As the first beauty influencer I watched from your early days , back when you were in the apartment sitting infront of the closet , I absolutely trust you! You’re the only one I still follow in the beauty community .
An episode on hand cream would be great! Whatever the skin type on our face, whatever our concerns are, dry hands in the winter haunts almost everyone!
Yes to this!! Can you sneak in 1920s? It seems rarely does anyone get that one right. There seem to be many misconceptions about it. You could clear it up. 🥰
Cheekers and cheekbones. Wow. 1980s junior high and highschool staple. The genius of the highlighter and the gradient blushes in the cheekbones. How could Cover Girl “know”? Decades ago?Mad mad respect. ❤
Emily-try spraying your shirt stains with Dawn power wash or just Dawn dishwashing liquid and scrubbing it again and then was in washing machine as normal. It has worked so many times for me.
Yes! But be careful to not let the dawn sit too long or it will remove color. Learned that one the hard way 😂 The tide rescue spray has worked multiple times for me on set in and gone through the dryer grease stains. I’ll spray it on wash it like normal and hang it to dry and if the stain is still there I’ll do it again. It usually works completely the second round, sometimes the first. 💞
@@emilynoel83I was going to suggest spraying the spot with stain remover and using powdered borax or oxiclean. I make a paste and put it on the stain and let it just sit for a day or 2 then wash again. This has worked for me every time. It even removed set in chocolate martini stains off my white jeans.
Trust me it works, my mom is obsessed with dawn dish soap for removing stains, she got a stain out that was on a 45 yr old sweatshirt that was packed away with our childhood toys, she got it looking brand new, and its now used for doll clothes lol but it works on all stains and much healthier than spot remover.
100% on the CH cheekers blushes. I’ve used them for years and I think the brush in the compact works perfectly when you’re trying to do your makeup in the car and don’t have tons of time or room in your bag to throw in makeup. I just brush the bristles over all three colors and I get the perfect glowy blush, and there’s no risk of doing too much. It’s a 10!
I’m definitely here for a hand cream video! And I used CG Instant Cheekbones in high school and remember loving them!! I need to get one because of all your rave reviews and also, nostalgia. 😍🙌🏼
I also discovered Vanicream last year when I had a horrible reaction to one (or more) of my skincare products. Ended up going to a dermatologist and she recommended Vanicream along with quitting all my other products and reintroducing them back one by one. I have been so impressed with it (and even talked about it in one of my videos too). Glad to hear you mention it because it is super moisturizing, non-greasy, non-fragranced and great for sensitive skin.
You transported me in a Time Machine to early/mid 80s when I was in high school and used that cover girl blush like no other. I packed on the blush back then and that product was it. 😂 I definitely am not a makeup snob and why I love your channel. Thanks for sharing. ❤
I have used the Covergirl cheekers for 30 years or longer, I still love it. I will try the new Essence primer because I have been using the original one for 2 years.
OK! I’m so old I remember when Instant Cheekbones has a CONTOUR shade, and there used to be a how-to-use/placement diagram on the back of the package. This was probably circa ‘84-‘86. For reference: I am 53.
The Wet n Wild Photo Focus stick foundation is excellent for touch ups. I keep it at work and use an eyeshadow brush to apply. Super easy and affordable.
I LOVE Profusion brushes! I use their crease brush almost every single day. I also love the small pointed brush and the firm blending brush. Excellent quality ♥️
Happy Saturday 😊 fun idea!!! Could you maybe do a video on colourful looks? Like how one could integrate some fun colours into eye looks without it being too much or too complicated. When you do colours it always looks well put together so maybe you could give tips how to approach colours❤
I absolutely remember that Covergirl concealer stick and the Instant Cheekbones! Such amazing products and I am so glad they’re still around. The shadows in the LA Girl pallet remind me of the original 3 pan Wet n Wild eyeshadows. I did a massive declutter last time I moved And got rid of a lot of those 3 pan eyeshadows, still mad about that!
I have that Profusion face/eye palette and I love it! Great for travel too…everything is in there except for foundation, mascara and lip. It’s cushioned so, I can just throw it in my suitcase and it doesn’t break.
I'm really looking forward to your hand cream video. I have bought so many creams, lotions and ointments for my dry , cracked hands and nothing seems to work for me. I always look forward to seeing your videos!
I completely trust your tried and true makeup suggestions. The CG cheekers? Absolutely!! I have the plum trio and you talk about staying power? Oh yeah! I am ordering me some Vanicream My dermatologist recommended this for dry skin. I always watch your videos Em and always click the like button.. Your videos have been a wonderful source of comfort especially now- My Dad passed away right before Christmas this year. Your videos have given me a chance "to get excited about something" again. For the past few weeks I have not been excited like I usually am. This video today has really perked me up. Thank you Em, I love you!💜💜💜
I love you Em! Even if we don’t always have the same taste in makeup, I still end up watching because I’ve been watching over 10 years! So much love 🫶🏻
Great content Emily! People can be so snobby regarding 'Dollar' store products - especially cosmetics. Educate yourself and get over it. If you want to be swindled and pimped, that's fine. One of my favorite eye serums is from Dollar Tree and has legitimately incredible ingredients. BTW, I love Rimmel, old school Cover Girl, LA Colors, and Profusion. Thank you for not forgetting about these products, Em.
Hi. Unfortunately, I haven't seen it in the store for some time. I'm glad I got several back-ups. It's the Age Defy Dark Circle & Puffiness Serum by Skin Nutrition Botanicals. I'm hoping my store brings it back. It's possible other Dollar Tree stores stock it. I love it. Good luck. 😊
I remember those concealer sticks, great for your purse. Vanicream is my go to moisturizer. I keep it in my pro kit because 1) works on all skin types 2) absorbs quickly without leaving a residue 3) plays well with all my other products 4) excellent price point 5) no scent. I have rosacea and it really helps to soothe and reduce the redness and look of the break out. I also use it on set to help with touch ups when dryness starts to appear. My other go to especially for men is good old chapstick in the black tube. It hydrates without leaving a glossy look and works well under lipstick without breaking down the pigments. I start every application with witch hazel, Vanicream, chapstick and something Kiehl’s eye fuel to reduce puffiness.
For the stain: a drop of Dawn dishsoap, or a squirt of Dawn powerwash dish spray. Rub it in and wash per usual. Your stain should be gone, even if the stain is been through the dryer. 🎉 Cheekers are my all time favorites. I hope they never change them. 💕
Thank you, Emily, for always being a champion of just *good makeup*, no matter the cost or hype. Longtime subscriber & I always know i can trust your recommendations - you're a real one! 💕
I had a very stubborn balsamic vinegar stain on a shirt. I mixed a paste of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and a drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid (the blue colored one). I rubbed it into the stain with a Q-tip and it got it out. Hopefully this works for you.
Tyfs. I actually have a white Calvin Klein hoodie but I wore it to work and I got a few stains on it. I’m gonna try this, especially cuz I got everything on hand here!
Thanks for this idea, Em! Many of us are always on the lookout for things that stand the test of time. Also, would really appreciate a hand lotion review!
Yes to hand cream video! Also I would love to see you pack your “travel makeup bag hero’s!” Like what if you’re going away do you know can handle anything
“Watched” this on my way back from a recent Walmart run and totally stopped at DG and snagged that eyeshadow palette in two color ways! Can’t wait to try it in the morning!!
Hi Emily, Yes, please do a hand cream video! The Necessaire fragrance-free one is my current favourite. It's great for Canadian winter & seems to be light enough to work year-round ❤
So…I’m kind of stuck on cream and liquid blushes BUT because of you about a year ago I strongly encouraged my wealthy cousin to go back to Cheekers which she hadn’t used in 20 years. She LOVES them. I love you and have added in and loved a lot of things you have suggested but Emily we have all had chalky full face palette of shadows holiday style from Walgreens-I want to believe but I have ptsd from the past about those 😂 For anyone-the Profusion brushes are great!
I'm with you in spirit on the old-school lipstick concealers for touchups. I had that epiphany awhile ago. You need something drier and waxy to put on those sunglasses wear offs/where my lip balm has worn off my corners but I've never got one light enough.
Good morning, Sunshine 🌞 ! Emily, you should know by now that we'll always trust you. We love you, sweetie 🎉. I've been watching you for many, many years b4 children. Enjoy the weekend ❤.
I hardly see anyone talking about it but this powder has been my holy grail for about a decade now. Have you tried the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation? Just a beautiful blurring foundation and gives such a natural glow. Definitely my “you just gotta trust me” product 😊
Hi Emily, I was finally sold on your praise of the Cover Girl cheeker's blush during the Emily awards and I bought myself a number of shades since then. I have to say, I haven't been disappointed! I especially love classic pink! But I have the shades rock n rose, brick rose, Soft sable, plum, and natural twinkle. and they all work for me! Edit: One more fan of Vanicream here! The stuff is great! I first heard about it on doctor Dray's channel and I was one of the viewers Who recommended you try it when you were talking about your dryness and irritation.
I immediately think of your dollar general recommendations! I'm in NC so I have a DG on every block and have bought some of ur recs and ended up being so glad I did 😊❤ OH gah takin it back to Olan mills in Kmart 😮😊
Just wanted to stop in and say Good Morning to you and everyone in the bb family! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We are expecting some snow here tomorrow! Our first real snow of the season. Praying the roads won’t be too bad. I’ve still gotta work till the middle of the week! ❄️🌨️
I trust you, Emily!! 😊 You need to try the Vanicream vitamin c serum in the pump - I’m on my second tube. So good for sensitive skin!! If I wore lashes I’d be buying that lash glue for sure! Love the CG concealer stick for touch ups! I’ve found Dr. Paw Paw at TJ Maxx- it is so good! Great video!! ❤❤❤
I’ve bought a couple of the Instant cheekbones because of you, and cheekers blush as well. I also recently bought the Too Faced holiday palette because of you and those are probably my favorite blushes and highlighter that I now own. A “trust me” product for me is Violet Voss MATTE shadows. Their shimmers are fine, but for me their matte formula is beautiful. They remind me of Anastasia’s best quality but with no fallout. I don’t know how they do it. But specifically their Olive You Forever palette which has such beautiful mauve-y brown mattes, and some pretty green and gold shimmers.
I have trusted and continue to trust you, Em!!! Picked up the Paw-paw balms the first time you mentioned them, have three shades of the “cheekbones” Covergirl blushes and four of the “cheekers” all from watching your demos. Love!!!! Thanks for being fun and inspiring!! ❤
Happy Saturday Emily, how are you feeling today? Cover girl blush was my first blush I ever purchased - the 3 pan - I forget which color but I repurchased different ones throughout the years. I always get excited when you mention them! 👏 You are the most trusted beauty content creator for me! I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your family 💗
That Cheekers blush in a peachy color (may have been the same one) was my first blush, too! I also vaguely remember that before bronzers were widely available, I read an article that recommended the browner shade of the Cheekers blush to achieve the “J Lo Look”. Total classic and absolutely a winner of a product.
Oh hey for your stain on the shirt, I use vinegar in my laundry softener reservoir to the max line for every load no matter the size of the load and a fat splash in the pretreatment reservoir as well. It has replaced liquid softeners and dryer sheets, all of which leave a residue. My colors have never been more vibrant and my whites come out white every time and those little grease type stains come out every single time. I have had a couple of shirts like that that I could only wear a couple of times or with something over it because of that and when I started using vinegar in my wash, I’ve been able to wear those shirts whenever I want without having to cover them. And my clothes come out smelling fresh, not like vinegar and softened every time. Trust me ;) you won’t buy softener again. I learned this from cleaning lady Facebook group I follow. I have been doing this for 6 months now and can’t imagine going back. No to mention it’s better for your washer and dryer and anyone with sensitive skin.
VANICREAM is awesome!! I had a dry area in the corner of my eyes ( as you mentioned) and this cream took care of it. I had tried other moisturizers and they didn't work. I also put some in a small glass container for my vanity. Love this stuff! Thanks for the recommendation! 😊
If you say Trust me, I trust you!! Great vid idea!! I'd also love to see a full face of makeup you don't use often, but just can't let go! It sounds appropriate now that you're decluttering 😊 Lots of love from Mexico! 💚🤍❤️
Really enjoyed this video 💛Such a fun way to hype up more affordable options! I got a Cheekers blush years back because of your recommendation 😊 CG isn't very accessible where I am, but some time ago a local store sold a few of their products! I have the shade Iced Cappuccino, a shimmery light neutral blush. When I say shimmery, I mean it 😆 Love to use it standalone as a 2-in-1 blush and highlight, or as a topper to deeper matte blushes.
Back in the 70s and 80s the covergirl blush kit not only came with the highlight shade but also had a muted deeper shade they called the contour. You've persuaded me to revisit all the CG blushes. Will hit pan on soft mink soon!
Hi Emily!! Have you tried the Wet n Wild "Always Naked" or "Always Blushin'" eyeshadow palettes? Would love to know how they compare to other WnW eyeshadows ❤ love you!
Emily, this is why I watch you. You are like my husband with movies and books. He will try everything. Just like you with makeup. You'll give it a try because you've found enough cheap gems that you know there are more out there. You just gotta give 'em a try. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Things I tried in 2023 because Emily said to: Wet N Wild Hydrator Skin Tint (fabulous), Hard Candy sheer Envy Hydrating Primer, also fabulous. I’ve ordered the VaniCream because I’m extra dry this winter. So I’ll take your word for it. I may not rush out and buy it but I keep a list from people I trust and you’re one them! Hugs 🤗
Jen Phelps has talked about how wonderful the Cover Girl Cheekers are, too so they must be wonderful if you both recommend them. Also-and this really dates me but who remembers Erase concealers for under eye--they were pure white. I bet we all looked so amazing LOL.
Hi. Idea vintage makeup....1930 thru 1990. Looks fun series
That's a great idea. I have some books that might guide me through this
Yes to this!! Can you sneak in 1920s? It seems rarely does anyone get that one right. There seem to be many misconceptions about it. You could clear it up. 🥰
This is a great idea! I am so over glitter and shimmer…I love classic looks
Your grandmothers makeup vs your mom vs you. Show the products available to each generation and how they used them and why.
Love this idea!!
pretty amazing that Cover Girl has products that have been killing it since the 80's. I remember using those blushes when I was in high school. I'm 58
Love this video!! I used to love getting those Profusion palettes during the holidays. 😊
Yes, the LA colors eyeshadow palettes like that are amazing
Yes to the handcream video!!! Please let us know where you end up posting it 😊🙌🏻
Cheekers and cheekbones. Wow. 1980s junior high and highschool staple. The genius of the highlighter and the gradient blushes in the cheekbones. How could Cover Girl “know”? Decades ago?Mad mad respect. ❤

Those little brushes in the Cheekers are good for getting crumbs out of your keyboard haha.
Yes please to hand products video! Loved this video.
“You can put friendship bracelet beads in there”😂Along with being able to trust you, I’m also here for the one liners. You always have great ones!💜
I love that line too!
Tell me you're a momma of elementary school girls *without* telling me you're a momma of elementary school girls.
😂❤
Ioni’s killing it. Their gel eyeliner is so good (reminds me of the Pixi gel liners) and their eyebrow gel is fantastic.

Thank you for this!! You’re real. You’re honest. You’re humble. I love and have always these products and at 71 it was memory lane for me. ❤
Sounds like a great group. I always pay attention to your “sweatpants of makeup”, now this!
That Vanicream is amazing! I use it on my hands, face, & neck every night, and it is the best. Thanks for sharing!

OK! I’m so old I remember when Instant Cheekbones has a CONTOUR shade, and there used to be a how-to-use/placement diagram on the back of the package. This was probably circa ‘84-‘86. For reference: I am 53.
Me too! The three colors ARE supposed to be "contour" "blush" and "highlighter". That's why they're called instant cheekbones
I'm 54 i remember those seems like so long ago and it was the only blush bronzer I used at the time nostalgia
I’m 63 and remember it too! That was my first experience with cheek contour!
yes! I remember, I'm 55 😉
The Wet n Wild Photo Focus stick foundation is excellent for touch ups. I keep it at work and use an eyeshadow brush to apply. Super easy and affordable.

I have a whole acrylic makeup drawer full of different colored Cheekers....soft sable is good too!
I have that red balm, and it’s so healing and gives nice color to the lips.
Those products bring back memories of my first makeup collection back in the late 90's ❤
You are so cute Emily! Ty for showing us products other RUclipsrs don't show us!❤
keep doing these Emily! I love this idea!
I would love to see a “Best Nuetral/Nude lipliners and lipsticks/glosses” video, including all price ranges.
Yes. I glazed over on the Profusion!! 😂so big!
The lip balms look amazing on you!
I remember you loving MAC. It’s been a while! I’d love to see a few MAC items reviewed. Maybe foundations? Their blushes are amazing!
It sounds appropriate now that you're decluttering 😊
Lots of love from Mexico!
Olan Mills ,what a blast from the past. Thanks !
Hi Emily!! Have you tried the Wet n Wild "Always Naked" or "Always Blushin'" eyeshadow palettes? Would love to know how they compare to other WnW eyeshadows ❤ love you!
I stumbled upon the 5 products only face trend from a few years ago and cg instant cheeckones in purely plum also make gorgeous eyeshadows.
I love the paw paw tinted balms!!!!
I just got the facial vanicream and I like it! It has the same ingredients as cerave PM moisturizer but I think it just a bit more moisturizing..
I love cover girl I've worn it since I was in high school I used it for dates ,concerts I've been at great makeup items and great full coverage shades
My first blush was cover girl cheekers and I still love it.
The first blush I bought my daughter was cover girl instant cheekbones! Cover girl blushes are so good!
I love this idea for a video! Please, keep making these as a series ❤❤❤
My aunt swore by the cover girl blushes and always carried the pretty peach with her! 😊
