In SE spec
a 2013 640D must be a rare beast.
10 years old and nobody has tried to " M" it up👍
Very true!
SE- stands for "Special Equipment"
The reason a lot people think diesels are either boring sounding or rough, tractor-like things is they've only ever experienced 4-cylinder diesels...
Understandable if you're looking at diesel purely for its high MPG potential, as most people do.
But bigger diesel units with more cylinders (from the now retired 5-cylinder Volvo diesels, through straight 6's like this bimmer and TDV6 engines and so on) actually sound pretty good... Yes, they don't sound quite as good as the equivalent petrols of the same configuration - but if you look at them in terms of MPG relative to BHP/Torque, they still make for a good compromise.
Case in point... Mrs has a 1.2TSI Leon (4-cyl petrol) with 110 bhp or thereabouts, will manage high 50's on a decent motorway run and mid 40's for general A-road driving - my Volvo S80 is a much bigger and heavier car, with twice the displacement from the 2.4 D5 engine (5-cyl diesel), getting on for double the horsepower and more than double the torque, but it'll manage mid-low 60's on motorway runs and needs to be driven hard to not be getting high 40's on A-road runs... So I get far more performance and comfort for broadly similar fuel cost per mile (factoring in petrol Vs diesel cost).
SE equals Special equipment, that noise is piped into the car by the speakers to make it sound like that. its not the engine lol
Sounds good though! 😂
Always thought SE =Special Equipment?
the sound is added to via the speakers!!
Yeah boi. Next time a MINI Countryman.
I think painting the wheels a darker colour would improve the look and won't sacrifice the ride that swapping for a bigger size would do.
The brake judder will most likely be lower control arm bushings. A very common problem with BMWs of that era.
Same thing happened with my F10
Great video bro 😎 love the content, it the regular uploads
Appreciate it
can you show the outside of the car while moving lol would be nice to see it performing.
Sold these as a BMW salesman way back...SE is special equipment which most UK cars were.Great cars if you keep up with the maintenance, there are earone's and E38 E39 with 400,000 miles on going strong.Prefer the 630/640i unless you do big miles.
A fantastic car, if I didn't have 3 kids I'd have it off you in a heartbeat.
Very nice definitely, always liked a BMW had one quite a few years ago I'm only 10 grand short of buying it from you 😂😂, would prefer black nice car 😊
Looks to be ex BMW UK as the first owner, has a few options. In my BMW dealer days, SE was the best, you had Base, SE and Sport (pre M Sport era)
Your channel would be better if you actually had follow on videos of the cars you show. How quick they sold and for how much etc
WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE CARS? Channel Update

“SE” is Standard Edition?
simple for your brakes just buy some disks and pads and put them on
SE in my BMW was base spec! I’m presuming that it was originally a BMW fleet car (hire car)?
This is an F13
Special Edition is what it is.
Isn't the coupe the F13?
Correct, convertible is F12, Gran Coupe is F06
SE - Sports Executive???
No. Special Equipment
