Pretty much all of the other Nightmare Effects can be destroyed by their respective weapons. In Heatnix's stage, there can be those metal block from Shark Player's effect that can be used to help access the higher area they used Zero to get to. That said, you will need his weapon to erase the blocks.

Storm Eagle is damn near impossible without the dash boots, because if he chains the Storm Tornado with his wind attack, you're totally falling off the platform for a cheap instant kill.
bleeze hotwings. i like how blizzard wolffang only has wolf hostages in his stage. 21:55 and then there's me, who frequently checks out speedruns because the tech and exploits you see can genuinely make the games you like even more fun, mainly by allowing you to cut down on the less fun parts of the game, or exploit something that makes you more powerful, stuff like that. this game came out on november 29, dmc1 came out on august 23, definitely enough time for the localizers to insert a reference (or trading notes like what johnny suggested).
Watching Matt play reminds me how much of a knowledge check X6 is. It's a much easier game if you know what your doing but unforgiving/annoying if you go in blind. I never fight donuts without storm eagle. Also limited chips are one use per game over/stage. Overdrive gives zero a quad buster which I find fun to mess around with. The knowledge check for X7 is that the weapon values don't make any sense and that Volt tornado(bazooka for axl) shreds bosses and enemies if they stand in it.
Maybe the Dante name is from Dante's Inferno because you were in a fire level. Also looking back I barely use the bosses weapon weakness against the 8 mavericks I mostly used them fight back against the nightmare stage effects which is a pain.
4:30 If I've learned anything from Wha Happun? it's that things like that tend to be a result of the programmers being unable to work that kind of stuff in because they didn't have time to figure out how. Bad games are the result of bad development, not bad designers. Assuming that was the original idea, anyway.
That whole thing about Dante & DMC in relation to this game could've been solved by checking the months of both games lol, X6 came out 3 months AFTER DMC1. XD

At least that purple fire is really nice to look at
probably gonna be the only good thing I can really say about this game
Watching Matt play reminds me how much of a knowledge check X6 is. It's a much easier game if you know what your doing but unforgiving/annoying if you go in blind. I never fight donuts without storm eagle. Also limited chips are one use per game over/stage. Overdrive gives zero a quad buster which I find fun to mess around with.
The knowledge check for X7 is that the weapon values don't make any sense and that Volt tornado(bazooka for axl) shreds bosses and enemies if they stand in it.
2:51 Considering that it was written by Ian Flynn, it's cancelled
Reminder this game has a hard mode... You gotta be a goddamn masochist to play that lol
2:04 Actually I’m pretty sure the entire planet dies if you get a game over
So like yeah holy shit
It's this Big Donut x4 or the Nightmare Snake as it's called.
The one bright spot of this game is its soundtrack oh my god sex on the ears!!!
3:59 happy national donut day
Maybe the Dante name is from Dante's Inferno because you were in a fire level.
Also looking back I barely use the bosses weapon weakness against the 8 mavericks I mostly used them fight back against the nightmare stage effects which is a pain.
Just to clarify I don't mean using buster only on bosses I just use Commander Yammark weapon a lot. I may like X6 but fuck doing a buster only run.
4:30 If I've learned anything from Wha Happun? it's that things like that tend to be a result of the programmers being unable to work that kind of stuff in because they didn't have time to figure out how. Bad games are the result of bad development, not bad designers. Assuming that was the original idea, anyway.
SGBs title for part 4. Who's touching the thermostat? It was Elliot & Greg. Because they just want to ruin Johnny's life for amusement 😂😂😂😂😂.
3:22 Why not equip the Limited Parts there?
Franklin Delano Donut would not show to help X with that mini boss.
That whole thing about Dante & DMC in relation to this game could've been solved by checking the months of both games lol, X6 came out 3 months AFTER DMC1. XD
By the way the "donuts" from blaze heatnix are actually ouroboros but the preredered graphics makes it really hard to notice
You can destroy the bugs with Yammar option lol
When it comes to Blaze Heatnix Stage, I have never had trouble with the first, second, third, and fifth donut battles, but the fourth one, on the other, is so cheap you have autoscrolling, nightmare viruses that can blindside you, two green orbs right on Death's Door (Unless you have Zero's Rekoha), I have wasted so many hours on this section alone as Zero without Infinity Mijinion's Weapon, I absolutely hate it
Weird how the worst level has the best music
oh blaze heatnix now thats content 🔥🍿
I think you can kill the Yammar Nightmare Effect bugs with the Yammar Option?
if you want to know how strong is the Blade Armor, check it agains the donnuts, youll see a world of difference, tough do use the Blade Buster
I mean x4 mentions humans and day of sigma I think has humans in the background
Firstly: Fuck this game
Secondly: I do not understand how people can say this game is easier with Zero
Thirdly: Fuck this game
Fourthly: This game's soundtrack is amazing.
It amazes me that we’re four parts in, all of them fairly lengthy, and we’re still not even close to done with the “this mechanic/system sucks” discussions because like absolutely nothing in this game works right or is fun and it just keeps finding new and unique ways to continually fuck up
I summond Ultra fire chicken high fire king garunix
"MAGMA SCREEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!~"
Blaze heatnix combo
Grape soda lava.
5 piece prolapsed donuts
And the boss as the main course
Terrible meal
Blaze Heatnix would be the spicy chicken sandwich
I remember dyamno from a fan rpg game. Does anyone know what I am talking about?
Bleaze Hatenix!
Another part of Elliot's favorite game
Btw, what was Matt about to say about the name references before Eliot interrupted him? I almost wanna say Capcom characters, but idk.
Yeah...
There's Ryu and Chun(-li) for Street Fighter, Nina for Breath of Fire(which the Ryu can reference as well), Arthur for John's favorite torture, Ghosts and Goblins, Cody(Travers, not Rhodes) and Guy for Final Fight, Leon for Resident Evil, and others I can't think of right now because this game has fried my brain and I just woke up!
all I have to say is... DONANUT!!!!!!
And the Megaman comic ripped of The Megamix manga
hard same johnny i miss the archie megaman comics so much/preferred them over sonic's as i loved how much they added.(the "prolapsed donut" is actually supposed to be the ouroboros symbol which is a snake eating itself but looks really bad in the pre-rendered ps1 style also seriously screw that thing even in rookie hunter mode.)
super adventure rockman's tbh outside the stuff in zero/knowledge humanity's long gone by legends the darkest the megaman series got as alongside roll dying there's wily acting callous to helicopter pilots dying(that was one of the reasons inafune disowned the game as he would've put parachute's on them escaping.) from an emp the main villain ra moon(archie got really dark with him attacking wily enough to cause blood invading his mind/implied his ancestor was influenced into doing human sacrifices by it & wanting to create the emp strong enough to make peoples brains melt and people who survived killing each other using his technology.) causes, hard man getting dissolved in acid after already being defeated, shadowman getting destroyed so hard he doesn't get rebuilt referencing him being made by aliens(love the archie comics combined it all.) & if you fail the final boss not only does megaman get blasted ra moon zap's the robots including even dr. wily to death.(wouldn't be surprised if this alone was what made it get disowned as it's actually rather unsettling seeing that happen to dr. wily for as much as he gets caught in his wily machine explosions.)
with how wrecked to hell the world of x gets don't blame the humans for just wanting to go up to space for safety when it's safe enough for space travel again.(and the themes work for x8 compared to how just there for no reason they are in evangelion outside the angels.)
The donuts are actually snakes biting their own tails
That hallway also doesn't go infinitely it stops when it gets to the top
I get that you guys don't like the game but have you like...played it?
I'd keep complaining but let's be real this shit don't matter lol
Surprised nobody's commented on it yet, but they misspelled "overwrite" when saving
The game has "overwright".
Oh Jesus- *ARRRRRGH!*
*Pointing at Squidward*
WHO TOUCHED ME THERMOSTAAAAAAT?!?!?!
Blaze Heatnix level is so bad but the music is so good but the absolutely worst level is yet to come and boy i can't wait to see how that plays
1:47 Mega Man what?
I honestly can’t imagine anyone not picking Chill penguin first unless there is a cheat code that unlocks the dash right away
Edit: turns out there is a code for that 5382 8566 2656
"This Game Blows"- Scott the Woz... I think
