If you were a member of a Japanese gang it would definitely be the poppyseed clan.
Sign me up! I'm ready.
I've watched one and two already. Both great films in the bonkers sense (especially number 2).
Fun fact - the Gatling Gun was patented in 1862, and the Edo period ended in 1868 (the period in which I presume these films are set), so its entirely plausible for Tomisaburo Wakayama's character to have access to one. 😆
I've seen a lot of 19th century machine guns in movies but I didn't know anything about the actual history of them. Great to know! Thanks for sharing.
I need to check out the third film in the series. The first one is my new favorite movie and I really enjoyed the second one as well.
I got mine in the mail a few weeks back and haven't watched them yet but after watching this review, I'm going to watch them ASAP, spaghetti westerns are one of if not my favorite genre of film, over the top fun and serious AF all in one film. Thanks for all the great content.
If you love spaghetti westerns I think you'll really dig these movies, especially the second one. I got such a strong spaghetti western vibe from that movie.
@@hkcinemasociety I watched the first one last night. It was pretty great, I will be watching the second film tonight. Can’t wait.
Awesome looking movies! I wanted to pick these up but never did. I’m so behind on the new release!
It's basically impossible to keep up with everything at this point. I'm make life or death decisions every time our Patreon payouts come in! There's two massive box sets I keep trying to save up for, then something else comes along like Legacy of Rage or An Autumn's Tale and it completely throws off my plans!
I secured my set awhile back but I'm a lazy ass so I have not gotten to watching them yet.
You gotta check it out when you have time, I think you'll really dig these movies. I need to stop messing around and watch the third one already.
Lol yeah got my copy on release day but haven't had a chance to check them out yet either.
@@RiFFi1955 this is a release I would easily have left in a pile for months, but I was randomly struck by a whim one day and threw the first one on and loved it immediately.
