One thing that I've come to realize is that when you cut off the business avenue for crims it makes grinding their main avenue for money which Imma be honest grinding rp is boring :).
Ngl grindings the main avenue for money for everyone. Crims, civs, even cops are grinding civ jobs to make money. I think the devs have rly dropped the ball with how slowly business license approvals have been (I havent heard of a single one that has been approved)
Saddam Hucrane has way too much decision power on spicy issues. Mayor and CoS can just be cancelled pd/healthcare and Crane will almost always have at least two votes (bar and/or treasurer). Imo, axe the healthcare liason because they have almost nothing to do with legislation and take Crane's voting power away since he's already in charge of the judicial branch and is the main mouthpiece for the state.

Koil's idea doesn't really make sense though because ultimately the decisions are being made ooc by "the state." There's no in game mechanism for changing what Crane wants. You can only have an effect on things that the mayor controls, and the mayor can only control things that Crane allows.
I think it makes sense for a city wide vote for council members because in game they’re essentially Congress so the people (not just “peers”) vote on them
From what Koil said the council is meant to manage the society they live in. But all it does is promote the viewpoint of a certain clique of streamers that are mostly whitelisted gvmt types. As such it is boring as fuck because they literally are not living in the same RP reality as the majority of the server. Add to that they whitelist ideas from their friends and deny ideas from people they dont know or like well.
