@Nandi40k Honestly, your current beginner guides were already enough to put me in a good spot. Not a beginner guide, but here are vids/topics I want to see more from you in the future: - updated incursion vid - a new dirty dozen - an update to the "Best abilities to upgrade" vid maybe next june? (Assuming there's significant changes) I'm currently stuck on bronze 1 rank on my campaign characters (for Indomitus, Indomitus-mirror, and saim-hann) so it's mostly daily shard farming, and waiting for orbs to come my way. I think no tutorial can help that lol. I also got maugan ra on a 10-pull and I got Nicodemus from the event. The character showcase for Nicodemus was awesome, and I was thinking maybe character showcase for legendaries would be nice for people like me who got lucky, but that might be too niche. Anws, all your vids have been helpful for beginners like me. Thanks so much for all the videos you've put out!
@@Nandi40k Oh and also. I got into tacticus because I've been trying to get into Warhammer 40k (might start with the kill team beginner's set bc I'm not loaded lol). Here are a couple of tacticus-adjacent vids I want to see too: - more 40k lore pls - Any chance you can play a game of 40k with Draupnir? (been watching his vids too and I like both of your vids on tacticus)
Awesome! This video is right on time Nandi! I was recently struggling with guild war, and this comprehensive analysis explains it perfectly. Thankyou as always Nandi for your content. For the greater good!
Genuinely useful. Vindicta will make a good substitute for my (essentially unbuilt) roswitha and I'll finally build shadowsun, other than that just running these teams outright might motivate me to actually get back playing GW for a bit.
I like Yarrick as a #5 with the Tyranids. He gives the 'nid summons a damage bonus with Summary Execution just like Guardsmen. Plus when a hormagaunt dies, he can prevent the others from running and finally: he can summon a bunch of Guardsmen in too.
Hey Nandi just wanted to say thank you for all the help/ advice you’ve given me ! I started playing in August 2024 right after the blood angels event ended and I was lucky enough to find you early on and now my guild mates are wondering what I characters or strategies I use and I always share the links to your videos and bc of this my guild is doing way better now than ever before and I’m so proud of them for that, thank you again ! We are learning still but I noticed they struggle with team compositions for Guild Wars Defensive teams since AI patterns are out of their control, is there any way we can get a defence video as well ? I know these things take time but would love to share one with my guild mates !
Great video i always try to keep tweaking my GW teams and now i need to do it again. Only choice that i thought was odd was not including Deathleaper in the Nid team as he is a perfect overwatch counter.
I'd just like to say that Yarrick fits great into a lot of comps. His passive not only buffs the Guardsmen, but anything with Battlefatigue, like Snotflogga's Grots, Boss' Boyz, Xybia's Hybrids, as well as WTP's Hormagaunts and PoM's Ripper Swarms. Similarly Synapse prevents Battlefatigue for any summon in range, not just Tyranids. Lastly Yarrick personally benefits from having an ally summon a bunch of disposable fodder early on, so his own active gets stronger. Imo Snot's Grots fit that bill best, because his active summons a bunch of them and disrupts the enemies for a turn, buying time for your other units to get something going.
Hi Nandi , great videos and content , i think you are very good for tacticus community and your work is appreciated. Any chance you have some knowledge of war shop heroes rotation ? or could you mention it next time you will be making video about Interview with Snowprint or something like that.... anyway hope you doing well and a bit late happy new year take care man.
I've been finding that the AI prioritizes kills, not attacking summons. Generally, summons are weaker so the AI will go for summons, but I've had the AI ignore summons to kill a very damaged character recently.
I find in maps with chokepoints a team built around Isabella, Tyrant Guard, a couple of good melee fighters and a long range hitter like Volk can be powerful. Park on the chokepoint, become almost immune to damage and just grind down the enemy as they come. I also like an overwatch-heavy team with Calandis, Sarquael, Thaddeus and Azrael parked on the high ground. Baraqiel can also be a nice addition for close range tanking, another burst of plasma and triggering extra shots from Sarq.
Great video as always. I've come to subscribe and look forward to your videos. TY for the content, Sir. Team (off / def) for the different game modes is a great help for us newer to the game and still getting a feel for the subtle interplay / combos. Some observations to follow. Mateno from high ground to hulk slam enemy on low ground and spawn some friends is extremely satisfying opener for Space Marine power fantasy. Aun' shi him to get even more friends and you feel like the developers really got some creativity flowing that let the player feel strong... Take Kharn, who feels like a real beat stick that swings maims and shoots plasma in the face of anything nearby - even your own team if you mess around... hat's off to dev team there. However, - contrast it with Black Legion Abaddon, our replacement for Horus, leader of the 13th black crusade.... who he and his relic terminator armor are touched by all 4 of the chaos gods.... equipped with an daemon artifact weapon and a fabled relic chaos talon of Horus' ... he doesn't do anything to reflect the chaos gods, he is probably the worst buffer in the game with weird restrictions, he is slow, and his active power is to kill himself. the BL Obliterator was a pretty big dissapointment as well. Something just feels really lost in translation. At least they have Archi, a daemon summoner who feels good to invest in, and though Agrax feels plain and lacking a bit, one can see its purpose and get mileage there too. 2/5 just seems off though. Khorne WE, Tau, and Nid's/Bugs could really use a campaign! Emps kids and Fulgrim... 2025! What could be more perfect? I'm stoked!!! Let's gooooo!
Mataneo Summons being revived by isabella is the hugest feels bad man moment ever. You rez and they leave at end of turn. I quit running mataneo with isabella because of this.
But mathaneo in fliers of faith does more harm than help. If isabella uses active, she can potentially resurrect interceptor, which will fly away if mathaneo is still alive. Unless you are planning to use if after he dies
Ahh yes. Perfect. Just let me farm a couple thousand shards to get all these characters and I’ll be set for guild wars 😂😂😂 Fr tho, good video. I’m sure I’ll get some use out of these eventually once my roster matures.
Interesting, but after one match you lose all characters because you can only use them once, so at the end only team power is really affecting the results
I imagine this is more useful for older players who have most of their characters up to the same level, and just need to consider what order to use them in.
Guild Wars isn't beginner-friendly as you need a minimum of 50 Bronze 1 or higher characters to have a full load out. So until you get there, it's really about putting your strongest characters together. It's often better to have a less-good match than having a character that's down a tier from the cap. As you're also likely to have fewer developed gear, remember to change it out as you attack to make the most of it.
@@ImValhallabound I guess by "beginner friendly" i mean " mid level friendly". The problem with Nandi's list imo is that almost every lineup has a legendary character that I would not assume a mid level player would have acess to
@@lofidante1778 ok, I get your point. Unfortunately, a player's start date really influences which characters are considered accessible based on their non-legendary releases events. To that extent it may be better to do a video on battle buddies / fire teams (2-3 characters) where the player would pick two teams to run as a squad. This would be both applicable for the mid range player and those who can field 5-8 good teams and want help with how to assemble the rest.
@@ImValhallabound That would make sense. When I meant "accessible", I basically meant campaign characters and guaranteed characters (like maladus, incisus, Vindicata, and arguably Azreal + Wrask (from milestone ) and Thutmose (being really easy to grind). This also because everyone recommends that you put your campaign characters up first, so mid level player is likely to have them be more leveled then anyone else.

Hey Nandi quick question with equipment on characters help any specific characters ?

@@Nandi40k so do some characters benefit from like the bolt pistol over the combat knife, or the plated greaves over the armor pauldrons.
