I love just laying here..listening and imagining what is going on to create the sounds- walking, doors slamming, chairs scraping! Thank you for these!
I would love to have seen the Foley artists at work!
@@otrarchive You can see radio shows in theatres or preforming arts centers. They have the foley artists right on the stage.
@@otrarchive I could not agree more..makes you think you are there...
Foley artist eh ? i wondered what they called it 👍🏼
@@otrarchive I had a foley catheter once. The nurse who installed it certainly was no "artist". :D
Yes, models trains is a good hobby
Yes, it is expensive
Yes, you can make good money
No, you will never break even
Boy - these fist fights are pretty wild. The first season fight in that diner had Joe and Romero busted up.
Kick ass and take names later.
there is a hoffman street near my work, always reminds me of this
This is one of my favorite ones. This and the tv one are great although I like this one better ..👍🏼 He was a tough nut to crack😎
Written by James Moser. Later adapted for television on March 19, 1953.
I like the sound effects during the knock-down, bang-up, drag-out fights. I imagine the sound-effect guy at his table of gear, banging and rattling all kinds of stuff to bring the scene to life.
I like the Sounds of them Running. The Hard Sole Shoes Clacking... Im just gonna be 36 and Could care Less about Tel-lie-vision... Love Otr
Good man 👍🏼
@@heyoldman2003 Hello, Hey Old Man
Thanks for posting these programs they are great 👍
I guess he isn't gonna pay back the money
Eddie Firestone (George Hoffman) makes a great bad guy! Always fun!
That tussle starting at about 25:30 well illustrates why being a police officer is predominantly a young man's job.
When the water started running I almost thought they were imitating the sound of something else. 😂
It was amazing that Ben didn't have his heart attack trying to break into the bungalow.
I just watched the tv one . They gassed him that first time they got em. It showed four cops standing around smoking ( of course) and drinking coffee . Getting Psyched up to go after Hoffman. No bullet proof vests..no nothing …they should have signed out a couple Thompsons .. spray down Hoffman’s hide out with a few 100 rounds .. that might get his attention 😎. Man what a dangerous job. I can’t imagine what they put up with today. God Bless Em 🙏🏼 that train shop guy was sure different on the tv show.. goof ball 🤪. I think he was one of the Spanky gang of kids ?
@HeyOldMan, I just watched the TV version as well. I wonder why they changed the bit with the Train Shop guy? They truly did change him into a joke. I enjoy these radio shows better than the TV version. The sound effects are loads of fun!. Only thing better on TV is seeing Joe Friday smile occasionally. 😀
After Barton Yarborough died, when Frank Smith came aboard, they never mention their rank during introductions.
Love Romero. Wants a a train set for his THREE year old. heehee
I know people like ol' George. Never learn.
Hofmann ought to make a good commando.
Maybe if these Cops didnt wear horse shoes they might be able to sneak up on a criminal. Instead they hear them coming a mile away 🤣😂
Hoffman didn’t kill himself.
🤣
Really makes you use your imagination
Room 27A - Robbery Detail.
Room 42 - Homicide?
Room 45 - Auto Theft?
What are you guys think
Jack Webb is A Savage!!!
Why Wanda?
Bet Joe needed a nice long Fatima after that fight
Eleven months? That’s all? 🤦♀️
