Without Exploring 8 North Eastern States, 2 Island Territories and Himalayan Mountain States, Visit of India is incomplete. I hope you comeback next time to explore these places in our Country.
Thanks for visiting us, please come again. Love you both from Kerala. Next time please include north eastern India and Himalayan regions as I find them the most beautiful, may be because I am from Kerala, down south😀😇!
Also, thanks for telling us about the negatives, on which we are working on but due to the size of the country and population and porous nature of our borders, it is very slow going. I think the social issues will improve with economic improvement and education as you see in the south.
Staring foreigners especially white is a normal Indian habit. Its mostly not ogling . of course there are some desperate guys who things its easy to sleep with western people be cos they see it in movies
Dude. North Indian states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar are extremely poor. Avoid those states. South Indian states are much more prosperous and civilised. Use this Human Development Index list of Indian states as a guide to assess the safety of the state- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indian_states_and_territories_by_Human_Development_Index
Honest review. Sorry guys for the bad experiences. As an indian as a man, i feel angry at these creepy scoundrels. They behave the same way wheather you are an indian or a foreigner.
whole india pay the cost of no development in east up, bihar, jharkhand. specially in north people from these area migrate in big cities live in slums. and involve in all bad stuffs. overall not civilized at all. its not all their fault also bcoz places they came from have atmosphere like that with no development no proper education and everything their mindset just become like that. Sorry for all the bad experiences.
I agree with your review. I’m really sorry for the rough experience your wife went through. The sad reality is my country has a long way to go for ensuring women safety. We don’t let our own female family members out at night or isolated places alone. The south is a bit better but still far from perfect. There is a lack of quality education in our country to teach the men of our country the true values of being a real man.
Exactly . We are sorry to you guys. Also having lived in both north and south india . South india is much better than north india for traveling and vacation destinations. Your review is absolutely brutal but honest. Few people ruin it for everyone. I hope you guys visit again .
Brilliant...absolutely frank and honest feedback. Really appreciate. I am from India and what you said about Agra is very true. The whole place stinks and is dirty ...but its there that we have a wonder of the world. Its a shame.
Delhi and UP are most risk, foreigners should avoid these places of India. People from these places made India a bad reputation. South India is more safe for foreigners. My suggestion to foreigners: Please visit South India and avoid Delhi, UP.
Down in south India 🇮🇳 people are more educated and had more respect for other down south is the only area were many foreigners love to visit South India has always made a positive image of India then north
Big thumbs up for your reviews and Merry Christmas. I am living in North India and I do agree these issues. I would say you booked wrong place for staying in Old delhi. Paharganj is worst place and most Chaotic. There are lots of migrants from other parts of India living there for employment and they are quite uneducated. You should have opted for New Delhi instead. Instead if you ask me, I would never advise anyone to visit Delhi unless you love chaos and wanna become mad😊. It better to enjoy peaceful vacations in South and North East India. Hope you enjoy fullest during your next trip☺️
I am indian but even indian women get stared at by these men. I can completely related to that fixed staring. I have been subjected to it when we travelled to Delhi. Really dont know what's wrong with these men.
Ur trip to India is incomplete if u dont explore 7sisters State ... NorthEast India.. 😊 Tribal State 😊Meghalaya Tripura Assam Mizoram Manipur Nagaland Arunachal pradesh 😉 love Frm Meghalaya....
@Sudipa jai hind Get a life rather trying to spread hate against ur own ppl. Only 40% people of Assam are assamese rest are illegal immigrants. Also FYI there is a good amount of people thriving from Marwar,Punjab and Bengal in Assam and all blend in to stay bonded like brothers and sisters. In future try to earn some knowledge on ur own from 'books' and google rather picking up shitty info from 'somebody'. People from here move to mainland either as students or in search for jobs. Tell ur tea seller to put some effort in development in this side,to build companies here, to establish more than one IITs here and then talk shit. It is the right of every human being born in any country whats illegal is illegally crossing borders in flux and showing dominance and power over the place's own ppl and taking over their jobs when there is already stone raining unemployment. The only place in India with good amount of jobs and institutions is the mainland and people can and will come from all parts of India where there are not enough jobs. India doesnot revolve around you and your priviledged mindset. In some parts of India which are non existant for you farmers are dieing for there is no food and kheti, as ur tea seller spents millions and billions on some statue the youth has to study hard and move out to the main cities of the country. Bullshit.
Nice review overall, first and fall thank u for visiting India, being an Indian n travelled north and South i totally agree with u, problem in India especially north has problem illiteracy, poverty, attiquete and others n even we face it, so we r improving n will improve for sure with time n apologizes for the wrong experiences n keep visiting india
@@reepusingh2136 what behavior 😂obove states people are most hospitable then any state of india... You can check crime rate in this state and compared with your... We Himalayan prople don't hate south but we don't like up, bihar, haryana, delhi, jharkhand people... Not because we are fair in skin but because they lack ethic and mannner.. I am also indian gorkha from sikkim.. Jai hind
Honestly we Indians Even don't go to Delhi agra... every one knows in india how hectic unsafe these places are don't know why Foreigner visit these places
Yeah mainly because Taj Mahal is a wonder of the world so pretty much one of the most famous places in the world, everyone has heard of it. And Delhi I think it is because the majority of international countries have direct flights there as it is the capital and it is also a good spot to fly into if you want to visit Taj Mahal, Rajasthan or even venture into the north. Can be hard to avoid it.
I think the government must make tourist aware of those places... Foreigners only visit hampi and sometimes gokarna... But there is lot more to explore in Karnataka...
If you want to go north, then go far up north to the Himalayan state of Jammu, Himachal and Uttarakhand. And maybe Rajasthan of course. What happened with your wife was so annoying really. You should always tell off such people. Never let them go unaccounted for.
The people who wish to come india ..just not only visit taj mahal and surroundings, try to visit Northeast states and also south india ..then you wll realize how vivid and colour full is our country
Thank you for this very honest review! I'm keen to travel to India w/ my BF, but I'm a bit leery because of the reports of sexual harassment on women - not only from you, but from other travellers as well. Will keep that in mind, and will be very careful in choosing the places we decide to visit. I'm watching your India & Sri Lanka vids during this quarantine period - not skipping ads. I don't know if you'll read this - but stay strong! Cheers & stay positive! Greets from 🇵🇭 💕
Have to be careful how you define North India. Many tourists go to delhi, agra, jaipur and define it as North India. For me, the actual beauty lies in the Himalayas in the North. The delhi-agra-varanasi belt is good for its historical buildings but it is dirty, a bit dangerous and chaotic.
Hahaha..I laugh when you say lots of men in the street of India..But if you visit Meghalaya(India) in northeast, there are more women than men in the street, markets, shopkeepers etc coz Meghalayan culture practises matrilineal system means head of the family is Mother...So women in Meghalaya get more respect than in the entire India or may be in the world..thats y you will find more women than men in Meghalaya..Daughtes are the apples of the family in Meghalaya.. Your Indian visit is incomplete without visiting Northeast India..This is incredible Indis.
I visited TM recently, I was shocked that this red building floor area close to it was covered in pigeon poo that you were not allowed to wear shoes to walk on. Agra city stank crazy of the animal waste. Agra is governed by the Muslims, and as I understood, the government of India gave the Ag-Governers tons of money to clean their act but to no avail. Shame really.
I am from Kerala. Thanks for you complements regarding Keral visit.Extreemly sorry foryour unpleasent Iexperiences in India. As someone commented its because of lack of education they were behaving like this. You guys are really marvelous .Keep going .With best wishes .Praying for you both for a safe journey back to your Home.God Bless you.
I am sorry that you had to experience bad things in India and I accept everything you say because this is probably the best review I could find about India. The creepy guys you are talking about usually comes from North Indian Slums who are not educated. North India is actually the worst comparing to any part of India. I would recommend you to visit North East (Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, 7 sisters) and South India (Mainly Karnataka, Kerala and a little bit of Tamil Nadu and Andhra).
Nd if u really want to visit north india thn go for uttarakhand, himachal and jammu, u will definitely feel safe here thn other part of north india....
Really impressed with your reviews regarding India. What you said about Safety of Women is true to some extend. We see a lot of incidents on a day to day basis, these days. We cannot blame poverty or lack of education for these behaviors. It is purely on how they have been brought up in their families. South India is far better in this aspect when compared to some Northern parts of India. I am from Kerala and am really proud to say that. Best wishes to your Channel and Keep your great work going !!
I disagree with your judgement regarding Kerala. Doesn't Kerala have the second or third-highest number of reported rapes annually among Indian states? Kerala is also one of the worst states in terms of women's safety and is in no position to be criticizing the North. We must all work together to resolve these issues everywhere across India.
You need to visit Maharashtra we have lots of beautiful places other than Mumbai greenery more than 300 hill forts for trekking..my favorite ancient ajanta ellora caves..
Ok I'll break it down for you: Avoid: > North-Central part of India Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi), Bihar, Haryana Cautious: Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha & West Bengal Visit: REST OF INDIA > The True North (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Punjab, Uttarakhand) > The 7 North-East Sister States (Meghalaya, Arunanchal, Sikkim etc) > The West (Mumbai-Goa, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Maharashtra) > The South States (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana etc) > The island U.Ts (Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar) (Forgot to mention) The North-Central part of India- Delhi NCR (Gurugram, Noida) etc sees a great influx of people (mostly migrant workers) from neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh (my state), Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha & West Bengal Now these states/regions are quite poor (& hence the youth migration) besides being one of the most backward & less educated regions in India. The people here have lesser exposure to 'progressive/developing India', let alone any global exposure and hence their out of place weird/creepy behaviour. Besides Delhi, other prominent cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai etc recieve these immigrants in equal measure. They are your typical frivolous roadside vendors, touts, tuk-tuk drivers, & blue-collar workers by large.
@@HKHR-j1n True...but don't you think Iskcon (Hare Krishna): 1) Are already accustomed to Indian culture in some degree & have a positive attitude & curiosity towards things they don't understand, due to their spiritual predilections 2) Many especially the first-timers visit in escorted groups led by senior, more experienced mentors who have already visited India many times. 3) They are not your stereotypical western tourists, they are more of spiritual travellers & hence a special category My breakdown was for the typical western tourist who have love-hate relationship to India, in part due to the cliche circuits they do thinking it all of India, when we all know there's so much more to love and learn here...

I bet you would be as interested as me to hear the Generalizations that'll follow ;) .....and hence my Generalizations....
I agree 100% with your negative feedback. We did face similar issues in Jaipur, Delhi and Agra. But the South and the East are much more relaxed and welcoming. I wish you both all the best with your travels. Keep up the good work.
# ellie, muffasa and others ...Yep, most of them in the north of India are offsprings of 800 years of invasion. Add illiteracy and lack of ethics, you get a cesspool called North India.
@Abhi R Your hate filled rantings clearly proves my point Boy! If you could show so much loathings for a factual information, then why should one be surprised, if you people target foreign female visitors? Anyhow, you asked for data on literacy rates, so I would advice you to check out the Census India- State of Literacy and educate yourself.
Pleased to see a very unbiased review! North has lot issues like poverty and lack of education. Thank you for your review. We are working on all the issues you have mentioned hope next time you’ll have even great experience! Maharashtra a state in India where Mumbai is has lot of historical places , if you ever visit again please explore! Relatively very less issues like you faced up north.
Thanks for this honest review. I am from Goa(by origin) , and the staring thing definitely is a big issue. I can speak only for Goa, but the majority of those staring are from other state's as you correctly mentioned. As a result many in Goa do not want these outsiders in the state because it ruins the image of the local people, and other tourist( not from India) are usually not going to be able to detect this. I feel the reason why the local Goans/kerela people are not like this is because many have been abroad, have family abroad and so on. Hopefully this will change in the near future though to the point where this kind of behaviour no longer exists in the whole of India. You are hands down the best travel vlog channel I've seen who takes the extra effort to get to know the culture of the local people and give a fair representation of the places visited. If I was there I would of invited you to my house and shown you the Portuguese interior, Goan food etc- either way do come again!
Hey Alex, you said " I feel the reason why the local Goans/kerela people are not like this is because many have been abroad, have family abroad and so on ". Do you realise that women get groped and their bottoms touched in many developed nations as well ? This attitude is not exclusive to India .
Alex I totally agree with you, Indian migrants to Goa don't know to behavior as they brought up like uncultured, I have too goa and local goans are very good people and well behaved, Goa has the lowest crime in Goa only criminals and scammers in Goa are indian migrants, I am from NorthEast we are well behaved just like goans
As a Goan I totally agree with you. These people from other states come to Goa and behave in very bad manner like staring at Foreigners and asking for Selfies all they time. They ruin image of Goa with their bad behavior. Local Goans are well Educated and well behaved. We respect Foreign tourist as they are very important for Goa's economy and we Goans truly have the spirit of Attiti Devo Bhava..

Chris and Carol..pls accept our apologies for not being treated well in India ..it’s such a shame that we don’t care how we behave.. you have shown us the mirror…hope we improve and become more foreigner friendly..but moving south , there is a sea change and most of it is attributable to education/ literacy..hope you both overcome this and visit the entire south , north east and of course the majestic Himalayas..I have visited Brazil , Argentina and Chile ..you are at a different level.. keep up the good work .. I love your vlogs ..Good luck
You are not very wrong about Delhi, in the field I work I have lots of jobs in Delhi which pay well but I don't want to go there for the same reason. Also Paharganj in general is not a good area, you are better off staying in New Delhi if want to visit.
Also in general India is kind of place where in the same city you will find the most modern clean areas where ppl who won't bother you, no scams, great food and there are areas like Paharganj. I know it's not my place to say whether solo females should travel here or not, but I will definitely recommend that if you know someone indian then take their help, they will properly guide you for your journey here and you will have a pleasant experience.
Dont worry because it's habits of indian people to staring to see foreigner girls or any indian more light Or beautiful girls n another reason is that indian guys are friendly , so indian guys are proud of this type of girls . This type of incident happen not only foreigner girls but also indian girls. You never seen before so this type of thinking comes your mind because your country may or may not happen mostly.
Kerala is also number one in recruitment of educated ( Graduated ) ISIS terrorists. 90 graduated peoples are involved in ISIS terrorist organisation in only one year.
You have explained your experience very honestly, I have lived in Delhi almost for 10 years and also scared to visit such areas in Delhi but yes as you mentioned, whole Delhi is not like that.

So I'm from Sri Lanka. I've been to India 3 times. Have to say it is one of the most amazing places I've been to. Few of my Indian friends told me that the situation in north India is very dangerous for travelers. For me I look more or less like an Indian but for a European looking foreigner it won't be the same for sure. Unfortunate that you guys had to face such bad experiences. But south India is far better in that sense.
Hi. Love your channel. My wife is Indian. I’m the typical English (now Canadian) Honkie. Our daughter travelled India with her female friend. Freaked us out to be honest because we knew it would be challenging. She was fine in Goa and Kerala. The further north she went the worse it became. Solo female travel. No way. Don’t do it. Way too risky. Thanks for your video.
Bro these staring men are not used to of foreigners, these are just creepy people but don't worry they won't hurt u anyway, always call 100 if you feel there's something wrong
majority of people who live in slums in big cities they are migrants of other villages and small towns in india . they have their homes in villages . but they come for better earning but because renting price can be very high in big cities so they live in slums temporarily earn more then move out to bigger houses , then others come . that's how the cycle goes on . india has lifted about 350 mil people out of poverty in last 15 years . you won't find any slum in any village of india .
Sorry for your unpleasant memories. Some of the Indians treats womens as a property and not a person, which is due to the lack of education. Education makes men perfect. We have hundreds of languages and my mother tongue is malayalam(kerala), therefore please leave the Grammer and other mistakes
Very honest review. Sorry for those unpleasant experiences. Love from Kerala. Visit north India for historic monuments, south for nature, hospitality and food and North East for unexplored natural beauty.
Very honest spot on opinion. Someone needs to show this video dubbed in Hindi in north Indian schools so at least the new generation turns out better. 'Jumping Places' should have made a video of these misbehaving guys and posted on youtube. By the way West is not free of creepy and racist people. Living in a Western society I very often feel discriminated, avoided and intimidated. We need a much better World.
i support you in his issue we always have creepy Indian tourist in Goa which spoil the name well Goa is safe then other states we have goa tourism police and indian reserve police around to take care of foreign tourist next time when you vist just call the cops with the help line and talk to local goan they will deal with them in their way or contact cops ....be safe stay safe
I'm an expat living in Chennai for a very long time here summer is extremely hot for example temperature can reach up to 49 degrees and winter is not cold at all, personally my most favorite states in India are Jammu and Kashmir, himachal pradesh,Sikkim where it's cold most of the year and also snows in winter giving a feeling of being in Europe or Canada and places like ooty, kodaikanal, munnar in southern India are cool too
Hi brother, your review was very honest. As an Indian, i am sorry for any inconvenience caused by some of the locals. I am from Tamil Nadu, the south corner of India
First of all my friend. I just thank of visiting India. As a andian it's too awful to hear ur opinion on ur experience and sry for all ur unpleasant experience in North. Thanks for the review. Very frank, straight from the heart. I was born in a very remote village, only few miles from Gokarna. Now, I live in Houston. We have so much in common. Never tried to live in anything 'Old' (like Old Delhi) in India. It's full of ghettos and dangerous. Sorry for the trouble you had. People in North are very aggressive because they had invaders for 1000s of years. Thanks for saying that there are better places than Taj Mahal. Come back to Gokarna and be my family guest as long as you want. You two are fresh of breath air.

I think after watching your videos, logistically and safety wise, North India might be better off with an organised tour. Can’t wait, going to do 2-3 months in 2021.
Chris, it is obvious that when you speak, it is from the heart. What a great, unbiased review based on your experiences. I don't know that I'll ever visit India, but have been told by an Indian acquaintance, (from the South/East) to be prepared for all the stares. Didn't know it could be this bad! Glad you had beautiful experiences also. P.s. My acquaintance, although well educated academically, can sit alone all night at a table, and just stare. Odd! I must say though, that this does not apply only to Indian men.
Thank you for this review, especially for women planning to visit India. Kerala really looks like a nice tropical place like the Philippines. Mark Weinz visited Kerala too and showed delicious looking dishes 😀

Indranil Seth I have no axe to grind with you or with the lecherous men of North India. I am just echoing my own experiences of my numerous visits to India, and hoping by sharing here, results in a better experience for the millions of visitors to India.
Foreigners visit India and go only delhi agra and Rajasthan.... And based on their experience in this places they judge India....... India is a huge country... Those areas aren't clean that's not other Indian fault... That's their government fault....... Bcz of delhi agra Rajasthan... The other Indian suffers
As an Indian even I won't go to Paharganj or Old Delhi unless I really have to. Backpackers really need to stop ending up in Delhi and then Paharganj on a first visit to the country.

Pahadganj is most infamous and cheapest area in delhi. If you can search RUclips many woman complained for molestation in that area in their vlog. Most of the misbehave and molestation almost 90% happens in Holi festival. So usually local woman avoid playing holi on street and they prefer to celebrate in private party. But foreigner don't know this and people molest or misbehave with them in the pretext of celebrating holi. Your wife look Indian but still she misbehaved by the people that amaze me. Leave staring and selfie addiction nowadays I have seen people are disturbing and forcing the foreigner(female) to make tiktok videos with them in most tourist places bcz that video with them get more views and likes.

Chris I thank you very much for making this video you balance the scale by throwing light on both negative and positive I know that not one if 100s of problem in India. But still I believe my country can offer a lot Patriarchy and cleanliness are issue we need to deal with. I would suggest anybody visiting Delhi should stick to south Delhi and stay away from cheap hotels South india is much more relaxing and some amazing architecture . I wish next time you visit india you also visit north east its really a third India Merry Christmas and wish that your channel blow up in 2020
some suggestion for tourist coming to India.... the problem with foreigner is some times they look for cheap place to stay in Delhi or in other places- avoid it.. and stay in at least some 2 -3 star Hotel, (Indian also dont stay in these places either)... also it will be nice to book taxis, hotel, probably a guide in advance or have a Indian friend who helps to visit places to avoid scammer, (indian also ask localities when they visit different states) dont eat street food from very small cheap shops, (even if it taste great) many such small street food shop cant take care of all the hygiene, some may not get sick but some can get. you can easily find some small but good famous restaurant serving the same dish (Indian also don't always eat from cheap local street shop, and even if they do they have a little better immunity to it) stares are true, (some stares are just curious for all foreigners, its ok), its good to visit places with some body, a Indian friend can tell you where to visit... avoid chaotic places like old cities and small market etc there this is common (but it also depends to you what you exactly want to see in India, some foreigner have no problems going to such chaotic places even in slams)
Cris and Carol keep safe always wherever you go... you take care of your wife Carol very well... a filipino care for good humble and kind people like you...
I'm sorry your time in India has ended. You did a great job of bringing your viewers along with you. There are a handful of really excellent RUclips vlogs on India and this is now one of them. I do hope you return to catch some of the excellent locations that you missed the first time: Varanasi, Allahabad and Khajuraho are must-see locations. The Golden Temple in Amritsar along with the nearby border crossing into Pakistan are also interesting. Hardiwar and Jim Corbett National Park (wild tigers and elephants in legit jungle) are fascinating locations. Rishikesh too if Carol is feeling like doing more yoga. So much more to see!

Also : south is much better economically so and also the mentality of people is very good . Safe for women and progressive in comparison to North.
Brilliant...absolutely frank and honest feedback. Really appreciate. I am from India and what you said about Agra is very true. The whole place stinks and is dirty ...but its there that we have a wonder of the world. Its a shame.
One of the most unbiased and spot on review I have heard from a foreign traveller. I am glad most of your experience was a positive one.

Delhi and UP are most risk, foreigners should avoid these places of India. People from these places made India a bad reputation. South India is more safe for foreigners. My suggestion to foreigners: Please visit South India and avoid Delhi, UP.

Ok I'll break it down for you:
Avoid:
> North-Central part of India
Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi), Bihar, Haryana
Cautious:
Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha & West Bengal
Visit:
REST OF INDIA
> The True North (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal, Punjab, Uttarakhand)
> The 7 North-East Sister States (Meghalaya, Arunanchal, Sikkim etc)
> The West (Mumbai-Goa, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Maharashtra)
> The South States (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra, Telangana etc)
> The island U.Ts (Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar) (Forgot to mention)
The North-Central part of India- Delhi NCR (Gurugram, Noida) etc sees a great influx of people (mostly migrant workers) from neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh (my state), Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha & West Bengal
Now these states/regions are quite poor (& hence the youth migration) besides being one of the most backward & less educated regions in India.
@@HKHR-j1n
True...but don't you think Iskcon (Hare Krishna):
1) Are already accustomed to Indian culture in some degree & have a positive attitude & curiosity towards things they don't understand, due to their spiritual predilections
2) Many especially the first-timers visit in escorted groups led by senior, more experienced mentors who have already visited India many times.
3) They are not your stereotypical western tourists, they are more of spiritual travellers & hence a special category
My breakdown was for the typical western tourist who have love-hate relationship to India, in part due to the cliche circuits they do thinking it all of India, when we all know there's so much more to love and learn here...

You are hands down the best travel vlog channel I've seen who takes the extra effort to get to know the culture of the local people and give a fair representation of the places visited. majority of people who live in slums in big cities they are migrants of other villages and small towns in india . they have their homes in villages . but they come for better earning but because renting price can be very high in big cities so they live in slums temporarily earn more then move out to bigger houses , then others come . that's how the cycle goes on . india has lifted about 350 mil people out of poverty in last 15 years . you won't find any slum in any village of india .

In India been to Ladakh, Zanskar (crossed Zanskar on foot), Jammu and Kashmir, many mountain places in Himachal Pradesh as well as in Uttar Pradesh. Delhi (including Pahar Ganj), Varanasi, Agra, many places in Rajasthan, Mumbai, Goa many times and Karnataka several times, some parts of Andrah Pradesh, Kerala and many places in Tamil Nadu. Never been to West Bengal, Kalkutta and the states east of Kalkutta. I have been traveling and trekking in Nepal several times. Also been to Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Most of my travels were in the 1980ies and 90ies. Not much traveling recently as I got older and had to work for my pension to come. So there are lots of memories I wouldn't want to miss. Cheers and best wishes. Martin
@@martin36959 Cheers! maybe once you get your pension sorted you can start on some adventures again!?
@@martin36959 Doubt Switzerland is in our budget at the moment haha
@@JumpingPlaces That's the plan. There are a lot of places waiting to be discovered. Never been to north or south america, for example. Switzerland is worth going. It's an expensive place, I agree but it can be done on a shoestring as Gabriel proved. May be Europe will be possible to go in the future.
Good honest review. I apologise on behalf of my countrymen. Thank you for visiting India. Try visiting more places in South India and north-east.
Really enjoyed hearing about your travels. Indian food is my favorite on earth
I honest review, I totally agree with you, whatever you said is 100% true, some Indians superiority complexion won't agree but as a indian I totally agree with you
If anyone wanted to visit India for the first time ... I would recommend starting from the south India (Kerala) and end in the north ..!!!
U miss bengal northeast himalaya and Indian islands...... U should visit these.. They are more beautiful than delhi and agra
Visit north east India, good people, different food, hospitality and beautiful mountain place
I agree with everything that you have said! 100%!
Thanks I tried to be as honest as possible 👍
Chris I thank you very much for making this video you balance the scale by throwing light on both negative and positive
I know that not one if 100s of problem in India. But still I believe my country can offer a lot
Patriarchy and cleanliness are issue we need to deal with.
I would suggest anybody visiting Delhi should stick to south Delhi and stay away from cheap hotels
South india is much more relaxing and some amazing architecture . I wish next time you visit india you also visit north east its really a third India
Merry Christmas and wish that your channel blow up in 2020
A very objective assessment.
The best n balanced n truthful review I came across ever of my country. Thank you. I am ur fan bro.
Bald and Bankrupt good too!
Outstanding review of one of the most fascinating countries on earth. Thanks for your effort.
some suggestion for tourist coming to India.... the problem with foreigner is some times they look for cheap place to stay in Delhi or in other places- avoid it.. and stay in at least some 2 -3 star Hotel, (Indian also dont stay in these places either)...
also it will be nice to book taxis, hotel, probably a guide in advance or have a Indian friend who helps to visit places to avoid scammer, (indian also ask localities when they visit different states)
dont eat street food from very small cheap shops, (even if it taste great) many such small street food shop cant take care of all the hygiene, some may not get sick but some can get. you can easily find some small but good famous restaurant serving the same dish (Indian also don't always eat from cheap local street shop, and even if they do they have a little better immunity to it)
stares are true, (some stares are just curious for all foreigners, its ok), its good to visit places with some body, a Indian friend can tell you where to visit... avoid chaotic places like old cities and small market etc there this is common (but it also depends to you what you exactly want to see in India, some foreigner have no problems going to such chaotic places even in slams)
Cris and Carol keep safe always wherever you go... you take care of your wife Carol very well... a filipino care for good humble and kind people like you...
Merry Christmas 🌟 🎂🎂🎄🎄God bless both of you. Thanks for giving honest review.
Every State in INDIA Has Different Culture & tradition which is unique
