    Hello.
What is the difference with the move order 1 e4 d6? I usually go 2 d4 Nf6 3 Nc3 e5 4 Nf3 and after 4... Nbd7 reach the main lines I would somehow prefer to avoid. Is there an antidote - a drawback to early Nf6?

Great video. I play the philidor with black but I use a pirc move order 1...d6 to avoid this line and others

Nice lecture, regarding the main line, there are these 2 games as model ones:
    Tiviakov - Murshed 2003
    Boleslavsky - Shcherbakov 1942

Butcher-san !! What do you think of 1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4 3. Bc4 ? (I've been using this move order for almost 2 years now and the thing is it avoids Petrov and directly forces black into either Scotch, Nimzowitsch or Philidor)
Arigato gozaimasu for this video !!

Mr butcher, the lines after 4..., h6 are too sharp, specially the ideas with 8. Nc3 sacrificing the knight on e5.
That is way too sharp, white is completely winning but one mistake and now is black who is on the advantage!!
Mate in 10 etc but if You miss, You lose!
I am 2000 at tactics but this is way ahead my capacities.

Just learn it :) There are two type of lines: bad ones (learn them by heart) and good ones (learn model games and plans). So learn it!

Your video is a strawman. You are giving nlack a wrong moveorder.
