some sort of mission to guide you to it.

Stockholm Syndrome is when you start to build a personal relationship with your kidnapper. So, while I agree with your point, you used this term incorrectly.
@yaboipele34 the personal relationship is the one where even I started to listen to the complaints and started to appease those "truthful gamers" by thinking up ways Starfield could make itself better for them so that they would be satisfied. But then those "truthful gamers" complained again one or more times, and even I got angry at Starfield for not delievering instantly to those "truthful gamers". Then I realised I and many others in the gaming community were quite literally having our opinions & thoughts kidnapped. We were going through a stockholm syndrome, a gaming review stockholm syndrome. You'll come across people writing comments how "they" found so many flaws in the game. Then they turn around and tell me they never played the game. They only watched videos and reviews about it. Heck even when I stopped playing starfield after reading those reviews and videos, I almost forgot about the innitial early fake reviews on youtube. I literally was too scared to play starfield, fearing bugs or something that those reviewers had trashed about. Meanwhile before reading those reviews I was spending so many hours in starfield that I had almost forgotten my daily life. I was totally immersed even with the loading screens. I HAD EVEN EXPERIENCED A FEW BUGS AND A HAND FULL OF CRASHES! But only after those fake reviews did I start to question myself and fall into appeasement and then hate. It was not until I had to snap out of it after realising what sort of mental condition I was bearing the hallmarks of: brainwashing. Theres an article I read: "Can our minds be taken hostage?" dated october 2018 by a free museum & library based in London called: Welcome Collection; mentioning a bit about of the 20th century stockholm styled syndrome events of brainwashing. This starfield scenario would be a 21st century version.
Starfield was in the True Achievements Xbox Top 40 list for 62 of its first 65 weeks. This was better than every other single person RPG, including BG3, C2077, any Fallout game, etc. Also, Starfield is the 11th most modded game on Nexus with almost 10,000 mods. It’s the 17th most downloaded game with almost 66 million mod downloads. BTW those ranks are compared to almost 3300 games on Nexus. In 2024 Starfield added 2 million players on top of the 13 million from 2023. Starfield has been a big success, unless you are a RageTuber, Pony, or gaming “journalist.”
Forza Horizon 4 is on silver btw, a game you can't buy anymore. It's not even the last Forza Horizon game. That would be 5, and we are waiting for 6 to be announced at any moment.
