I've had a Lady Bug zdp189 for 6-7 years. Opened a zillion packages, envelopes, plastic packaging ect.
Never have sharpened only an occasional stropping. It remains very sharp.
Was it expensive? Yes but it was worth it. Not too many manufacturers of small quality knives out there.

I have one fully serrated. Its a great keychain knife but it should be closer to $30. Spyderco used to be the value leader in the mid 2000's. It's getting harder for me to justify spending that much on a knife when there are cheaper options with with better materials.

Got a Ladybug 3 and a Finch 2 for a couple years and the only thing I can point out is how solid they are for such little knives. Same blade length as a Dragonfly 2 in a much smaller package, that's smart. Cool vid tho ;-)

Such an underrated knife. I love these. Same for the Roadie, as you mentioned, that knife is just so lovable. I find myself disproportionately drawn to it.

I was just trying out my new Ladybug... And as a novice to these kind of knives, I believe it is better to use two hands to open / close. The knives are a bit too small to keep your fingers out of the way easily while closing... A couple of times, while practicing the back locking action with one hand, the blade swung way low and snapped into its casing, narrowly missing my fingers. I think the Spyderco guys had people like me in mind when giving that advice 😂!

I bought the ZDP-189 version and keep it on my keychain as my secondary. Wife has the lady bug

Most , not all , FRN Spydercos are made in Japan . The FRN Native is made in the USA and the FRN Chapparal is made in Taiwan . I tried a Roadie but I couldn't get excited over it , especially for the price .

I like small knives but it's just too small for me..That's a knife that really needs to be held in hand...Too bad WMK's dosent have a retail store.. I'd take the drive up from Boston..I haven't had problems with Spyderco VG10.. It dosent hold an edge forever but real stainless and sharpens easily.. I have had problems with their S30V chipping, done with that steel..

If you get a chance to do a review for the lionsteel sr-22a that would be awesome. I’m super on the fence about it and all the knives I’ve bought on your reviews have been top. Cheers either way love the videos.

The Byrd finch 2 is highly overlooked for a keychain size knife. Have you looked at the cold steel charm? May be too tiny to actually be useful..?

I respect the "bug" Spydercos and they have their place, just not in my pocket. I kinda like something about that Chicago but... Idk we'll see.

Nice vid, I think it is over priced. I prefer short blades with full sized handles.

I agree, they are both overpriced. I was wanting a Delica until they raised the price. Maybe a sprint run down the road.
