    Is it getting to late to do a walk away split? Do we just need to introduce a new Queen at this late stage? I mean it would be more then a month for them to start a new queen. Then get her mated and start laying! I have one hive that needs splitting again. Another that is not queen right yet I started from a split 45 days ago. need to start over with that one. But again.Is there enough time before winter?
    Thanks for you videos. Love the way they make us look at things.

      Probably not without having to supplement them. Do you have a fall nectar flow?

      You’d have to look at adding brood after the queen successfully mates to make sure they maintain good population along with feed. It’s possible but risky this late in the season

      a Canadian Beekeeper’s Blog only a couple hundred this year - lost that many over this last winter... we should have the mite issues under control 🙄🤞

      The Queen had laid through six deeps ... she was very prolific!
