Great combinations Donnaleigh! I want to add dog + key may also mean a friend who opens your eyes, a friend who will help you to overcome obstacles, a friend who gives solutions to you, so he/she is valuable.
Donna I just wanted to thank you for being you so warm so friendly so loving and you teach like a dream come true. Thanks to you the language of the lenormand has become like a friend to me. I am deeply appreciative and grateful thank you again loads of love and angel hugs
What an exciting thing to hear that you've bonded so well with the system! This makes me very happy. Enjoy your journey with the Lenormand. It is remarkable, as I'm sure you have already discovered. Have a great week!
+Tina Sarup I am way to late in finding this comment. Thank you so much for this lovely note. I am so pleased you have bonded with the Lenormand and hope you are still using it and finding it helpful. xo
Donna I too! want to thank you for your loving ways. I feel like I've known you for a lifetime even though I am very new to your teaching. Love You Thank you so much for all the hard work and time you devote to teaching.
The depiction of my dog card is somewhat different. It is a dog, sitting in front of a fireplace, inside the house. So, the extended meaning I figured out, that it could mean your comfort zone, and also, being true to yourself, being your own best friend, staying safe etc. Tree could also mean growth and child could mean happiness.
Karin Desmonds We have to be careful about extending meanings too much. That is how tarot is read, but not traditional Lenormand. Some of the meanings you give a (Like growth for Tree) are traditional meanings, but it would be slow growth. Tarot meanings are broadly expanded, but not traditional Lenormand. That would further confuse meanings when combinations are used. You want tight, crisp meanings for accuracy. This oracle is completely different than tarot. The picture doesn't alter the meanings between decks like tarot. They are symbols that are read consistently from deck to deck.
yes, that could be one interpretation. Either physically moving, moving interests...if you are concerned about their loyalties, look for cards like Clouds, Mice, Snake, Fox....the troublesome cards will give you hints about their sincerity. The Lily near the dog is a good sign. The snake near the dog....not. So look for validation with the cards around it in addition to that stork. you'll see several hints in the area.
Hi, Donnaleigh! I love and appreciate your videos so much! Thank you! I'm recommencing my Lenormand studies and did a three-card practice reading for a friend. The question was about him trying a new direction for his business. I drew Paths + Key + Dog. MY question to you is about how I read the Dog card. I told him that the new direction was excellent (Paths + Key) but to make the most of it, he had stick to that decision (be loyal to it?) (Dog). What do you think? Is that a legit Dog-card reading? Thank you!
Oh, he's not studying (that's ME, studying Lenormand, LOL!, and practicing on him!). He's thinking of trying a new direction for his business. In the past, though, he's started things and not followed through. That's why I was thinking that Dog could be more of a verb (DO this), rather than a noun/person. Does that make sense?
Jamie Morris Yes, in that case dog would represent loyalty...staying true to the path (this is the literak sentence in the cards). Making the right (key) choice (path) and staying true (dog) to it. Context helps everything slip together in a small spread like this. Great job!
Or, perhaps, that one is married to [ring] and loyal/devoted [dog] to one's trade/line of business [fish]. Or that one's spouse or betrothed [ring] is emotionally [fish] protective [dog].
I have a question about the Star card. I understand that this card often refers to the internet. But when these cards were made, there was no internet at all. What was the original meaning of this card?
With all the differences of what the cards may mean, is this where you bring in your intuition to decide which meaning it appropriate? Or do you continue to question the person you are reading to narrow down the correct meaning?
You are such a generous soul to share your wealth of information with us. Thank you kindly, Donnaleigh!
Thank you for showing how to read 2 card combinations like this without a question. Can't wait to try this out now.
You explain these cards so beautifully.
I love that you say just because a book does not say it does not mean that you are not suppose to see it. You are a great teacher.

What deck is this? I love it! Your videos are extremely helpful - thank you! ❤️
And anyone that like chocolate like you do can be a friend of mine!
Could the dog and stork combination also be a friend that is changing or moving loyalties?

Jamie Morris yes, it could be that. Do you know what he is studying? Dog can mean support jobs like counselors.

Oh, thanks, Donnaleigh! I think, maybe maybe, I'm just starting to get this! I really appreciate you giving me a thumbs up this time.
Jamie Morris good job!
This is the Lo Scarabeo Lenormand, but I trimmed off most of the borders.
Thanks, Librarygurl!
Can fish+dog+ring mean friends with benefits?
For me that would be dog/Whip. Friend & sex
Or, perhaps, that one is married to [ring] and loyal/devoted [dog] to one's trade/line of business [fish]. Or that one's spouse or betrothed [ring] is emotionally [fish] protective [dog].
Love this, thanks so much! Which deck is that?
It's the lo scarabeo lenormand. I love your channel as well :)
