Your statement about the Deadpool movie prompting sales of the Wolverine books supports my view that there should be a subset of the modern age, called the Movie age, beginning with the first X-Men movie back in 2000.
I definitely agree.. I also believe.. like I'm sure a lot of us do.. the modern age should be broken up into a different category. My thought was to call it the "Cinematic Age" and to start it from 2008 to the present.. 2008, being when Iron Man came out starting the MCU.. but 2000 for the Xmen is also a good idea... Jmo 😇
The problem is that the movies don’t just impact modern books. The movies and tv shows impact books associated with those characters. If someone ever developed an index for comics, I could see a tracker for books that are influenced by movies/tv shows. For example, Daredevil 1 has seen a spike in activity due to Echo and the excitement around the MCU show.
@@RegieCollects good point. Yet it seems counterintuitive that the “modern age” as currently constituted would last forever unless some significant change occurs in comic book production.
Love the show. My most recent pick up was Black Lightning #1. Was a great find and must have for any true collector. Keep up the great work Casey Kasem of comics
The big blue chip books hulk 181 e.g. will always be on nearly every list. But what I'd really like to see is more people get interested in indies. They never get enough love
It truly is amazing how media (be it movies or a show) can change the direction of a book. I recall a show where the spawn book was fire and the first Deadpool wasn't even listed. Great video as always.
Still crushing it Regie, these videos as well as all of your other content is so insightful and well researched. Thank you for all you do for the community!
I feel like this is list is pretty much the comics i search on the app to see what sort of prices they are going for. Have quite a few on the list. Great info Regie!
Love the content Regie these top 10 lists help a lot when looking into what keys and hot books collectors we might want to be looking at themselves. I love your insight when it comes to the data it helps a lot. Thank you and keep making great content.
I think it’s great to see a list of modern “classics” that are for the most part affordable in one grade or another. Not sure, but does it feel like these are books people really want for their collections to hold. As always I’m sure everyone appreciates the time and effort you put into these videos. Thanks.
I got found a Batman 423 in one of the recent auction lots I bought... unfortuniatly it is a third printing (no big $) doh lol.. I did however just this week get a 9.9 on a copy of Jag Panzer The Hallowed (cardstock cover).
Nice! Great list. I have most of the books…unfortunately hulk 181 is just a bit out of range for me. Even with the down market…it is still out of my league. About 25 years ago…in NJ I had the chance to buy the nicest copy of 181 I’ve ever seen for $1k. At that time that was also totally out of my league…but as I look back in retrospect, that books would have graded beautifully. Anyway…great video.
Wonder if Wolverine 88 might creep up close after the Deadpool Superbowl add. And Wolverine 1 will Def stay after the cgc signature event they just announced, 5 people associated with that book signing at once 🤯
It’s tough to say without disclosure of number of users or number of transactions. At the end of the day, they are one of the better known platforms out there dedicated to comics so who else would you look to? I share the data and it’s important for folks to decide if it is helpful or not.
Even in failure there can be Nobility! But failing to try brings only shame! Henceforth and forever - I am the Silver Surfer! To save our people, I have sworn to serve Galactus!
@@RegieCollects I have the complete conduction in PC and I just got them back from CGC. 1 came back as 9.6 2 came back as 9.8 and 3 came back as 9.6 and 4 came as 9.4 and 5 came back as 9.8 .I hope to upgrade the the rest lower grades to 9.8 one day
Thanks for the data aggregation. Imagine having to guess which books are most popular without it. Could we get a top 10 best story arc read list... or top 10 best single issue reads? Thanks Regie!
This data captures searches along the buying continuum. Story arcs and single issue reads probably would not show up. For example, Hush is one of DCs best modern Batman stories and I’ve only seen a single issue of the arc show up in the 3 years that I’ve been looking at data like this.
Shame Spawn dropped off, Can't wait for any spawn project. Movie would be great, if done right, but I'd love them to bring back the HBO spawn series. If X-Men 97' can exist why not Spawn 99' LETS GO‼️ #BringBackSpawnHBOseries
It would be interesting to track how long it takes for each of these books to drop off this list. My guess would be at least 10 years for there to be that big of a drop off in the popularity of these 10 books as a whole.
@@RegieCollects I know. But my wonderings were more along the lines of how long it would take for all 10 of those books to drop out, as it would amount to a big change in the market.
And, my response is basically still the same. The books are always in fluxes so that clock would never really start. If comics are being published around these characters and movies are being made. Put another way, this list probably has been the “same” for decades. 😂🤣
Interesting that Marvel's transactional share went up... clearly MCU speculation is alive and well and still driving back issue searches. Why else would Dardevil #1 all of sudden be trending? Because of anticipation for the new show.
9 for 10.....including daredevil 1 5.0 and ff48 9.4.....missing xmen #1......fantastic content and video...thumbs up!!!!!!

Casey Kasem..! I never knew..😮😮😂

From an investment standpoint, it’s a challenge.
Great Video Regie! AOK is fine for me... need some keys.😁

Thanks for the video! I never understood the community attraction to that Batman Todd cover. It’s neat for sure but wow is it priced up there!

Appreciate the kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video. 👊🏾
Great job! First time seeing you present this topic. I own 3 of 10 books!
Great video, Regie. Cool to see some prior unattainable books becoming atttainable.

Keep up the great work! Out of all of those books I still need DD 1 and X-Men 1.

Just picked up a hulk 340 off shortboxed!
Nice. Congratulations
Thanks Reggie for your channel I have two of those books
Thanks for the data! Appreciate it!

The only one I’m missing is the fantastic four and the X-men. the FF is on my want list. Prob next buy
Always love these videos Regie! Can we take a second tho and acknowledge that back wall 👏🏽👏🏽
😂 Appreciate it.
Yoooooo reg always a good vid I need a few of those books on this list !!! The god father of comics !!! 😊😊😊
Thanks for the list! Surprised the McFarlane Batman made the top 10 but happy to see DC represented.
Great vid Reggie. I have 4 of those books listed.
Excellent video as always, sir!
Some interesting data but I'd be curious how effective of a sample size this is given shortbox's size in the market.

THAT FF 48 IS ON MY RADAR !!!
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU AT SHORTBOXED LIVE REGIE ARE YOU GOING TO BE SPEAKING THERE AS WELL ?
Yes, I’ll be on stage again this year. Looking forward to it.
Even in failure there can be Nobility! But failing to try brings only shame! Henceforth and forever - I am the Silver Surfer! To save our people, I have sworn to serve Galactus!
GREAT INFO AND CONTENT AS ALWAYS REGIE! LOVE THE CHANNEL! SALUTE!
2 silver Age, 2 Bronze Age, and 6 modern comics on the list!
Still chasing an ASM #300! One day it will be mine. One day.....
I like the list of in demand books. Would be curious of this is like monthly or what
Yes, I release this data month and have for the last year or so. Thanks for asking.
I'm new to comics but if had to pick one comic to buy right now it would be #9 Batman issue 423 that has to my favorite
Dear Regie. Collectors ALWAYS want Market sales and values for their comics. A midweek Top 50 sales video would do well from all you guys.
All interesting information but really surprising to see Daredevil #1 most of the rest are the usual suspects, thank you Reggie
Great video. Love spider man comics
I enjoy your content and follow you on iG also. How is your blue marvel collection going ? Are you close to have 1-5 at 9.8 ?
I snagged a 5 9.6 because that 9.8 is hard to come by. Keeping my eyes open for the 4 at a 9.8.
@@RegieCollects I have the complete conduction in PC and I just got them back from CGC. 1 came back as 9.6 2 came back as 9.8 and 3 came back as 9.6 and 4 came as 9.4 and 5 came back as 9.8 .I hope to upgrade the the rest lower grades to 9.8 one day
Lots of RED on all those covers🤔
Wolverine about to be hot again punisher also
Can anyone recommend a decent, free site or app that provides free price history data?
Shortboxed has pricing data built into it. ComicsPriceGuide.com also allows for free searches with registration-I believe that’s true.
Thanks for the data aggregation. Imagine having to guess which books are most popular without it. Could we get a top 10 best story arc read list... or top 10 best single issue reads? Thanks Regie!

Oh, I wasn't meaning a top 10 best reads from data. It's more of an opinion based list. I think we would all appreciate a list of your favorites.
Hope dc gets some more love with James Gunn taking over
7 out of 10, not a bad average 😉
Wow, I thought ultimate fallout would be higher,.
Honestly dont have any of these😢
I think this video is bupkis - no mention of Turok 1 makes me sus. I’ll make a deal with you - award me with a shortbox gc and I’ll use it 👍
😂🤣

sic video marvel heavy

There are fluctuations in the list almost every month with some books dropping out entirely only to rebound a month or two later.
@@RegieCollects I know. But my wonderings were more along the lines of how long it would take for all 10 of those books to drop out, as it would amount to a big change in the market.
That is, all 10 gone from the list at the same time.
And, my response is basically still the same. The books are always in fluxes so that clock would never really start. If comics are being published around these characters and movies are being made. Put another way, this list probably has been the “same” for decades. 😂🤣

Lower prices versus the last few years could be a huge factor.
A $100 credit could be used to purchase one of the Top 10 books in your list!

She’s right. His first full appearance is 300. Full appearances matters.
