excuse me ,may i ask ,how far from base to the house ,and can i do all the processes in the US before we move ? because our family about to move next year ,sorry for so many question ,Thank you in Advance
Hello. These houses are all inside the base. It's a little far from main gate, using the base's bus or taxi or walk from gate. It takes about 20-30 minutes on walk. When we arrived, we went to the housing brief. I don’t think you can get on the housing waiting list before arrive. Please check for housing office :)
Omg, very nice and this is a nicer townhouse, you're so lucky. My family had lived on Jones St. back in 1991. I like the master bedroom and bathroom. We had lived on Negishi housing back in 1982 right after we got married, very old and dirty wood frame quadplex, probably it was built before 1950.
Wow so neat. It’s was home for a few years. We lived in Negishi also. Loved it. We were one of the last families to live there before they closed it in 2014.
It wasn’t too hard. Japan is a rabies free country so your dog will have to home quarantine. Make sure your dog has all there rabies updates and you’ll need the 10 day health certificate. It’s been over 3 years since we came here so things may have changed.
@@junejune6268 Ah nice gotcha. When you left your first duty station how soon did yall get notice that ya got a townhouse? Also, is there only 2 of yall for a 3br? Sorry for so many questions I'm just excited theres something other that the big towers on base.
@@FREERYU100 we arrived, went to the housing brief and then they told us what was available. We got lucky because there were about 3 townhouses available. We are a family of 4.

What rank were yall to get in one of those? Where I'm stationed the O's and Chiefs get the big houses with the big yards.
In Yokosuka it’s open to everyone. Very hard to get because there aren’t very many townhomes.

How hard is it to come across an available townhouse?
When we got here 5 townhouses were available. It was odd. Usually not that many. It just really depends.
