I love the way you're discribing everything. From sunshine and low wind to dark night with crash helmet and strong wind we've been with you😊 thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us all
Gosh what a magnificent diary you have shared with us all Pip, I laughed so hard at the ‘Where are you going?’ ‘Where have you come from?’ chat!!! And reflecting on possibly being the first human to have ever been in that exact part of the ocean….mind blowing and very special feeling indeed. Sending you much love from Devon xxx
Hello Pip! Your update is so exciting, first it looked as if you were on a cruise in summer wear then back to safe insulation wear, so temperatures fluctuate suddenly? That was a thrilling exchange with the big ship - we ‘round the world are enjoying your awesome journey and admire your skills, continue safe and pleasant sailing, and thank you for sharing your progress with us; best regards from Chicago
Fantastic video Pip, day, night, fast, slow and a chat with an inquisitive Captain and a peek at your larder! Good to see you looking so chipper too. Your post had me smiling all the way through. So from sunny Eastbourne, stay safe and of course continue to enjoy. 🤗I've also booked The Lighthouse!
It is so wonderful to hear you describing the exhilaration you feel as the boat moves under/around you, and you intimately feel the forces exerted on it. What an amazing experience, and you are so generous to share it with all of us. I watched as you did, the slow plodding ship in the distance, and I realized I related more to it than to Medallia. I twice sailed (large bulk carriers) from Corpus Christi, Texas to Kandla, India (15,000 nm, 60+ days) around Cape of Good Hope (Suez Canal was closed after '67 War), trips that meant almost no sight of land for two months. Please continue to so honestly share your experience of the Vend'ee Globe with all of us, I for one search for any news about your race all day
Your awe inspiring geographical references at the middle of the ocean made me tear up. It must have been a profound feeling of the enormity of our world. I always enjoy your updates because we feel your emotions. Thanks.
Just heard you describe your keel and sail issues Pip. Sending you love and support. You’re a star and you will get your mojo back. Sail on and look after yourself 😘
Sos lo más Pip. Me encanta tu entusiasmo y tus reflexiones. Ojalá salga todo bien!!! Y que una alta presión importante demore a los punteros 😊. Mirando desde Argentina
Dear Pip, you are doing a great job, Chapeau!!! I never sailed, but a son of me does that in USA. And I watched you also 2020. So, please take care for you and your boat. I wish you just the best and keep my fingers crossed. Greetings from North-Germany ❤👏🤞👍👩🦳🤶
You are doing great, Pip. Your performance is so constant. I have read your fantastic book and you are doing YOUR race. 👍👍👍👍 Best wishes from Germany ❤️
Great job Pip. Your reflections about the position in the atlantic ocean - so good to see you are able to recognize! The conversations with captains of big ships made me laugh😅, thanks for this. And now good luck for the southern ocean. P.S. I am just looking at Photos with you I made from the dock in Les sables d'olonne and now sitting in my armchair in Berlin after work... just saying you and all these other sailors inspire so much 😊
I've been missing these thoughtful, personal videos. I get the felling you're more absorbed in this race than in 2020. However, I think you're doing amazing; leading your generation of boats. 'Use you brain', that what you always say..... Fair, but strong, winds...
Good to see you so fresh and relaxed….and full of beans….sure you haven’t been OD on those choc coffee treats I do wonder if it helps knowing where the others are..,or better just to sail your own race? Thanks again, so enjoyed this episode…you are amazing
Those foils and the bulkheads or whatever that hold them in place must be built incredibly strong to be able to survive the massive forces on them over such a long period of time. Amazing technology. Go Pip!
So beautiful to see this...I sail a 470 myself and then you are hands on...Medallia sprays full speed ahead and you are cleaning up...make some tea maybe a little nap....love it!

Great to see you smiling and enjoying the race. Get that boat moving. Must be thrilling. Just watching the wake in these shots has me green with envy.
