Must be a little RFID/NFC chip in the label roll. Incredible little device, especially for the price.

Yeah, I have a 2nd one that I'll be posting to the main channel. Trying to clarify with the company if the RFID restricts people to only using their rolls and not generic ones. If thats the case it hurts a little bit. Wouldn't matter to the casual user but any business needing thousands of labels would be better off with something they can get generic labels for.
